the trunk lid opener request button has quit working in my 2012 sentra. i figure it's the switch itself which is built into the trunk handle finisher. the rubber request buttons on the exterior door handles work fine which tells me the fob and the car are communicating. the part is no longer available from nissan but i may be able to get one if i really need one either thru nissan's locator or they might get one thru OR. first i need to rip out the trunk interior trim and check the actuator, switch, and associated connections to see if i can correct it. its too late to mess with it tonight (spaghetti water is starting to boil) so i'll take it apart in the AM. a lot of people think all nissans with intelligent key systems also have remote starting. not true- and the fob is different. thanks for the vid, but it doesn't pertain to my car as the programming procedure is different than the one in your vid.
