      I don’t think you know what a railgun is my good sir, our current ones travel up to MACH 7 and this is years into the future the average railgun probably goes way faster than that, the fact that the handheld railgun doesn’t immediately blow your hand off is already amazing and it should one shot EVERYTHING it comes in contact to. The current railgun is perfectly balanced the way it is and it’s designed to be like that, so it should not get a nerf

    The Rail Gun doesn't need a nerf, weapons like the Auto Cannon Anti Material Rifle & Light Machine Guns need to have more damage capabilities on heavily armored vitals. If you are using the LMG's, Anti Material Rifle or the Auto Cannon, it's fairly obvious that they do nothing against heavily armed targets.... That's the problem.

      The autocannon is fine. It can kill groups of medium armored enemies, turrets, and tanks faster than the rail gun.

      Anti-material is viable on helldive autamatons. You can kill hulks with it on the eye part. But you must be skilled to land those shots

      I agree but no offense to Fallout but he mostly plays a game where Bungie nerfs fun. Anyone who has played Destiny knows it’s an abusive relationship. 😉
      The Railgun isn’t point and it kills and at higher difficulties it doesn’t make it easier it makes it manageable. When you have 5-6 Bile Titans and chargers and armored whatever the Railgun won’t save you. Unless you have amazing aim. Extreme difficulty and above you need it. Also there are more difficulties that are sure to be on their way. Helldive was not the hardest in the first one. So 1000% it’s not getting a nerf. Especially when we have The Inner Circle of Hell difficultly probably coming.
      Also I will say people are figuring out the other support weapons are bit better than what is first thought. The recoilless is better at striping armor off of enemies then anything else . One shot and a charger is weak to gun fire where the Railgun you have a couple of shots near the redline.
      The recoilless makes short work of dropships too.

      I like having a lot of options, but Railgun should probably get an Ammo nerf, and maybe some other options being better. The 10/10 best option in the game doesn't need 20 ammo without a backpack requirement

This is not a PVP sweatfest, it's ok to have good items in the game, but everything should be good and we should stop asking for the few good items to be made as bad as the rest.

      Game needs to be difficult. I agree with the sentiment to not just nerf everything cause it’s better but it’s got it’s limitations. Some things need to be tuned up or down slightly. And a lot is good where it’s at.

      I think a nice buff to the other strategem weapons would be allowing more ammo to be gained when resupplying the backpacks and allowing the backpack to be in the gunner to enable a team reload. Also the recoilless rifle should have a faster solo reload.

    The Eagle airstrike is so insanely good for how early you get it, wiping out chargers from full with a well placed airstrike on up to at least 7 (unsure about 8) for a 3 charge before resupply on such a cheap and versitile strategem has solidified it in my loadout from the second I picked it up

      Damage and enemy health doesn’t change depending on difficulty level, so if you can do it on 7 you can do it on 9

      Airstrike and 110s for me. Can't figure out why you'd run orbitals when some of them are shared between teammates and with hangar upgrades you have unlimited eagle strikes.

      ⁠​⁠@@demscrazy6574as nice as being dynamic with the stratagems is, railgun peaks compared to the rest of the weapons. Insane dps against any type of enemy (especially with unsafe mode), rarely ever run out of ammo, and doesn’t even require a backpack, so it’s perfect to pair with the shield pack. Unfortunately using any other weapon would just hinder efficiency, especially in the harder difficulties where you’re almost always getting chased by a titans and chargers or hulks and tanks.

      ​@@exoticengram5214 I play on hell-dive difficulty. the benefit of the railgun is its armor piercing. People love it for its utility. All weapons work well tho... People just prefer burst damage weapons(breaker) over those that are equally good. For example, a god tier setup like people say is the smg with the ballistic shield against bots. And every planet is different...

