- I decided to take my Straight Piped Subaru STI out for a drive. The weather wasn't too bad and I wanted to try out my new GoPro setup.

Do I want a hawkeye STI or a newer 2015 + Wrx limited... decisions lol. I want for a daily driver with at least 300-350 WHP to begin with and somewhat good gasmileage. Hawkeye's my favorite subaru bodystyle so its hard.

Definitely a Hawkeye STI! A lot cheaper, a lot better looking, and just way more iconic. Newer Gen Subarus arent that great. Too much technology.
@@chefboiiihardy9820 I agree. Like for a daily it would be nice to have all bells and whistles, never had that before, I come from a old F150 lol. I just like these Hawkeyes better but dont have as much comfort stuff in it. What MPG do you get with what mods? If i can get in the city like 17-20 as worst with driving spirited occasionally or often that be nice lol. Also the transmissions is bulletproof in the STI as well. The new STI's actually get really bad gas mileage according to the listed, 16/22! like wtf lol. Im PA too bruh btw. Nice to see hawkeyes are still around.
@@KingZD1 definitely! Newer ones are nice for dailying. Idk 100% what mpg I get but i think it is around 18 or 19.
@@chefboiiihardy9820 thats mainly city? yea thats not too bad what engine mods u have? i looked up a Tune and a Turboback exhaust should net about 300 whp which im fine with for now just want it reliabiliy. i still got time to think about it

Any tips on buying a subaru? I'm looking at 04-07 models and I can't decide if I should avoid modded ones are not.. I know if I get one unmodded I'm going to put your basic equip your basic bolt ons and tune it, but I won't go crazy with it. It'll be my daily driver and I'll need to be as reliable as possible.
If you can find stock, go for that! Make sure you mod it safely to avoid any major issues. And id recommend taking it to a pro for a tune.
Is that an autocruise behind the steering wheel? This is 2.5 STI?
It is! It works great. I dont use it often but it's there lol
