Kind sir, thank you very much for your review and recommendation. Post listening to your video and absorbing your review along with completing a little more research on Zorin OS (along with trying Linux Mint), I plunged into Zorin OS fully today. I literally formatted my SSD containing the ridiculously bloated and intrusive Windows 11 and ran Zorin all day on my desktop and am very, very impressed thus far. This OS is absolutely beautiful, it is silky smooth and is very fast and snappy with ease of use. In addition, this OS offers a great UI that offers simple tailoring and customization of the OS interface in relation to design and functionality of it. Everything just works with Linux too. I am a little in awe to be honest, as I have not really used Linux too much to date but am sold on day one. The visuals within this UI are majestic I must admit...premium indeed. We are sadly being taken by Microsoft.
I actually ended up getting Zorin Pro; I could have tailored the free version easily but do believe in supporting strong efforts made as to what I have seen in Zorin - I do not regret this version a bit. The open source programs are very powerful. They do come with a bit of a learning curve but if you are okay with office and design applications, you will catch on quickly with little issue. This has been a very sound upgrade on day one.
Thank you again for sharing - well done within your advise and review.
    Cheers!!

Linux is great for home users. Most of us cannot afford a new computer every three years and Linux is a great alternative. You have a variety of desktops to choose from and they're beautiful. I find it a very logical OS. Yes you have to learn how to do a few things different like software installs, but nothing more complicated than getting into a new job. The majority of us have the ability do do the basics. This channel is a great showcase so you as a potential user can see what it is about. I for one cannot be convinced to go back to Windows. To me Linux is fun and over the years I've grown to love it, simply because it is fun and you can play with all sorts of software and do amazing things once you start digging. Go Steve!

I'm a Linux missionary, also. Been using it for years now. I needed a disposably cheap laptop for travel. Bought a $169 "Windows Student" machine with only 4 and 64 Gb of power and two-core processor. Can hardly get more basic. It runs Zorin Core like a scalded cat. I don't run games on it; it's basically a browser and office suite machine. But that's all that most home users do, anyway. My daily tower runs Mint. Either one will feel like home to any Windows sufferer.

Last time Windows was fun was Windows XP. Since then it's more and more of MS forcing things on you, forcing entire experience. You don't feel anymore like it's your system, you feel like you're using something that does not belong to you. Since I switched to Linux I regained that sense of control over my computer and also just playing with desktop is fun again. I run Windows on my server due to some programs being windows exclusive and I don't like to switch to that computer I hate that desktop on Windows 11 and I don't feel safe or private using that computer

you make no sense, the clueless windows user wont run into the problems you had on your windows install.
they also don't know how to install an os.
many people don't use their pc like you do and all the other linux users do. nor do they care what the os does, as long as it runs the browser properly.
which is probly why linux will stay such a small group of people compared to windows.
if windows recall and windows dropping old cpu's for newer versions doesn't make people straight up leave windows, nothing will.

I'm more of a Linux Mint fan myself. I switched over to primarily using Linux a year and a half ago, and for the most part it has worked well for me. I've got a tablet that runs Zorin OS off of a thumb drive and it works pretty well for that purpose, but there are just some parts of Mint that I like more.

I have a question why are you so awesome? But seriously, why do you try to convince all those hard headed windows users that don't want to see the light and use Linux. They always make me laugh, they don't want to learn a new OS that's working so well but rather learn all these programs and tweaks to make their OS stop spying on them lol.

I want to stay glued to Garuda Dragonized because I think I found a most wonderful beautiful modern Linux distro more than Windows 11 I am not really a hater on both Windows and Linux I want to dual boot it with Windows 10 because I want to play games on Windows while I learn Linux idk what to do at this point and need some serious help because I got a switching addiction now because I can't make up my bloody mind.

not all users can replace windows. if people use their computers for things like games guess what they can't use a OS like linux. not only that there are people that use office software that was only design for windows and not linux. can people start saying if people are able to they should think about switching from windows. instead of thinking that every last person on the planet can just get rid of windows. there is a lot of videos that keep saying you need to stop using windows today. like linux is the magic bullet for all the computer problems in the wrold. casue there are a lot of people that don't really know much about computers that will try to switch to linus only to find out that they are even more lost in using their computer then before.

Yes they can and I did. I used to use Windows 7 and 8 but when Microsoft stopped support for those version I switched to Linux. Because I didn't want to upgrade to Windows 10 and Windows 11 is even worse. I have been on Linux for 2 years now and it's much better than Windows. No more waiting hours for updates to download and no more freezes and crashes or waiting ages for programs to load which I got with Windows 8. I started off with Linux Mint and now I am using Debian. If it's a case of your computer cannot run Linux or it's too old, then get rid of it and get another one. There are plenty of refurbished laptops about if you cannot afford a new one. They run Linux great. You will also save money as Linux is free and Windows is not. I will never use Windows 11 it is a lousy version of Windows. Worse version of Windows ever.

There are plenty of open source and closed source office suites which work on Linux. No matter the word editor, the first thing I do after installing it, is to go in the settings to make sure that by default, the files are saved in .doc (or, how is today, .docx) format, so that I don't have "surprises" later on, when I send the file, or I need to open it on someone else's computer.
