One of my favorite games of all time. Just how fun and goofy the characters are, and how the story goes too is just really nostalgic. I remember being so frustrated as a kid on 1-1, not knowing that I could point the wii remote at the TV to find the flip ability to advance through the game 😂😂😂

The game over cutscene in space happens AFTER you get the space helmet. You have to refuse to put it on every time you're prompted, but halfway through, Tippi will try to trick you by changing the question. At this point, you should say yes to her Questions. Eventually, she'll give up and leave you to suffocate in space.

You totally should! When I was younger, I recall playing it and not caring much for the text, but when I replayed it a couple of years later and beat the final boss, it was brilliant and it’s such a sad but amazing story. It will make you cry but in a good way.

The Character arriving in space and noticing the lack of air and then being teleported isn't a game over, that's plot to prompt you to go get the fishbowl "helmet". The secret game over is if you refuse to put on the helmet once you take it back there.
I bet there's someone out there who thought the UnderChomp fight was a reference to Undertake considering the fight is like a traditional RPG and the name, but Undertale wasn't even in development until years after this game released

i don't understand why people keep thinking that the first time entering space is a *secret* game over... you're literally required to do it to progress

Super paper mario is probably the best paper mario (except for my terrible wii remote aiming skills), the 2D to 3D mechanic was super cool, the Mimi chase sequence was horifiying, some of the level ideas, such as the bitlands, are really cool. Plus the pixl abillities are really intresting, especially when swapping to the most efficent one, you can play as peach and bowser. The best part is the music, the theme "Mimi the copycat" is catchy, the Mr L theme is great, & the boss music is awesome.
At 7:45, Isn't that ambient sound in the backround the same sound effect as the ambiance in the pit of 100 trials at the 100th floor in Paper Mario ttyd?
super paper Mario also has unique game overs during the battle against the underchomp for all characters except peach(as she's not available) if they fall against it(which is.. the one thing everyone misses or perhaps never really sees)
Considering the fact that spider lady says nobody uses coins anymore yet the vase cost 1 million rubees but Tippi says it can’t cost more than 100 coins, that would imply that 1 coin (at the high end ((also I’m not good at calculating))) would be 10000 rubees and a rubee would be 0.0001 coins, spider lady is being SERIOUSLY screwed over right now
I like the "over the flagpole" one which says that exploiting glitches is cheating. Not that that's ever stopped anyone, especially those cheating speedrunners.
And when Tippi said "I really wish you hadn't done that.... good-bye" it actually felt hurtful
She really said "a'ight I'm out"
