Congrats! Well done. I don't care about steering assist either. In real life cars steering moves for you to some extent to straighten you out in oversteer situations... I just use no assist because it's more familiar to me in this game.

200 tokens? Ah you mean the token special Roadster. Yes, sort of. If you really like the slidey and lively driving characteristic of the normal dealership Roadster, the token one still has that slidey feel left but with more grip and battle capabilities. It's not going to give you the upper hand every time you meet an actual player opponent but if you like fun, then it is. What other token car options do you have left?

@@pricklypear300 The TRD 3000GT, the 5 Turbo 3E and the GT-R (R35) '17. From last time I listed my collection some updates ago, I'm now up to 93 cars. Increasing my car list by over 50%. All the credits are now almost gone with over 1 million in upgrades, I did get a record of 1.51M credits as my all time high. Though in order to get all 1.5 million back, I'd have to spend over 170 laps on the Nordschleife or about 2/3 of the day to over an entire day (Approx. 16-28 hours) earning them all back.

@@pricklypear300 The TRD 3000GT, the Renault 5 Turbo 3E and the 2017 Nissan GT-R. From 5 months ago, I had 61 cars which now has increased to 93. Thanks to all the upgrades, I'm now 1.5 million off from what I had.

Including the 200 token Eunos (Which I haven't bought yet) would be 94 cars. The TRD 3000GT and the Renault 5 Turbo 3E is 600 tokens, while the 2017 GT-R is 700.

@@pricklypear300 The ND is the thing similar that I have to the Eunos, for the TRD 3000GT (I have the Drag Supra A70, the D-Spec Supra A80, J's Supra A80, the Supra A90 and the LB Supra A90), for the 2017 GT-R (I have the older 2007 and the newer 2024 T-Spec.) What do you think?

Yes it is quite alright now. It feels like there is "more room for sliding" unlike previous attesa where you had to walk a tightrope between immediate spinning out and severe understeer. And it grips on exit.

Aye the old ATTESA RB26s were notoriously awkward and difficult. I... don't know how people drifted those weirdos with like 500-600hp ones. I also need to test the R33... its V-Spec and it actually has real life drifting test footage done by Tsuchiya Keiichi himself. Edit: he actually liked the V-Spec but it turns out the car Nissan gave him to test was different than the commercial version. Also very awkward.

They seem to be just slightly better version of 2024 R35... tested on Waldorf, the NISMO SE did like 1.5 second quicker unmodified. Did you get the Nismos now?

@@pricklypear300 I now got a Nismo after doing the Unmodified Series - Bonus Mode for F/D Classes as well as A/S/S+/X Classes by collecting rewards and coins. The car being the Nismo R390 and is my 100th car in my collection. I never thought to see the day I have 100 cars, but it is satisfying to see a race car take that special milestone slot I've made my hard efforts and rewards for.

Yes 86 is made to be fun like, the drift video I put in that Initial D sh..posting had nothing, just tyre changes and a little more power like 160? It drifts like that. It's fun :D And you mean it can be stanced more? I always didn't like how Trueno looked when it was lowered. Not as cool as the real cars somehow. Wonder if its different on Levin🤔 And aye GT-Rs are not bad. Even GT3 feels like it was made to be a littlebit funky than other ones. Maybe my personal impressions.

@@pricklypear300 Yeah, the Levin can actually be lowered to make that stanced look, while the Trueno is still quite raised (also for mine, I just put a race exhaust and suspension, and sport brakes and transmission)

@@pricklypear300 EVs need their own unique upgrades like "transformer" or something instead of turbo for more power and motor for less increased power but more RPM (golly)

​​​@@BotulinSpikedMarzipan EVs are just not interesting at all. At least in real life they can provide you with G Force to give you excitement... but in games, they are just eughh. Yeah. Addtional oomf could help. I know the hybrid LMP car does not have electric extra power in the game, and the Highspeed Etoile car has fictinal hybrid that makes it go 500kph. The game has none of those extra power that makes them interesting.

It is... an addiction. Last month I said I was disappointed by Initial D due to reasons but I know why they drive and I get it. This particular one was two hours drive from where I lived, so I only visited like three times. But I did 4-5 runs each time. Several other spots around that area but like yours they were pretry short so it wasn't worth visiting them by themselves? I seldom go to toges these days because I am scared(lul) for my life and I have to save money. I used to visit different spots once every other month or three to four months, and then once or twice a month when I started living away from me parents. There is a really sketchy but beautiful spot right next to where my parents live, I used to live there too. It's mini Irohazaka as far as I'm concerned, but I didn't want to become "famous" for being a local nuisance on that road, you know, people live around it and very much use that road, so I didn't go bonkers on it. I drove there at nights, early mornings like 4-5ams, usually nights because temples wake up early. I drove once on a rainy night. It was... something. I really need to go to proper circuits but they are quite far away like, 10 hours drive back and forth, and will very likely destroy my current car's brakes and tyres and overheat it within 10-15 laps... ...Well, if you really want to... (it can never ever be safe even if you knew when there is - almost - no traffic and if you strictly stayed in your lane by mustard rules, some cars coming your way will cross the lines because they can't drive, and if you crashed you will be alone and far from emergency services. And you will be liable for driving recklessly... just for fyi) ...Do reconnaissance runs like they do on rallies, pick a time when there are least traffic, I don't know about your place but weekends are bad because you will find cyclists in these spots... and do not push too much etc. Safety first. I will talk about the reality of driving in 'mexico' when I get around to it.

