- I bought ANOTHER Honda CB750 but this time it's not for me! You have likely seen Seth in a few of my videos as he helps me out a bunch in the shop. Well this bike is for him as we have been on the hunt for a great CB750 to be a rider this season. This bike fits the bill.
I found it listed on marketplace and somehow was able to buy it purely due to lucky timing. In this video I show the details of the bike and let Seth take it from there showing what he did to bring it back to life. In the next video we will get it fired up!.

This was a ton of fun! Thanks, everyone, for the support. And thanks to BJ in particular for being an awesome mentor and the ultimate CB750 nerd 🤓.
Hey this is the man himself!! Check out some of these bets on Kickstart numbers!
@@BrickHouseBuilds I'm seeing a common pattern here supporting the chopper winning 🤔
I was thinking, holy crap, CB750 is the new CX500.! And BJ got ANOTHER one, then realized oh, it’s Seth’s.
I’ve been wanting to join the kickstart club. Had a little 49cc trash scooter that had to be kick started. I got rid of it before it wrecked me. I think one of the forks were empty, so when applying brakes up front it would jerk to that side. Went to one coworker, then another, then heard it was crashed on a test drive and the guy broke something.
Good to see Seth overcoming Previous users, uhh “handiwork” and getting it all straightened out.
Has Seth named it yet?
Seth: 6 kicks
BJ on Bedazzled: 7.5
Well done Seth on the bike, repairs and the video. You have a good coach.
🤘🤘
At the rate you're picking up bikes, the next meet & greet is gonna have to be a surprise intervention 😄
Im here for it lol
Keep the new guy around, he did a good job.
Thats the plan!
I agree. Gives you a chance to diversify. Work on other bikes or the other channel.
at least the seat on this one not torn , that should save a lot of comments lol , cheerz from new zealand
😂😂 If you know you know!
I'm always game for more CB750 content. I liked Seth's recap on what's been done so far. I picked up a clean, running riding 1975 CB750 on Ebay about 5 years ago. It's a mild resto mod that doesn't have the stock four into four pipes or stock paint, but it's a great looking bike and it's been a bulletproof daily rider.
Awesome!
Hey, hey, another CB 750 project, love it. Going to be fun following the build.
It should just require the standard stuff so it will be on the road quickly
SETHHOUSE BUILDS!! LETS GO!
🤘🤘
Go Seth good luck with the 750.😎
🤘🤘
Great episode. Awesome job Seth! Great to see you again! Haha
🤘🤘
Nice...👍.
Nice 750, Black was not a stock color in 1972.
They do look really good in black though
"I have a crippling CB750 addiction"
TH-cam Comments "Well........that maybe so, but we're not going to help you with that"
🤣🤣 I keep asking for an intervention so I feel ya
Oh yeah, don’t put side covers on the floor!!!!😂
Sad
Way to go Seth! You and BJ make a good team!
Here’s my bet:
Seth: 6
BJ: 5
I like your thinking! 😉
This was fun - love the collaborative effort!! Cant wait to hear those things start up! Sorry Seth - I'm going to go with BJ - but increased kicks on both. BJ 5 - Seth 7 ;) Good job guys!
3 and 4 kicks is a good goal but unlikely so I like your thinking! It was fun to have him film and take a step back for a different perspective
Buy a crikcut and you can make your own gaskets
I agree with Seth, 4 kicks for your bike and three for his on the start-up video. Now which is going to sound better???? I reckon Seth's will. :)
Well I can confirm that Seth's sounds much better but...you will have to stay tuned for kicks!
Good job Seth!
🤘🤘
This is great stuff! Looking to the first start-ups on both bikes. My 1973 project is completely original and virtually the same as Seth's 72. I believe the dash light assembly is correct as it sits now. They never made a black CB750 back then.
Glad you enjoyed! Yeah I guess the top triple is correct and I had my year cutoff wrong.
Nice grab guys! Seth, I bet you'll be riding it in the snow. Oh, and save some 750s for the rest of us😉
I'm gonna get some skis for putting my feet down 😅
I appreciated Seth's takes on the issues that the 750 had. I'm sure he will be a added asset. Now get down to Oklahoma and help me work on my 71 CL350. Peace
He's a great asset for sure
Crazy seeing bikes I owned when they were new. This channel sure plays with the memories.
Hopefully it brings some good ones!
Late production 72 would probably make it a k3 in which case top triple is correct.
I stand corrected then. Still learning all the small changes
I bought back on 1989 a 1968 CB750K , for 300 dollars ! Was a Black Beast which i took to New Orleans in just 3 and half days on the I10 ! Wished i had kept it and shipped over when I left to come back to Britain ! But sold it for a profit of 50 bucks to some New Orleans cop that noticed immediately the smell of marijuana in my Old School red Bell Full face helmet which i threw in to help seal the deal !
