Only a supremely talented artist can paint the sky in the way that you have done it - it showcases creativity, a deep understanding of colours and an amazing command over the brush. Excellent 👌👌👌
Thank you Shelley! It is John Pike Watercolor Palette (standard). I got it from Jackson's Art. But if you just Google it I'm sure there will be a few more options.
Super demonstration of painting a (convincing) sky in layers. I learned a lot. Thank you. I couldn’t quite tell how damp the paper was when you started using the horizontal brush strokes of purple to lay in the cloud bottoms. I would guess the paper was fairly damp and h the he paint was just thick enough to avoid back runs. Is that correct or do I misunderstand the technique? Thanks again for a well executed demo.
Thank you. Yes, your absolutely right! The paper was damp , but not fullywet, and the pigment was thickend cream consistency. If you have any troubles, this lesson will be posted this weekend on my Patreon with detailed explanation how to achieve it. If you wish to join, please wait till the first day of next month, as it charges you as you join and again on the 1st of the months.

😍😍😍💖
Beautiful sky and painting, which earthy color do you use on the clouds?
Thank you! Usually Yellow or Gold Ochre
Gorgeous sky! What mop brush are you using ?
I'm using Escoda Aquario Gold #18 and #14. I like the metal frame/holder and it's very fine point.
@@nvfineartstudio7296 is it natural hair?
Yes, it's squirrel.
Sorry I hit the down thumb button by mistake :(. Excellent video and thumbs up!
Thanks Elizabeth! And don't worry about the thumb, it's ok.
