Memphis in May , I’m a Aussie BbQ er !! Gotta get there one day and drink all your beer … and sample some of that BBQ .. using your original sauce at present !! Awesome video .. congratulations To all your team and helpers !!
Gonna trim this way for my next smoke up !! Thanks for the video . I really appreciate your hard work !! And your products that I’m purchasing in Australia vis BBQ s Galore !!
I wonder what Blues Hog's budget is for this competition? Even if they're full time restaurateurs, can that support the investment needed for Memphis in May? 12 Duroc shoulders, alone, costs $1000 (apparently Compart sells whole shoulders in packs of 2)
MiM is a different beast. You have your blind box then 3 judges come by to do on-site judging. Each of those judges will need 1 shoulder. Then if you're top 3 you do finals which is on-site with 4 judges so probably 2 more shoulders. That's at least 7 right there. Double it so you have some to choose from.
Zach is right. You just need a ton of meat for all the rounds of judging. Plus, it should be evident from the videos that we have no idea what we are doing! - Brad

12 shoulders needed? Is the quality of the meat that unreliable, or is it because there are way more factors that might influence the cooking proces?