I'd buy several just to have, if I could. That engine is very mechanical sounding, and... with the right 4 into 1 pipe... sounds like beautiful screaming... something or others. Now that you have so many, don't be afraid to rev the sh*t out of them to redline... that's where the real singing is. I had one, beat the crap out of it. They can take it.
Have had any dealings with or know a good source for 1975 Suzuki GT 750 parts.
So, what would you do about getting this bike on the road without a title?
I dont until it has a title. We are working on that part as we are in contact with the right person
This is unimportant!, don’t read it unless you are very bored, or alternatively you want to be very bored!
I always wondered why Americans pronounce the word Solder as “Sarder”, I just found out!
As with many of these differences between American English and how you say it in the UK, it's actually a side-effect of the US sticking with an older pronunciation.
"Solder" is a modern spelling of the Middle English "souder", which derives from the Old French "soudeur", which itself comes from the Latin "solidare". In the 15th century there was a movement to re-latinize the spelling of words, and the "l" got added back in to the spelling, although the pronunciation didn't change to include the "l" until sometime later.
As an Australian I always wondered why Americans pronounced it as such.
reminds me of the time we painted a CB 750 tank black for a short timer in the police shed at Camp Pendelton CA like '74? 5? that was a story.
O’Fallon Missouri!!???? I thought you guys were in like North Carolina!
Missouri indeed lol
Hey so I googled you guys, and It’s a small world! I’m born and raised in St. Charles myself. My grandpa is from Louisiana Mo so I used to get out that way a lot back in the day. I should have known you guys were Missourians cause I liked you from the start. Good luck with the build!
@4800BMO even smaller world, I lived in Bowling Green and that's where the shop started! You will 100% appreciate this video:
th-cam.com/video/ZhmVf4lzN0o/w-d-xo.html
I like all the videos love the bikes and I hope to buy one from you one day I'm crazy about the cb750
Well done seth got a lovely bike there can't wait for more updates love your show sorry if I have spelt your name incorrectly.
I thoroughly enjoy your videos. I personally owned a 1972 Honda CB 750. It was a burnt orange and black colour. Rode may miles on the 750. Loved the sound of it. I wish I had kept it but you know how that goes. If we knew then what we know now. I must have gone through a gallon of polish on my 750. It looked and ran like new. I loved my Honda's and Yamahas. I Still have a 1200 Honda Aspencade goldwing. I bought it with 31000 kms. It also looks and runs like new. I am 72 years old so I spend as much time polishing and cleaning the Goldwing as riding it. I change the timing belts every 3 years, crazy I know but old guys need fun too. Keep up the great videos. Thank you very much.
Nothing wrong with goldwings! Keep it polished and enjoy it 🤘
A Honda CB750 is never too much !!
I think the 72 750K was called Bryer Brown.
Looks like its going to be another great bike! Question: What is the best way to de black an engine? I am guessing the best is to remove the whole engine? Thank you.
Hi Sabrina !
Seth's a cool dude, like his work here.
Brother! I bought a 1972 CB750 and in no small part because of the enthusiasm your videos generated for me ! The cold compression was 155-160psi. I overpaid a little bit but it is complete and I can't wait to bring this thing back to the best running condition I can. Thanks in advance for all the help your videos will be for me. I'm so freaking pumped! lol
Sorry not sorry! It will be a great bike I'm sure with many smiles ahead
Any idea who makes that exhaust? I have the same one on my CB750
I own my 1971Honda CB750K1 and I have owned it since I bought it in 1972 with 600 miles on it.....I love that bike...I have a little over 2000 miles on that speedometer...
Thats cool. Needs another 0 on that odometer!
I had a 73 cb 750k that the previous owner painted black, it still had the original 4 into 4 pipes. I was told by the Japanese man that purchased it he was shipping it back to Japan. This was probably 15 years ago.
Have you tried evaporust for cleaning rust, especially gas tanks? Hands down my favorite product now. Invest in a 5 gallon bucket and you won't have to do electrolysis anymore.
Evaporust is good but at $30 a gallon it's very expensive. Electrolysis is like $3 and works equally well, just as fast, and very safe
Maybe someday I'll try electrolysis. I have about 8 gallons of evaporust and have done 4 rusty tanks, fenders, chaingaurd, nuts and bolts you name it and it keeps working. I filter it before I put it back in the container and I degrease the parts first. It is expensive but I look at it as an investment, like good tools. The results are amazing imo. But whatever works for you. 👍
Great video, BJ. Love Seth’s part. Can’t wait for the first start video…
Yeah it was fun! First start should be even better
I drug my 1971 cb750 out of my garage for the first time in about 15 years to tinker with it and see if I could get it going. Immediately ran into wiring problems. Is there a good help forum where I can get some technical advice?