Well, glad you asked! Good question. First, it is the internet. Someone will make stuff like these. People are very thursty creatures. Second, it feels like it's slightly different than your run of the mill rule 34 because these fiction writers tend to want more backstory and emotional connection between the characters, the hint for them being, I assume: 'Keisuke goes out of his way to meet Takumi in the dark of night to encourage Takumi to battle the R32 driver(i forgot his name, sorry) even though Takumi gave Keisuke a humiliating defeat. He also assures Takumi he is good enough to be a racer. Why would he do that' The fact that men irl don't tend to show these rather complex emotions to anybody, let alone their enemies, encourages some people to imagine some alternative story where different things can happen without consequences. Speaking of consequences: third, people who create and consume these fictions, or so called "BL"s. It is mostly cis and heterosexual women and sometimes gay people whose romantic activities inherently come with higher risks and potential consequences than say, heterosexual cis men. Why is that? Lots of women are scared of men due to traumas they experienced and, wants to somewhat detach themselves from the fictions they read. One of their solutions is to swap the role of traditional men and women with two men, so they don't have to deal with seeing a woman like them in a fictional relationship which... they know is fake and will only bring about worse memories. I see it as a sort of escapism. As for the gay(men) people or sometimes NBs, they obviously have difficult time finding their love due to much of society hating the gays, so they can find some escape through these fictions... but... they(gay men) either seem to love these sorts of fictions or hate hate hate them. People who love them, they can see their favourite characters being secretly gay like themselves so there's that... But for people who hate them, they see it as just women being cruel to them without actually accepting them in real life. This is inevitably due to the characters being written by heterosexual women often times, as there can be lots of oversexualising and dehumanising going on, as if the characters are being treated like toys. Women authors and consumers of BL often deny this, but some gay people do take offense and think these women are living in fantasy world and stuff. I am not here to judge any of them, its something that's just happening, and has been going on for millennia. Like the whole Greek mythology is a huge character play fiction writings and all... homosexual fiction were written featuring even Napoleon. So, that's the TED talk.

I should mention that I edited it like that haha it's a fake news The driver is actually Ohi Takashi(大井貴之) and he was getting grip driving advice from "Gan-san" Kurosawa Motoharu(黒澤 元治, man in sunglasses) after he showcased the drift run in the video. This is one of the several times Best MOTORing magazine compared the speed and efficiency of drift driving technique with the traditional grip driving technique to see which was the fastest. I will use this video as a reference point to potentially do a review of Initial D in the future.

As I always say, some of the best players I've seen use button and sliders. The devs made the time limit a bit tight for this so scrubbing off the first two seconds wouldn't be much of an issue as dealing with the last one. Use all the road as much as you can, brake in aggressively since the car will never oversteer. I don't think I used the ABS OFF on this but ABS OFF is certainly the quicker way to go. Don't try and rotate or drift too much on exit, although the car will grip very well regardless. Another tip that was helpful for me when I was trying to play competitive was that... try to take corners like you are connecting the straight lines. Like, focus on getting into straight line as quick as you can instead of focusing on the corners themselves. Its a both mental thing and practical tip.

@@pricklypear300 Counterintuitively, the method worked for shifting into first gear for me to keep speed into the corners with shifting to power out into second.

Tsuchiya san has his own youtube channel, "Drift King Television", so maybe if we ask there he will try doing that. But... he really is not very good at racing games. There's another video where he repeatedly crashes the ARTA NSX Super GT car in Gran Turismo Sport. His driving skill comes from the feel he gets from the physical car itself I reckon... Like, his steering inputs are very sudden and snappy which goes against our common wisdom of "gently introducing the car into corners". It means the real cars are actually quite compliant when they are hooned about, but also that DK uses his inner G metre to predict how the car will move and test the car's limits from the start. He's from a different era.

Also you will have learned a rough idea of how to handle a very oversteery car, even if it's on screen. Of course, with the steering assist on, that wouldn't be the case.

It's pretty simple but I don't think what I have for setup is what you'd aspire. I only have 165 in the video with no suspension tune. Takumi allegedly have 150 with racing suspension and rally type short gear ratio. What passes for "winning setups" in AR gets 210 or more...

Oh my god thank you so much for reminding me of this video ;) No, it is not the same because some Porsche brand cars have been updated to behave much like the real cars in the video Me testing the Ruf (th-cam.com/video/SL5yXI6c5y4/w-d-xo.html) but... I feel things are much more polarised. The updated Porsche "centre of mass physics" feels like it can only oversteer? It does grip when you power out but it doesn't really grip that much so I'm always sliding. You know Porsches are known for the front becoming light and understeery when you accelerate, and to replicate that you have to fit grippier tyres in the back. Then it feels just right. As for the most other FR cars, yes they remain more or less understeery on braking. Some FRs have been updated to have the acceleration and performance of irl cars, for example S2000 feels like it has that notorious snap oversteer feel but you still have to loosen the rear up to get that perilous sensation. But still, if you do that the cars oversteer everywhere basically. I see that Gan San pfp you have. Iconic❤

In all seriousness I have to watch all of it obviously, every racing enthusiasts say that. It will have something of substance for sure. But Wangan Midnight, expressway version of IniD for me was a bit of a bore... And I'm just constantly gobsmacked that straight blokes made this scene... gave this a "good to go" sign... and millions of blokes watched as they are forced the perspective of a father inspecting his own daughter's legs in the passenger seat like she's his escort... but somehow nobody seemed to raise eyebrows or say "this is an issue"... it felt like a punch in the face. You folks can do this... and get away with it... hmm.