    I’ve been running the tr-117 armor which has the bonus stim armor effect. I’ve been really loving it because stims also give you infinite stamina while the effect is up, so if I’m swarmed and get a stim off I can just high tail it outta there. Having two extra stims and a longer duration is great, especially on the 40 minute missions. I’ve been using the railgun religiously, but for the bug missions it’s nice to have someone on a grenade launcher so that you can clear nests without even setting foot into them. The orbital airburst also makes light work of a bug breach, easily racking up 30+ kills on a good one.

      @@timber2lease I use the 110mm for the multiple uses before cooldown (and faster cooldown as well), but it does fail to kill Hulks and some other units often. Units like the Annihilator Tank it deletes them very effectively. Typically, after 110mm hit, Hulks go down after 1-2 railgun hits to their little face, so it's not too big of a deal.

    One note with any of the eagles and automaton missions: if the mission spawns an anti-air submission you cannot use any eagle types until it is cleared and you can still use orbital strikes.

    i like the 30% reduced detection range on scout armour. it is entirely possible to complete missions without an enemy seeing u once.

      Frankly, impossible/helldive is all about running away anyway, and trying not to be seen. Game goes from shoot em up, to running sim. Scout armor is likely the best because of that (even if armor values worked).

    The autocannon turret is also a fairly good anti large pick. It does require full investment to be good but so does the 500kgb. I have been consistently surprised at how hard that thing slaps bugs and is nice to have on high dif bile titan slaying missions since one turret can kill something like 4 titans on its own.

      The AutoCannon sentry seems to have some sort of added explosive round benefit, because I've sat next to one with the portable cannon and my rounds bounced off of chargers while the sentry rounds absolutely demolished them without bouncing off. Pair that with the Destroyer upgrades (50% extra ammo) and it wrecks everything.

    One thing about running 2 eagle stratagems is let’s say you use a 500kg it won’t go back on cooldown until you use your other eagle strikes or manually tell it to rearm which will then put your other strikes on cooldown even though you still have charges left

    My go to load out is railgun, sheild, Orbital rail cannon and eagle cluster bomb. The cluster having 4 charges, 5 after upgrade, before recharge needed is GOATed

      ​​​@@yurisinclair4160After you use any Eagle strat, a new strat will appear listed as "Eagle Rearm". The Eagle will become unavailable for a time but will come back with all of its strats refilled to their maximum capacity. The Eagle will automatically do this if it runs out of charges.

    It should also be stated the light armor unlocked later in the game produces more speed than the first light armor, and the second light armors helmet secretly provides a speed benefit
    Edit: It has been brought to my attention that this is most likely a visual glitch
    My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined
    Edit 2: I was lied to again, it does change your stats

      If you equip it in the armory, then go back to the armor tab, it shows your speed and stamina regen have increased. It’s only by about 5 though, nothing major

    I definitely agree that the rail cannon shield combo is a must pick for at least one of the members of the squad while at the same time it is arguably important to consider other roles to be made. The grenade launcher plus the supply pack is a great combo for add/hive clearing. The auto cannon is a great pick when it comes to medium armored enemies so the railgun can be directed towards those tougher targets.

    The Suits that give you the extra two stims also make the stims give you super high health regen for a short period, which basically makes you invincible against lower level enemies.

      Couple this with a supply pack and you have a shit ton of stims! Running MG or GL with the supply pack is so fun to me. Give me those, a shield, and a good strike and it’s awesome. Good addition to someone running with railgun.

    I appreciate that the railgun can stagger a charger (if you don’t kill it first shot). Makes it significantly easier to dodge. Oh and just an fyi; the vitality booster does not stack with the 50% limb damage defence armor mods. So best to take something else like muscle booster or the stamina booster.

    i'd definitely like to see your next hd2 video focus on *strategies* (not strategems) for difficulty 8-9. the way you have to approach those missions is very different than the lower difficulties, and i see a lot of people struggle with them.

