That's why I always want full depth of field in my videos backgrounds out of focus seeme ameritous to me. Especially when it the target of the video.

I video Radio Controlled Model Airplanes 99% of the time. I use a video camera because they have a Parfocal lense 0f 20X and I can focus it full zoom at infinity and every thing within 15' will be in focus at any zoom. When a guy is going to dig a smok'en hole with his $20K R/C Toy Jet, I want every piece flying through the air in perfect focus when I SLO-MO the disaster. JUST ME I guess.
@@HoundDogMech I think depth of field could be used and should not be completely avoided nor overuse it. It should be used when it helps and drive the story forward or as a last resort when you need subject isolation and you don't have any. It's an exception at night though when you need as much light as possible just to get the footage. But either way, we should not expect and apply films and movie standards to a TH-camr, especially when it's quantity-based and not quite quality.
@@THEMATT222 What you say might be true for a storytelling video, but mine just show model airplanes mostly just a Taxi out take off a couple of passes and a landing ... Don't need or want anything out of focus in the back ground ... Just me I guess .... This is especially true on telephoto shots with mountains in the background. There's enough motion blur which I also hate when single framing. But that's just me what do I know...

I’ve had my 90d for just about a month now, coupled with the Rode VideoMicro. I’m really happy with it. Highly recommend it.

4k is the way to go. In post production you can crop in and choose a different part! Do that with 1080p 😅
And now you can only watch videos in mobile at 480p this really sucks
My phone (Moto G7 Optimo Maxx) only does 720p! Still, I don't see it as a problem. It looks good to me. The price was low, and the battery life is epic.
@Jose no TH-cams new policy is that we can only watch 480p videos whatsoever on mobile but we can watch 720p and 1080p videos on other devices
@Jose are you sure coz I checked it out on multiple devices and the max limit is 480p

@@TonyMellinger Canon just does whatever they want and hopes Potatoes will sell their cameras anyway. This camera could have easily come out a couple of years ago. #RIPCanon
All you guys have to remember that the eos R has a full frame sensor and the 90D has a smaller sensor by 1.6x I think, so maybe they can do 4K uncroped in aps-c sensor but not a full frame sensor.
Chris Klugh well it still works for me. I appreciate the stability and consistency canon offers. They check all the right boxes for me as a pro. I’m not complaining about the way release products.
I really don't get the hype for 24p. Unless you're screening in a theater that can display true 24 frames a second, you're showing on TV's or displays with 60 Hz refresh rates, so 60 fps. Then 24 doesn't divide evenly into it, so you might have slightly more motion blur being at 1/48 instead of 1/60th shutter speed, but you get stuttery unsmooth motion when it skips frames to cram 24 fps into 60. Why not just shoot 29.97 where it goes evenly into it, just showing each frame for 2 refreshes? Literally just the extra motion blur?

I was blown away by the autofocus at the beginning of the video, the moment the camera doesnt cover your face it immediately focus it
The noise on the Tokina was surprisingly not that bad. Especially compared to some sigma lenses I have where they loudly grind away. Thanks for the quick review on that. On the amazon wish list now :)

I've just bought the 90d and filming the unboxing....to edit I use an old macbook pro from 2012...so it's screen is not exactly ideal for my purposes...but my wallet still hurts from buying the 90d...I live in Madrid...is there any chance of you sending it to Spain? Keep it up! You rock!

Brings out the cuteness of the dog in 4k.
Obviously there is an issue with the flip to the side screen. When you are looking at it, your looking to the side. That can be aggravating to the viewer.
Metabones just announced an EF to RF speedbooster for the EOSR. It reduces the 4K crop from 1.76x back to 1.2x. You should check it out. Nice video by the way ☺️☺️👍👍
That Porsche is sick, but honestly Tesla blows them away when you consider price to performance. The Tesla P100 is the fastest car in the world, has a huge range and is about half the price of this Porsche!
