    This is the authoritative and official TotalMix walkthrough. Thank you.
    Barry John's is cool and all but he overcomplicates the mental model by telling people to think top down.
    I corrected it by saying what was done here by understanding that the bottom row on click/select shows what is going on above.
    Think bottom up to keep your sanity.

    hey,
    thank you sooo much (again) for that overall walkthrough.
    I would like to ask something:
    when I switch in the view options "submix" to "free" mode then have some input-channels being labeled at the bottom "n.a." witch meens "not availible". in that state I can't make any routing to that channel. why is that or what have I done wrong in the settings??? when I switch back to "submix" mode, all channels are labeled as normal again.
    I realy love my Babyface Pro fs-it brought so much value into my workflow.

    really wish total mix had a Auxiliary IO mapping options . so that you could just use your out board Effects units . Some sort of add Aux button and select Send & return IO . This way with a couple of ADAT you could record a live performance with effects .

I have some questions: is it possible to integrate whit a radio broadcasting sw app ? the problem is how to route back into the broadcasting software the separate signal for music and mic since the decoding is done inside the broadcasting sw? Another question: can the mic be routed out to a plugin and then get back? Probably in the software input it will get back after I saw your video.

    Thinking about buying a Babyface and wondering when would one actually need dynamics to be available in TotalMix instead for recording dry and adding that in the DAW later where it can be adjusted any time - instead of recording a wet signal!?

    • @drwmedia
      @drwmedia ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because the effects are internal DSP from the Babyface it reduces the cpu load in your DAW, that’s the main benefit. So would be primarily for those dealing with major cpu load issues
