Hi Friends, today I am painting an Australian seaside landscape. I am focus dramatic sky and with a glimps of sunshine and rain all at once. The most important and difficult part here is the variation of edges. As always, this is achieved by varying your techiniques: wet on wet, dry on wet and dry brush.
    I am using:
Saunders Waterford watercolor paper 300GSM, rough
Natural Squerrel Brushes - Escoda Aquario #18 and #14
    For details Escoda Perla #10
Paints: Winsor and Newton, Daniel Smith and Holbein
    Please enjoy!

How does your paint not cauliflower when your adding more paint to semi dry paint? Every time I try to do this it pushes pigment and ruins my painting.

Hi Cris, experience I suppose, but I have a video "how to simplify wet on wet", th-cam.com/video/qrLTeBxX7aU/w-d-xo.html
I will also have a course for beginners available in a couple of months, that will include techniques like wet on wet, flat wash, graded wash, also: composition, values, colour harmony, etc if you are interested keep an eye on my announcements.

In your patreon, do you say what colors you’re using as you go?

Yes, I do and I write it on the screen as well along with the mixture darkness (tonal vale) and consistency (how much water vs paint)

There’s so much to applaud here that I don’t know how to convey it. I really would have liked to see it and hear you in real time. Perhaps you could do a voice over with your thoughts.
I wonder if you would post a good, high-resolution photo of this painting so that we could see the details.
This is great watercolor. It doesn’t bother with realism, and so you convey the emotions of being there on such a wonderful day. Super.

Thank you very much! This is the biggest goal of art, not to tell what to feel but give an opportunity to feel...🙏I'm glad this work does this. In regards to full time videos, most of the recent ones are on patreon and I explain everything very thoughtfully. The feedback I received " I learned from your 3 videos more than in 3 years from other demos on Patreon". I was very excited about it. But unfortunately, this particular one was not meant to go there...but I promise it's not the last one I post. Thank you again for your kind words!
