Edit: Slick tyres option for LM has been updated. Original: After driving the LM extensively, I have reached the conclusion that regular F1 and LM are vastly different in terms of handling. In fact, LM is much more boring than standard F1.... I am just messing around - It is very stable and quick on the straights. No centre of mass physics trickery unlike regular F1 it seems. I will make a detailed review on it soon.
To be fair subscription gives 3x daily coin rewards and opportunity to purchase cars(with coin package) at lower rate, but the thing is, I already have most of the cars. There is no point in me and other old timers buying the subscription other than LM. And honestly not giving LM any interior modeling at all rather than using the same one as regular F1 would have made me less cross. Like that same interior on top of other restrictions just blew my lid off.
Overall, this update is an 7.7/10 The new cars are nice, especially the 787B’s eargasmic Rotary noise. The new Mustang handles pretty fine actually. A bit too “friendly” tho. Haven’t got the other two LeMans machines. Daily challenges and the two Forest Past layouts are definitely a keeper The monthly subscription tho is schtoopid I ain’t gon’ lie. I really, *really* hope Infinity Vector puts the F1 LM and the T-Spec R35 out of the paywall next update cuz I am not paying their respective packs Also regarding the F1 LM interior, apparently they will add the “proper interior” next update, according to the changelog document a user provided in the official AR Facebook group
I am glad they are adding the new interior because after seeing the body paint glitch, flat out blocked customisation menu that leaves us stuck to the sports tyres, and no brakes, I was really not in the mood to praise the LM at all. Honestly, if there was no interior for LM I would have been less cross about it... It handles "okay" but no fun at all. Every corner is slight understeer to power induced neutral steer or massive laptime-bleeding slide. There's no centre of mass thing like the old Porsches, the brakes are seemingly "realistic" versions that the devs elected to use for some reason(maybe it was actual Mclaren being anoraks), so it feels like I am rubbing a soap block against the brake disc... if there was actual weight transfer thing it would be fun, but no. It has to have downforce, since it is a bit slower than normal F1 in straight line, but thankfully they stiffened up the suspension so it does not sag and look silly. Regular F1 is tonnes more fun than LM. Yes the new Forest Paths are very interesting. I am exploring the hidden parts of the map as they left the pitlane door open.
11:48 They REALLY should do that with the added rotors upgrade for the RX-7/8s and any other rotary powered vehicle that has such an upgrade. The 3-Rotor 20B sound is just missing and would love to see the Mazda Eunos Cosmo to see light of this game to capture the sound of the 20B. They should also revamp the brap-brap-brap of the idle of the 2-Rotors of all the production rotaries. Overall, this update was mega. 9/10. If they had the license to La Sarthe and had Bentley and Audi to make the cut to this game with the Audi R18 and Bentley Speed 8 with more LeMans cars like the Nissan R92CP and Audi R8 Race Car, I'd rate this 10/10. One person can dream this happening.
I agree. I am not knowledgeable on the rotary engines but the sound difference makes a world of difference in terms of sensation and thrill? 100% agree. And the updates quality itself was 9/10 no doubt. It was just in the way I did not expect. Now I would rather have small and reliably working tracks like Gunsai or Maze, but looking at their try at Le Mans race cars has me thinking they do have some ambition or some plan in their mind to make La Sarthe happen. I just hope they make it light like Nurburgring and not like Fuji Speedway. All the details are too heavy, lag is way more severe there.
@@pricklypear300 I can agree with you're saying, that we should have smaller and reliably working tracks. Gunsai or Maze are tracks I hadn't heard of... so enlighten me on those tracks. La Sarthe and Nurburgring are tracks familiar to me as I'm a Gran Turismo fan growing up with my sister playing the series as I got older and older. Anyway, I can really see their ambitions of having the license to La Sarthe into the future. Hopefully, it doesn't lag on my mid-performance range Samsung A52 5G when that happens.
Maze circuit is officially "Japan Seaside Circuit". It is the track you will see in "Supra vs NSX-R" video on my channel or 1:15 and 18:30 of this video(th-cam.com/video/0GzLRjLlozU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=EN2xb9UwbYxEup4g) the second timestamp is the famous drift vs grip lesson. Gunsai is officially Gunma Cycle Sports Centre. Gunma Saikuru -> Gunsai(prounounced like 'goon' but less deeper and snappier). It is essentially a closed circuit touge course, originally meant for cycling but used for drifting and time attacks for cars as well. Lots of twists and turns on a narrow road. It looks like this: th-cam.com/video/tqiZL1tBn2c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RQdcyMvI6BikoaS2 Now I imagine making La Sarthe will be like current AR official but like 100 times larger and challenging because you have to think about render distance due to the sheer size. Remember, it is about as big as the Nurburgring in terms of the land it covers. And also present are the landmarks, the tourist areas, pitlanes, houses, trackside gadgets like light panels for yellow red and green, the lot. And you can't hide these details behind hills like Nurburgring because it's just flat all around. The trees might help, but it would be a nightmare. And this is for mobile, they can't throw stuff at the rendered circuit and expect it to stick like PC with much more capability. I get terrified even thinking about working on it.
