      Could you please help me how to create music spectrum in davinci resolve asap.

      There's no way to do that natively, unfortunately, because the Fusion page doesn't allow audio playback. But there are some third party plugins that can help you do it.

    Hi Jay I got a new gaming laptop which I made a video on my channel for DaVinci Resolve editing. It has the new AMD 4600H and GTX1650 and only 8GB ram now - more ram on the way. But I edited a whole 20 minute and was surprise that DaVinci Resolve ran much much faster and almost no lag compared to my older GTX 860m that had 16gb ram. So it did swap and was using 16GB virtual memory but I didn't notice it as there was no lag. That's amazing; can't wait to see how fast and fun editing after the ram upgrade. just FYI

    is there any EQ plugin for davinci that let you use more than 6 bands?

  • @TC_Conner

    Hey Jay! Nice little piece about audio plugins. I dont use them, but would consider it since I've found DR 16's audio mixer to be quite limited.

    • @JayLippman
      @JayLippman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's weird. compared to a DAW it's pretty limiting.But it's still got more than most NLEs out there. Thanks for watching!!

    I use some stuff from Isotope.... mainly the denoiser... but I would point out that it can cause DR to really use a lot more processing power.. the truth is that is you practice a lot with the plugins in resolve they work well. I just wish that the EQ resolve would show the audio wave form...

    • @JayLippman
      @JayLippman  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You and me both. And I agree. You can do everything you need to in Resolve. But sometimes plugins can help speed up the editing process.

  • @reivaxfun
    @reivaxfun 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    My favourite plugins are the Fabfilter suite, the Izotope RX7 for all kind of denoising and of course the wave suite, but this one is too expensive for me, I use it at work.
    And the Fairlight built-in plugs are nice ! There are limitations, especially the EQ or the sidechain compression, but it is still a good start for beginners and people who can't afford paid plugins !

    • @JayLippman

      Agreed! Fairlights plugins are nice for sure.

    Would you be able to do a video on how to make music sound really good? I do workout vids & have music over my workout with no vocals

    • @JayLippman
      @JayLippman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      What do you mean by "sound really good?" Most music is already mixed and mastered, so it's just a matter of normalizing the audio so it's not too loud or too quiet.

  • @robgowler378

    Jay, great instructional vids you’re putting out there! Any chance you can tell me how to sync multiple audio tracks to one video track...? I have embedded timecode in the camera as well as the external audio. For the life of me I can’t get it to work and it sure seems like DR is not capable of doing this...?

    • @JayLippman
      @JayLippman  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think there's a way to do it automatically with more than one audio track. You will have to do it manually.
