maereth Bice didn't quit on them but some of them were about to quit on him. These Seal fratboys almost broke some of these guys. They learned a valuable lesson. NEVER QUIT ON SOMEONE THAT HASN'T QUIT ON YOU. That goes for those in the front of the line just as well as those in the back of the line.
+Isaac Bice Man you are awesome sir! The only thing holding you from doing that pull up was the extra weight you had around your mid section. But as far as 'giving it your all', I could see in your face that you were giving it %100! You did your best. With most people, their mind quits before their body and they don't realize that they have more in them. In your situation, your body quit on you when your mind never did, only because of the extra weight. But you can always lose extra pounds. You never quit, and thank God they didn't quit on you. You are awesome sir! A total inspiration. God bless you!
It's a program they volunteered for; even if they fail the course, does not mean they are fired. Challenges are exactly that, challenges. It's not always a happy ending. There are lessons in failure. There is something gained by coming up short. Men have egos, we are tough to admit our shortcomings. SEALs are reality. They bring reality to the public. Teamwork. Mental/physical confidence. We could all use a little.
I think this is great. it teaches you that you have the mental strength to get through some really difficult situations. Schools don't teach that anymore. they coddle kids with "you can do anything Johnny. Here's you medal for losing." Life is tough and people are pricks. push through dammit. get it done!
They learn.... 1. Trust the process. We don’t always appreciate the process of learning, but we must trust those that have gone before us. 2. Details Matter. Details can make the difference between success and failure and even life or death. 3. Live in the moment. Focus on the here and now. Don’t think too far beyond what it takes to overcome the obstacle directly in front of you. Fear of the what if’s are devastating. 4. Never quit. Don’t give up on what you desire to accomplish. 5. Take care of your teammates. You can do far more as a team than you ever can as an individual. Never leave a man down. Better people are those that understand these principles and desire to make the world a better place. Better people are those more concerned about other than they are about themselves.
Okay it's a good way to teach team work but well cause a safety hazard in the real life work state. I know about working long hours and being called out for powercalls. the navy training should've done the training on line work.
It would set me up for buds. I would sign the form sense im over the milatarys age limit and i would give it a go. All i can do is die here were i live an die all alone. I dnt want that i want to be a seal spcealized in breeching and a machine gunner operator holding down exstensive fire. I want to knock doors down and stand my ground while doing it. Or die trying. I may not have my family but i still have to prove i can be someone i am someone i can be something more then just a dreamer reminiscing of the past and what i could of bin, life set me up for something stronger something dangerous something unsure of a homecoming someday but positive of remembrance for as long as my country carrys on. An Plus in the cold of the mudd pit i want to be up to my neck in the coldest elements this world has to offer and sing a song
Wilkerson uses the "blood sugar" excuse just like a lot of guys do. Bottom line is he can't handle being told what to do and he doesn't have enough self respect to not quit.
I worked for the agency not soto i didnt quit i resquested a job transfer cuz i do not need a sexual harrasment lawsuit filed against me like that white female was planning to do to me if i stayed. Point blank i got into it with herb he didnt want to fight he wanted to look cool i got into it with sal i dnt even know him but he took things to far u was down but whatever uno like i said im not gonna wait around for the third bunch bullshit to accur and im fighting against a female for my image as if pat wouldnt help her and set me up in the long run. I know wassup so like i said if sal ever wants to come see me again and not bring his brother my way then fuck it im down. Til then i didnt quit i quited while i was still ahead theres a difference.
Sounds like he needs more work on his argument that linemen need seal training, lol. Taliban on the line? lol. These men and women need to keep this shit up for their career for it to mean anything.
Couldn't mental discipline be developed more effectively and more humanely through meditation like the Shaolin monks do? Beasting merely creates beasts.
+alex campbell Sure that will get you a certificate in sitting still but when the shit hits the fan and you are in a shitstorm of lightning and wind you need more. You need to be in shape, self reliant if need be and be able to improvise and lead. Don't see a lot of Shaolin monks repairing power lines.
Ridiculous only in America would they militarize this type of training How about- 1. Learn about electricity and safety 2. Learn how to climb poles END OF TRAINING
I don't know, just from the intro alone I can see this training is unnecessary. They start bringing in military-like training in every kind of (government) work & training (most of all the police). They call it making you mentally strong, but what it actually does desensitizing you to your own and fellow human suffering. As a soldier this may be good, but nationwide this is wrong. I get some selection-training is required but SEALS? Remember this a elite department not even soldiers get trained like seals, the training does have to make sense for this line of work. It's not necessary to break someone psychologically to figure out if they are fit for this type of work.
+reconx86 don't tell other people that's it's wrong if it isn't for you. SLTC is right... this teaches you that you are much more capable than what you believe you are. If we as a culture (in the U.S.) put an emphasis on developing mental toughness for our youth then we might not have so many school shootings. Just a thought... this doesn't teach you to be a mindless robot (??).
you're an idiot. I used to be a wildland firefighter and we did similar training and if you got into smoke jumping or hot shot crew then you got your ass beat down physically and mentally so you don't fucking panic and die when shit hits the fan. a linemens job is extremely dangerous and helicopter deployment even more so. So shut the fuck up! you probably sit your fat ass in an office somewhere and the only exercise you do is arm curls when you're shoving donuts down your gullet. tired of weak ass people these days.
This whole Seal idolization thing is very suspect and from all the comments on this page, it is the training now viewed close up that failed this test guys. Not the guys your yelling at like a dissatisfied women would do!
Bice, if you ever get the chance to read this, you have been a huge inspiration for me. Thank you, you rock.
maereth Bice didn't quit on them but some of them were about to quit on him. These Seal fratboys almost broke some of these guys. They learned a valuable lesson. Mad respect for Pickering she wasnt born with the male natural strength but she is one tough cookie YOU GO GIRL !!!!!!!
It's a program they volunteered for; even if they fail the course, does not mean they are fired. Challenges are exactly that, challenges. It's not always a happy ending. There are lessons in failure. I have mad respect for Pickering!
Awesome, I wish more employers would sponsor their people to do things like this!
I think this is great. it teaches you that you have the mental strength to get through some really difficult situations. Schools don't teach that anymore. they coddle kids with "you can do anything Johnny. Here's you medal for losing." Life is tough and people are pricks. push through dammit. get it done!
I see nothing but positivity from this!
Awesome video. I think every team based group of people could benefit from this course.
1:07:00 The Seal walks over and bypassing others shakes BIKS's hand - that guy BIKS must have impressed him.
What a tough excersise, more so fr that girl who was not on any of the interview, happy to see her finish.
Brice can be my wingman anytime. No quit in that young man. If he started working out on a regular basis, he would be a beast..Good job Brice.
Thanks for the suggestions you have contributed here.
it's scary but i kind want to do it.

