This is my first week playing HC and i started sorc, but died quite easy and ww barb was also quite squisy at the beginning, but necro is so nice. Woow this build is so relaxing to play! Thx for sharing it!
I was using Abhorrent decrepify for this video, but was thinking to switch to horrid decrepify for higher damage. With the reapers recuding cooldown it could be viable.
@@ThaMattcel maybe the mobs die too fast? If you choose abhorrent decrepify and keep up the curse, and stand in the middle of the pack, the cooldowns should refresh quite fast. I have no CDR from gear, and only two ultimate CDR tempers from rings.
Yes, keeping up blighted. Also it makes bone storm ticking more frequently, contributing to much higher barrier generation with the shielding storm aspect.
oh congrats man, I finally upgraded my gear, had a nice vacation and will be ready to close the high pits the other day :) but youre leaving me with less and less chance of winning
Most importantly, have fun! I just realized that I was distracted while I was writing a reply to your previous comment " trying to figure with them out why on dummies I have damage on ~2 times higher than on mobs same type" - part of the reason could be mob damage reduction. I don't know exactly how it scales, but it is related to the mob level. At lvl 100 (the dummy) they have about 76% flat damage reduction. Presumably lvl 200 mobs have significantly higher damage reduction.
There are a few flexible points in the paragon, that you can finetune for your build. For example, the character I am running has a total of 95.5% attack speed for minions, so I have to allocate a few points to get the 5% attack speed from the flesh eater board to hit 100%. Feel free to adapt the builds to your character.
not easy to find this build. thorns is counter-intuitive to "hardcore," as you'd think getting hit LESS is more effective. (but makes sense minions take hits, not you) feels like I was close, all along; lost many necros this season (100s and a few lower), eventually borrowing Rax's leveling guide, but even that is squishy. so necro sits at 100, unplayed, and i thought it was doomed to be cookie-cutter golem/shadow mage build. thanks for dropping this vid. too bad i found it so late in season.
@@kyweb-x2c Counter-intuitive at first glance, but as I looked deeper into it, it is actually the best necro build for HC. Item affixes are all about opportunity cost. As a thorns build doesn't use critical strikes, you free up affix options to have life on every piece of gear. And also, every defensive and untility temper directly increases your DPS or ehp. Moreover, when you build a tanky character, you can effectively utilize bone storm to generate barriers by standing in the middle of the pack. As you can see in the video, doing so gives you full barriers most of the time, that your hp rarely drops, which in combination with the bubble aspect, provides the best survivability for HC Necros.
@@kyweb-x2c in S5 you can have even easier times transitioning into thorns with spiked armor tempers on defensive slots, and an aspect that gives you thorns

Yeahhhhh 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 best necro. Grats man, you are my inspiration

Maybe I'm an idiot but what is reducing your Cooldowns so quickly? You're using Horrid Decrepify not Abhorrent, right?

I have the same problemm. The cooldown isnt going down so fast like in this video... No idea what i do wrong

How does the Ultimate Shadow aspect contribute to this build? Just to keep proccing Shadowblight to ensure the Blighted aspect is always up?

Congratulations