@randallsmith2959 cb750 forums, factory diagrams, and some videos depending on what you need. Facebook pages can sometimes be helpful but get ready for idiots to say "check valves" "pod filters don't work" when you ask an electrical question
Great score! Anyone still make an 836cc kit for these? That really wakes up these SOHC engines.
Be cool to see this old streetfighter back in commission again! Thanks man!
Oh yeah Cycle x makes that and much more
So, the last video I watched was your Vermont loophole vid. What advice can you give when buying a bike without a title? I live in Oklahoma. My name is mike. Thanks.
Actually I'd refer you back to that video to look through the comments. Lots of great advice there to start. Usually just get a clear picture before you buy and run the vin through a theft database. Try to figure out where it was titled and go from there
Luck comes to whoever is worth it, 'grats with the haul
Thank ya!
Nice find there. Seth seems to be a good edition to the shop.. this b8ke should be a sweet daily ride. Enjoyed the video and RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!
Cool love the old CB750s problem is I remember them when new! In 1972 I had a CB350!
That is a tidy bike! I only wish I had one...
Its actually pretty clean!
put it in gear, use the clutch as a brake when unloading.....you are welcome !! :)
Man I have heard and seen this but for the life of me CAN NOT remember to do it lol
@@BrickHouseBuilds when that CB, or the next lands on top of you, I think you will get it burned into the brain? Great vids!
@MotoGiant so far no incidents in the multiple 1000s of times I've loaded/unloaded but yeah that would help lol
Hi I have a 1972 Honda 750 bought from in 2017 from the guy that bought it in 1977. I am looking to sell it I have title Thanks
Not a good place to sell something
Nice find I have K2 myself………….
Cool bike guys, rolling the dice on bikes that other people failed to get running is only risky when they leave out the small details.Good luck on saving another one of these iconic Honda 750 fours.
Yeah there can be risks but this one was easy compared to other we have done. Look for a first start video Monday 😎
Good
That side cover that you removed had the indentation where the original 750 / 4 badge would have been, could have been filled in from the outside and resprayed.😊
Definitely was.
Witam,kolejny fajny projekt.Pozdrawiam Tomek Polska.
Glad you enjoyed!
As a CB750k2 rider in the 1970s I can watch plenty of content like this....
I have plenty of it!
Your all over the place in this channel I was hoping to see the rest of your Benelli repair but its like all these mish mash of various bikes....I would love to subscribe when you complete a bike its a confusing channel
Well may I ask what you would be out by subscribing? It seems that the only issue here is that I provide a lot of content rather than a couple videos here and there. Also, all of my bikes and subsequent videos are organized carefully by playlist to stay on topic. Whe. I picked up the Benelli I said it would be a project that was far down the line and I've never been deceitful about that as yes, I have many projects ahead of it in schedule. There are many things at play here on why I work on what I do which I continue to explain in every video. If you like vintage bikes you should find all of this stuff fun!
It looks like Seth knows his way around at bike too, good job.
He does! I have a video in the works that lets you into how much he has worked on!
CB750's rule the world. I shouldbe finished with my K6 restoration in 2 months.
That will be nice!
Always interested when honda city bikes , type 'four', from the seventies show up. Great bikes - they learned me to drive on two wheels. Looking frwrd to seeing the next episode....
You might even find a sandcast one day.....holy grail.......great video
I'm always looking. I'm sure it will happen someday! Glad you enjoyed
Your very lucky Seth to have such a great Master, im very sure you will do well, great vid buddy you guys make a good team👍
Thank ya!
A beautiful bike! But I wouldn’t go higher than a 500, I like the 350’s as well
350s are cool for sure
If you're meant to get it, you're going to get it. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not. This time it's great. Being able to get a title and register this one will make it a true classic daily rider. Looking forward to the next video.
I just picked up a 1977. In great shape in Nc. My spring project
Nice!
The bike look great i cant wait to see more work on it , anf The new friend done good job u make good team , عمل جيد
🙏🙏
Excellent video guys really enjoyed it 👍👍
Thank ya!
Nice find, I've been trying so hard to scour for one in my area but really hard to come by here
Just have to be quick! I'm actually making a video that talks about finding those deals
@@BrickHouseBuilds that's awesome can't wait!
@BrickHouseBuilds funny timing I just scored a '81 CM400E for a steal
How did you soften the rubber carb hoses? I hope the bike isn't "hot".
Just a heat gun. I also just posted a video on boiling them if interested. Bike is not stolen
Turning into the "CB750 Centre / Guru / Whisperer" 😁
I'm gonna whisper to mine and tell it to start in less kicks than Seths lol
Hey BJ! I sent you a fb message of a cool bike that’s for sale in my area, hope you see buy it!
