I respectfully disagree, his approval rating is barely above 40% which is terrible considering the economy is very strong right now. Also you can clearly see his poll numbers drop when he fired the FBI director, picked a fight with the gold star family, etc. I'd bet if he just shut up for a while his approval rating would climb. It probably helped home in the primary as there being so many people that any news helps him (and primary votes being more likely to agree with the radical statements anyways)
This is very interesting and has helped me understand how I, as a person who used to hate Trump with a passion and believed every bad thing the media said about him, turned into a supporter. The media's 24/7 bashing made me sympathize with him because of the reprehensible way he was being treated. I think him calling the media "fake" over and over again helped reinforce the impression that everything bad the media said about him was suspect and dishonest. The first time I heard him speak as a newly elected president I knew all of the bad things I'd heard about him were false. Yes, he can be a jerk, thin skinned and immature but that's minor compared to the wonderful things he's done for America. I shudder at the thought of Biden winning and the rabid far Left Progressives' agenda undoing all of the good that Trump has done.

This is very interesting and has helped me understand how I, as a person who used to hate Trump with a passion and believed every bad thing the media said about him, turned into a supporter. The media's 24/7 bashing made me sympathize with him because of the reprehensible way he was being treated. I think him calling the media "fake" over and over again helped reinforce the impression that everything bad the media said about him was suspect and dishonest.
The first time I heard him speak as a newly elected president I knew all of the bad things I'd heard about him were false. Yes, he can be a jerk, thin skinned and immature but that's minor compared to the wonderful things he's done for America. I shudder at the thought of Biden winning and the rabid far Left Progressives' agenda undoing all of the good that Trump has done.

Exactly. I am a LEGAL immigrant. It took us 7 years to get our green card (we are from Europe btw). If we would NOT have received our green card, which happened to many people I know esp. after so many illegals came in, we would have packed up our 3 kids, who are born in the USA and are therefore citizens. @Bad Hombre - Totally agree. The iconic photo of a little girl crying has been totally discredited by....her parents!! I've seen clips of this in various places - the parents WITH the little girl say that they were never separated at the border. As far as the image - one can go to Walmart (and a lot of other places - just using this as an example where I see a lot of crying children) and see crying children, take a photo, and try to pass it off as something it's not.

He's literally saying "you didn't build your business" by suggesting that the channels and instrumentalities you use, including roads, cars, pencil sharpner, table, chair etc was built by someone else and by using those things in your business, society essentially built that business.
That's that SAME ideology behind socialism. There's no factoring of entrepreneurship, risk taking, management of resources including time, money and energy, or ingenuity.
By suggesting that society built your business, you're suggesting you don't own the business and but instead, society owns the business and therefore, taxing your business to any measure or throwing certain mandates on your business is not all that bad if it is being done for the "good of society" as it's the society we're trying to take care of, not the individual.
