Don't let them grind you down BJ you do what you do its your channel I enjoy all the content on old Japanese bikes if people aren't happy then they shouldn't watch or give negative comments
The most surprising thing about that bike is it still having the original exhausts on a chopper , that’s just weird! Totally agree with not changing it, it’s a part of motorcycling history, hardly any of these survive without being updated and this one is like a time capsule 👍
100% I'm very tempted to change the exhaust as I have a common chopper-esq setup that would look at home but to respect the original build I will keep these on it.
Do what you like man....i know how it is....you get 100 supportive comments yet its hard to ignore one or two bad ones. Youre GOOD at this...do what you feel....dont let anyone dictate what you do
Regarding the negative comments. A slight corruption of a quote from John Lydgate. "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time." You keep right on doing what you enjoy most - that's what's important.
Love these build videos! Can't wait to see how this chopper comes along. As for the fuel disposal, our city yard will take almost anything automotive/household chemical related. Where AutoZone or O-Reilley would not take old anti-freeze my yard would. So try that route! BTW, you were so super cool helping out Motorcycle Rewind get his GPZ 1100 back on the road during his trip. Awesome!!!
I definitely take all my oil to oreillys but very much need to get rid of coolant too. Eric is awesome and I was happy to help him out as he is an inspiration!
Hello BJ I’ve been waiting on your next video and I can’t tell you how pleased I was to see what you’ve found. It’s like time travelling to my youth! Undoubtedly untouched, don’t change a thing BJ, you’ll never find another. I was an apprentice painter, in the U.K., at the time this bike was painted. I completed a bike tank, CB125 S in around 79 in Spendrift which is the same finish. Recently, I found this old tank on a shelf in my garage and brought it down and on a wet Sunday buffed up this old tank and I have it hanging in my bike shed as my own type of art! It looks cool, chips, scrapes and all. If I can figure a way to post you a photograph I will. Cheers BJ my friend thank you for making my day, regards Kevin.
Don’t let the negativity get to you. Some people have a natural ability to teach and you are one of those people. Looking forward to more on this bike. TY
Hey BJ, "Joe" o remember growing up collecting gum cards, Comic Books, models, drag racing and "RAT FINKS" You need to find and build a "Rat Fink" Honda...........
I love that you are giving the chopper a chance to keep telling its story! That exhaust looks so cool and I can’t wait to see it running! Glad we are on the journey as you keep doing what you are passionate about and what makes you happy!
I’m just glad to see you back on another CB 750. I just picked a 74 k4 up two weekends ago and I’m working through it. I have learned a lot through your videos especially the blue 75 that you did. Awesome job with that. I’m looking forward to see what you do with this one. Hope to have mine running and driving this spring.
Im now 64 but have been building/restoring/modifying motorcycles since I was 9 years old. My current project is a 78 cbx1000. I love watching what you do. They are bikes I grew up with. It’s great that you love the old stuff. Don’t let the nay sayers control what you do. What people say about you is a reflection of them - not you. Do what you love and the people who share your passion will follow.
Thank you for "preserving" the bike and its story. I have a '72 CB750 that was a '74 chopper build. I cleaned it and tuned it up and that's all. I learn a lot from your videos.

Very good video, and very insightful comments on the bike, and its previous owner. I'm looking forward to see the rest of the story! Regards from Canada 🇨🇦
It was nice seeing the old shop/garage one last time. I've said it before, but the amount of work you got done in such a little space has inspired me over the years. I've watched your channel to try and be more focused and organized in my 2.5 car garage because it gets into a shameful mess sometimes lol. Great video as always and keep up the awesome content 👍
you did good on that one...i had its cousin, out in Colorado, same pipes, extended fork tubes,16 inch wheel...swapped all that out for stock stuff, found some original bodywork, gave it the once over, gotta love the sound of the original pipes. Good luck!

I would love to pick up an old japanese motorbike as a project but, here in the UK , people are asking really stupid money for bikes that are totally s***. I have walked away from so many old bikes that the owners valued at prices far in excess of what it would cost to get them roadworthy again. They can keep them till they rust away as far as I am concerned. It would be great if I could find just one seller who wants to pass on a bike that would be cherished and used after fixing up. Looking forward to seeing how you progress with the CB750 chopper.
Congratulations Mate on 99k subs . Almost there. Well deserved. Great content. I don't know why people have to comment negative stuff, sorry that's been a hindrance for you.
Picture a GT550 Suzuki with a 10" over front end and a sissy bar. I got the stock tubes and cables with it so I put it back to stock and sold the tubes to a (You guessed it) a CB750 rider I worked with, He took that thing everywhere. Pulled a small hand made trailer w\camper built in and painted to match. That was in 1976. Redoing the wires was a mess because whoever extended the loom cut them way too close to the connector and proceeded to wire it in one color. I used twist ties w\colors written on them with a pen to finally get it done.(After blowing the fuse 20 or so times.)Wonder how much he wanted for the 750F? Great find. Hope you have fun with it!
Wow! The new shop space looks pretty awesome! Cool looking bike too. Unlike most people, I actually liked the look of the Norton High Rider. I can see some similarities in the stance here.
Had a '73 12 over without changing the rake. Same Z Bars. Couldn't turn that thing on a football field. Got it for a Marantz MCR425 stereo and road it home. Almost fell over twice because of the seat height. Had an eagle ghosted on a white tank. Wrecked that bike 11 times in 3yrs. Never broke a bone. Haven't had but one bike wreck since I got rid of that bike and 6 bikes later. lol