Greta video Devs really did themselfs with puting two cars behind a paywall lol. Also any plan on reviewing the two new track layouts for forest path, and/or comparing it to your old video of you looking at thr unfinished parts of it?
I might do that actually. Comparing how the lightings have changed, how it looks different than the old Forest Path etc. The thing is, I am very spontaneous and lazy. And I think the subscriptions might work on the new players better than old geezers like me who has all the cars and therefore gets no real benefits from discounted price and deals, its just that that Mclaren F1 LM was such a letdown.
unfortunately the devs probably arent rich, so theres a paywall in front of the T-Spec and the LM. other than that it think this update is pretty good, the new mustang is a bit slippery tho under hard acceleration corner exits. the new forest path is really cool too. great video btw!
Thanks! :))) I am aware of how devs are operating on limited numbers both in terms of budget and number of people working on it. Hence the sheer number of gacha import cars i suppose. The mustang is so elegant, its like its there for the people against the wave of imports. I love Ford so much

my realistic vs ARs c9? seen a cheese ar run getting similar times to my failed attempt, we can do the 787b too but id need to purchase and get a setup for it first
Hi! :) Did you do C9 on GT7 or GTSport? I think I saw a 956 one before... if you have I would love to watch it. And the 787b also. And oh.. AR's C9 is a no joke. I thought it would be easy to drive based on Forest Path lap, but on the Ring I got my butt kicked. I tried to beat Albon(not really. Super GT)'s lap on Lewis Ham challenge but so far I have failed, but only by a couple of seconds. It is quite a handful. Worse than 86 RS V2 now.
@@pricklypear300 i did my run on gt7, yea these grp c car are genuinely some scary stuff, and I love them for that, i built both so ill hotlap the nords and post em soon
787B is a class. they did it good enough though for me, the sound is incredible. Rotary engine sounds should've been updated bc in Idle i couldn't hear anything bruh. i got the C9 in one ticket lmao it is such a beast, it's the car that did 400km/h in the Mulsanne straight 1989 24heures du Mans qualifying. btw it did get 382km/h half way through Döttinger hohe straight in Nürburgring, with some more tuning it can go up to 400km/h easily, didn't even need to make it reverse. they did the F1 LM bad. welp, the devs needed money anyway innit?
Update takes time and effort. Assoluto Racing dev team is around ten or so people, and making a whole circuit would take a monstrous amount of effort not to mention licensing issues. Give them some time)
First impression without trying to find any official notes, is that the steering is less sensitive, and the car doesn't try to rotate as much. It slides less. It feels more stable than before. And in interior POV the Porsche sunblock sticker on top of the windscreen has been removed. So the visibility is "improved" but I didn't have any problem seeing through it, and if people couldn't see, they could just adjust the FOV setups so I don't really get why they removed that. On the exterior it still has the sticker attached so it feels kinda weird.
In addition to that, the model has been slightly changed. The most notable change is that it now has centre exit exhaust pipes above the diffuser instead of the side exit exhaust
I spent 26 tickets and 3000 coins. Got nothing on tickets, and got really lucky on the coin 7x pulls. Thankfully I had more than 2000 coins saved and did not have to spend much. Its all about luck it seems(
Yes it is recycled way too often at this point. My pic for C9 would have been pre-sound update Dodge Hellcat V8 soundbit mixed with the ford GT40 sound with idling. I think it would work brilliantly with some reverb effect added to it, just like 787b.
I'm so disappointed that the McLaren F1 LM is not only a direct copy of the normal f1 but with no customization and some trim pieces, but that it is locked behind a price which most people (including me) aren't even willing to pay for. It sucks that this game is probably now going to continue doing this in future updates.
Yeah like I bought it because I am a long time patron of this game and had to review that one car... but I can't blame people for not wanting to pay monthly despite other benefits like 3x coins etc. And the LM was such a letdown. I would have been less cross if there wasn't an interior at all. On top of other restrictions, and a body paint glitch(all cars turn white) caused by it, the same interior just blew my lid off :(