I saw it thank you
CB750 content is my fave content! Let the projects roll! One day I'll find a good project of my own to pick up, they're a wee bit more scant here in NZ. And seth is always welcome on camera!
Well im glad you are enjoying it! Hopefully you get your hands on one
CB 100 crying saw this 😭
Hi Guys Got my t shirt delivered today here in the UK. Best wishes 👍
Glad to hear it! Thanks so much!
Pretty cool find! Looks like a Sunstar back sprocket. Should be a nice bike. I am looking at a 94 CB1000, only needs "carb work". May be fun to do.
Yeah new chain and sprockets is cool!
excuses, excuses. You are hooked young man and there is no cure😂
100% 😂
Nice
🤘
Good job..my friend has gotten one to redo...thank you
Thank ya!
Dude l had the same addiction with Moto Guzzi's. It's rough because there are no 12 step programs to help.
I feel this lol. We should be accountability buddies 😅
@@BrickHouseBuilds My wife got a little pissed until l built a Moto Guzzi for her. She now has a very purple 1970 Moto Guzzi 750 Ambassador.
Last summer I drove my brothers -74 750cb and I have forget, how lousy brakes was in that age bikes, even that -74 cb have double discs in the front...My Ducati is another level and word...of course 50 years younger...
They definitely don't feel like breaks of today lol
Hello BJ well you’ve done it again! What a buy!
I hope you keep this peach original.
Look forward to seeing this move forward.
Thanks Kevin.
Should stay close to how it is now actually
Hi guys can never say no to another cb750 I’m not going to cause an argument I’m playing safe and say 5 kicks for both lol 😂😂 ,really clean bike and good on Seth for the repairs done a good job and to his wife for cleaning it was immaculate can’t wait to hear them both ,awesome buy BJ I’m jealous hahaha take care to you all and have a great day 👍👌🏁🏁🏍️🏍️❤️
5 kicks noted! It will make for a fun contest
What do these bikes cost ? What are they worth all fixed up? I have an Old CB 750.
Fair question. I tend to focus on the deals that are less than $1000. A concourse restoration level bike can command 20k. In between that depends on year and condition.
Thank you !
Enjoyable video guys,I worked as a salesman in the 70s at a Connecticut Honda Dealer. These motorcycles were a game changer as I'm sure you know. So bullet proof, so pleasant to ride, so easy to sell! Great job Seth I look forward to the next video.👍
🤘🤘
Nice!
Two of kind!
Keep Seth on he's better looking than you! 😄
Yeah Im sure that super close up didn't help my cause lol
😂
Yes, hard to say no to them. my heart skips a beat whenever I see one on marketplace. Does seem it took a little spill on the left side, maybe explains the newer style upper triple too? Nice you were able to get a intact stator cover too 👍
Yeah being that it went down like that at least tells me it was a runner. A local friend had a plated cover which was awesome
Love from Pakistan boss
🙏🙏
Awesome bike! I’m about to start on a 74 but it’s in a lot worse shape. Looking forward to upcoming cb750 videos.
I hope to do lots of cb750 stuff this season
Glad you guys have the skills to work on these.
Just some patience and a few key tool!
The valve cover have been sanded.
It may be an optical illusion. It was hard to tell in that moment but contrasting against the black may be throwing the eyes off
No,thats not what i mean. Just compare two valve covers side by side, you'll see what i mean.
Love 70s japaneseium. Good luck Seth. Fingers crossed for the three kicks 😂
It's possible! I've had one like this take just 1 kick!
Did you check the headlight for a key? Lol
Yes lol. Not that lucky this time!
How do you go about getting new tittles?
Well with this one thr goal is to get a lost title from the previous registered title holder.
Love the mini bike, & the ‘Krate’ bike…
Thank ya!
I might have audibly groaned when I saw another CB750 video lol. But it was entertaining as always and I totally get it. Bike looks in great shape, it being only 4 miles away, and somehow getting it ahead of what I assume was a ton of interest. Glad the video was a bit of a quick run through and can't wait to see them both running.
Will the "Kickoff" video release on the Superbowl? 😁
Well I love these things so expect many more cb750 videos on top of the many I have already lol.
@@BrickHouseBuilds I don't blame you. I have been trying to buy a basket case one off my friend now for a year lol. They're expensive in my area no matter what the condition. My Suzuki's are plentiful and cheap, but I would still like a CB one of these days.
WOW ! Fortunate find. guys ,Looking forward to the startup !
Should be fun!
Fortune favors the bold
Be careful rolling out the CB750, don't want to damage it😁
The camera angle makes it look really scary. It was weird to edit!