Use the old fuel to burn your downed branches, sticks and leaves or any wood then start a fire. Buy some wood to burn in a fireplace, set it up in a 50 gallon burn barrel, burn the wood use the old fuel.
Man, that thing is rad! Congrats and glad you will keep it as is! What a cool piece of history! Btw, you should just leave that one wasp nest up on the top tube. LOL
When you pop off the petcock bowl and the gas goes everywhere made me laugh out loud haha. Dude that reaction was priceless. Soak some chem-dip into tank let sit couple of hours then slosh around then empty into bucket. Might need to do several flushes. Filter the chem-dip with an old T-shirt. Throw clean rag in tank and blast around with air blower to pick up residue several times. Watch you eyes and skin, that stuff burns. If it's real dirty, throw a hand full of small brass nuts in the tank and lightly slosh around. Greetings from south Texas
i ended up getting a chopper sohc CB750 too, in pretty bad shape. Absolutely not my style, but it was the only way I could afford one, stock ones are really pricey here in the UK! I have returned mine to mostly stock, just with an aftermarket 4 into 1 pipe because the OEM replicas are waaay too much to justify for me. Not a restoration, I just got it into good running order to enjoy :) Good for you keeping yours stock though, I think it makes the most sense given you already have more standard ones available to you
Almost looked like my 72 750, when I graduated high school stopped by the Honda dealer and along with financing $950 rode off to home. When I got home first words out of my mothers mouth "Where in the hell did you get that"?. After her first ride she never said anything but" be carefull".
Had a CB 750 cafe race back in '76...great bike, faster than it needed to be! I'll enjoy watching you do this one. Congrats, too, on your new space...I sneaked a peak with those 8 bikes you picked up. As for the negative comments, here's the rule I live by: "If them b!tche$ ain't payin' yo' bills, then you pay them b!tche$ no mind." That's why computers have delete keys!
One sissy bar doesn't make your bike a chopper.
How about if I add some PBR stickers and one that says "if you can read this the b$@#&h fell off" will it be a chopper then?
Maybe a sissy bar doesn't make it a chopper but an altered frame i.e. chopped, kind of does?!
That's a total chopper by complete definition chopped an modded parts and a sweet bike indeed

Use the old fuel to burn your downed branches, sticks and leaves or any wood then start a fire. Buy some wood to burn in a fireplace, set it up in a 50 gallon burn barrel, burn the wood use the old fuel.
Looks like that tank paint will buff out and look awesome pal! Keep it period correct sir!
Thats the plan!
Man, that thing is rad! Congrats and glad you will keep it as is! What a cool piece of history! Btw, you should just leave that one wasp nest up on the top tube. LOL
That dang nest was on there good! There could be one hiding still lol
When you pop off the petcock bowl and the gas goes everywhere made me laugh out loud haha. Dude that reaction was priceless. And that reaction happens to me so much and I’m sure all of us who tinker or build.
Anyways, keep up the great work and we want you to make the content you love and know the audience loves so keep pushing and doing what you and your gut feel are best.
Thanks man!

A Chopper still has stock pipes with the baffles still in it Yeah Rite !!
So many rules to this counter culture!!
I always learn something new by watching your videos. Thanks for sharing =)
Glad to hear that!
Kicking it old school in the garage!
#oldschoolalwayscool 😎
Soak some chem-dip into tank let sit couple of hours then slosh around then empty into bucket. Might need to do several flushes. Filter the chem-dip with an old T-shirt. Throw clean rag in tank and blast around with air blower to pick up residue several times. Watch you eyes and skin, that stuff burns. If it's real dirty, throw a hand full of small brass nuts in the tank and lightly slosh around. Greetings from south Texas
I will use some drywall screws to break everything up and then electrolysis to eliminate the rust! My specialty 😎
i ended up getting a chopper sohc CB750 too, in pretty bad shape.
Haha awesome!
Watched a few of your videos, enjoyed em, keep up the great work, well appreciated 👍. Another subscriber here now.

A fellow Missourian! Great video! Maybe see you on the road sometime.
🤘🤘 glad you enjoyed! Maybe that will happen!
Hahaha thank ya! This was a cool video as it was the last one at the old space.
Great video as always. Greeting from down under!!
Thanks Chris!