I had a guy named bice in my division in navy boot camp and he was exactly the same as this guy. I swear this one is his younger brother.
"You look like you know exactly what a sugar cookie is"😂😂😂
No way! The big guy named bice, Im like 99% sure he was in navy boot camp with me like 8 years ago.
After watching further, it looks more like it would be his younger brother.
Mental toughness, best strength in the world

Poor fella,,,,, my heart broke at " David said it was gonna be fun" 😩😝 CONGRATULATIONS tho guys, that looked brutal 👍✌️
like I see it, there is one big lesson in it, don t ever quit!!
How is this making them into better ppl? I ask myself this question and an adequate answer doesn't come to mind.
They learn....

I remember sugar cookies being a mixture of sweat and sand. The water ruins the recipe.
Okay it's a good way to teach team work but well cause a safety hazard in the real life work state. I know about working long hours and being called out for powercalls.
the navy training should've done the training on line work.
Lmao pretend someone's eating your lucky charms!!! Hahahahaa this guy funny
I would do this as long as it was'nt televised.
It would set me up for buds. I would sign the form sense im over the milatarys age limit and i would give it a go. All i can do is die here were i live an die all alone. pay a company to make you suffer! why not put on a heavy pack and climb up a mountain for free?
some people just don't have the motivation and others like teamjob its a personal thing you know
There no way 99% of people would be able to put themselves through the same thing on their own. It just doesnt work like that.

that just seems like bullshit more than anything
Now these guys think they are tough. Lol
