At this point, oneplus is getting too expensive for me. Xiaomi on the other hand still maintains dominant in flagship and budget phones(in my heart). With cheap prices, and great software improvements. They hear to their customers and still maintain at a price range that we can afford. They give you a big battery instead slimmer phones. They give you a better processor paired with great software. They give rewards to their devoted fans and developers. And the software is easy to learn, and customisation is wide and creative.

The video of op5 has a lot of detail but it seems to have a poor dynamic range. You can see that the sky was usually blown out.
Ian Badilla It has better dynamic range than Iphone 7. Check Oneplus 5 review of Dave2d. He mentioned about that even with a photo comparison.

Even today's cameras on smartphones have to bow down to the almighty Lumia Zeiss cameras. I have a Lumia 950xl that I use sometimes to keep track of W10M and that thing is just out of this world and still killing it without no DxO ratings, no hype, no recognition. I keep switching my SIM to the Lumia more often just to take it with me on trips and shoot everything on sight, is that good. I can't justify the price of the 1+5 cause the Lumia cost me 275 brand new on Amazon, best 275 that I have spent on a phone period.

The use of the term HDR on the annotations would confuse some people as HDR stands for something specific, and that's not happening in these video recordings. "Good dynamic range" would have been a more accurate phrase to use than "Good HDR performance". ☺

It's hard to believe the footage was from a smartphone camera. Details and clarity were amazing. As you mentioned, overexposure and lack of OIS were main do drawbacks. Overall for a video it felt like pretty damn good camera. Not sure about the still images though. how about a comparison of OP5, Pixel and iPhone7plus cameras?
