    As an Islamic westerner, his message of the necessity of Khilafah with all other responsibilities resonates given our reality.

    The last degree reminded me of motherhood and what a beautiful thing it is. The fish are safe under the care of the mama fish, who takes care of those creatures and makes sure they're fed and safe.

    This should be a strong reminder, being Khalifah, not easy because too many temptations. The key is not to think only about ourselves but how we can help each other to be better and better and put our best efforts to leave behind something meaningful or useful for the next generations. Once I was intimidated by someone at work, unfortunately this person was my own boss. I was forced to do a copyright infringement of a book. This was not the first time they forced me to do something illegal, before that i was forced to do a bribery. They said it's not illegal, it's helping the company or the workers who cannot pass a test for their promotion. The sad thing is those who forced me were praying 5 times a day, at least. They talked about integrity, but what they did was forcing people to do something illegal. I tried to report this to a higher officer and also to the whistle blower department but it's useless, they did not do anything about it. The boss gave me a threat before i finished my contract in the company that it was about whether the company would consider to extend my contract or not. And because i insisted i didn't want to do what they made me do, I'm no longer with them. Now I focus on my family and keep reminding them about the importance of integrity. I think I have tried to be a khalifah in a way and reminding people about doing a good thing is not easy especially when it involves power and money. Thank you for bringing up this topic.

    Sallam, greetings and blessings from the UK Tom, what a beautiful reminder particularly the last bit about being Allah`s khalifah on earth never looked at it that way before, I guess one of the highest good we can do is to do good towards Allah`s creation for the sake of Allah

    Assalamualaykum.
    In regards to the grateful aspect, can it not be argued that its difficult to be grateful for something precisely because one did not ask for it? How can one be indebted over an item that one didnt really ask for?

    • @UTICAMASJID
      @UTICAMASJID  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Walaykum assalaam wa rahmatullah
      I'm not sure I follow your reasoning here. Not asking for something would increase, in my observation, the sense of indebtedness because asking is more transactional in nature. Allah knows best.

    Dear brother. I respectfully disagree. Based on what does/do he/you conclude that vicegerency is the highest purpose? Higher than worship? How could that be, when being a vicegerent is a form/actualization/practice of worship? Maybe I am confused because I don’t understand your definition of purpose. As for me, I see worshiping Allah at once as (a) the goal or, if you will, the most basic human need, and (b) in the form of vicegerency (and all that that entails) the means to achieve/satisfy that goal/need. I’d appreciate your help. Thank you. Salam.

      @amrojjeh ปีที่แล้ว +6

      From my understanding, the highest degree encompasses the first two, and of course wanting to establish a just society for the sake of Allah is a form of worship. First level is trying to survive, second level is recognizing your personal debt to Allah but worrying about your own personal worship, and the third level is going beyond yourself and leading a community for the sake of Allah.

    Be a khalifa and work for Khilafah, the Khilafah (Rashidah), where there would be a supreme Khalifa as the Ameer (leader) of the believers and the citizens, where 100 % Islam would be implemented, and so justice.

    ما قلته جميل و نبهتني إلى أشياء أجهلها. و لكن العمارة و الخلافة تدخلان في العبادة. خصوصا أن العمارة بمعناها المادي لا يشملها النص بالأولوية فالعمارة الشرعية هي المدلول الأول للنص. أما الخلافة بحسب ترجمتك تكون عن غائب و الله لا يغيب و لا يخلف لأنه الأول و الآخر و الوارث فلا أحد يعمل عمل الله رجوت منك أن توضح للمستمع أننا مستخلفون بالأمانة التي حملناها في إمضاء شرع الله و لسنا أكفاء للقيام بعمل الله القدري. خشيت أن يسمع بعضهم كلامك فيظن أن السعي الحقيقي لا يكون للعبادة بل للإستخلاف لأنه أعلى منزلة فتطوق نفسه لبلوغ ما يشبه الربوبية ظنا منه أن العبودية شيء لا تتعلق به همم الخواص من المستخلفين. شيء آخر منزلة العبودية ليست منزلة محصورة في شكر ما مضى من النعم و لكنها تعم كمال المحبة و العظيم لله و الطمع في رحمته و الخوف من غضبه. ولذلك جاءت الآية بأسلوب الحصر نفي ثم إثبات. ما خلقت الجن و الإنس إلا ليعبدون. فالله إله و الخليفة المعمر عبد

    Where is the khilafah now? Muslim never talk about that. I see Muslims telling non Muslims that they're doomed for not following Islam yet they themselves don't have khilafah 😂