    Personal shield, at the end of the day, is a crutch. Maps are so big and radar is so strong, positioning and awareness can eliminate a lot of what the shield gen can do for you. I love the PS, I think it's very strong, but once you get comfortable with those 2 things, you can free yourself of its influence.
    On higher difficulties, strong team composition becomes a lot more valuable. Because of that I really like using the supply pack and just running whatever support weapon happens to be laying on the ground. Most of the time, it's a really good add clearing weapon like a machine gun or grenade launcher. Speaking of which if you end up in a lot of games with lots of Bile Spewers, I highly recommend using the GL. Most everybody is gling to use the rail gun anyways so you can be the hero who can add clear and smoke 4 bile spewers in 2 shots. Plus you can take out bug holes. For automatons I enjoy the autocannon but since tanks are also a thing impact grenades and a supply pack and armor with the engineering kit are great. I kid you not 2 impact grenades at the top of a tank is all it takes to take them out. Plus you can rock a lot of enemies in a bot drop with impacts.
    Chargers you can also trivialize. Let them charge at you. Make them miss, and as they go sliding past you, they have the opposite of incinibility frames and you can actually kill them using your primary. Learning to kill them without a support weapons become huge as well in saving ammo and what loadouts I bring depending on my teammates.
    Nothing in the game is so strong that you are throwing if you don't bring them. Everything is either really good multi-role weapons/strategems or really good ad specializing at 1 or 2 things. This game sets you up to not have a goal for, "Can you handle everything in the game," but can you play on the hardest difficulty and full clear a map in 20-30 minutes. And to do that you need diverse loadouts and an understanding of what stratagems can be beneficial.
    A really good example is the Blitz missions that have you taking out fabricators and bug nests. The 120mm and 380mm can take out the big nests in a matter of seconds and can do it without risking a bug breach or bot drop. Becomes invaluable when tryi g to play on Helldive diff and all of a sudden, you are halfway to clearing the objective in the first 30 seconds of a match.
    Flex loadouts are great, but be even more flexible when running teams. Several loadouts work even with randoms.

      Either they nerf it (and breaker) or they make all weapons in the game busted to match it and the game becomes pansy difficulty.
      There is no such thing as a game that can "only buff" and make things work. That was blizzard's policy for years and it was so pathetically stupid how it destroyed long term balance in diablo and warcraft that to this day it is one of the biggest gaming jokes to have happened. Developers make mistakes, and sometimes things are far too strong, and bringing everything else to that level of strength would break the game.
      Assuming you have done impossible/helldive, but this loadout he mentions really is the 'only' choice so to speak. Even then, most of the time you are just running and kiting despite the strength of the things listed. Other weapons are barely, if at all viable, yet we have to play those top 3 difficulties to get those samples. They are going to balance things at the end of the day

      @someone-ji2zb All I'm saying is that the railgun doesn't need to be nerfed. It doesn't one shot every enemy. Yes, it's strong, but what's the problem with that? So are the other support stratagem...the game on impossible/helldiver difficulty are still challenging, even if you have these weapons and strats, doesn't mean you will succeed with using them, most people unlock strats and don't use them properly. The only "balancing" this game needs are for the primary weapons, the don't feel right and weapons you spend 40-75 points on, don't feel relevant. The fact that the defender and punisher are better than 80% of the games primary, is a problem.

      @@San.GarciaThe problem is that railgun has 20 shots and can deal with tough mediums as well as heavies. It has a good ammo count for the high damage it has, and is extremely versatile towards all manners of non grunt type enemies.
      My guess is that they wont touch the railgun's damage, but they will likely nerf the ammo count to prevent it from carrying bad situations regarding medium units.
      Similar issue with breaker as well; it handles all trash in the game on top of having a good ammo count. My assumption is that they wont disrupt the feel of the guns themselves, but rather limit the versatility of them through ammo.

    Idk if this is optimal, but it’s definitely saved me a few times. I use the trailblazer armor, defender, impact grenades, jump pack, orb laser, air strike, railgun. High mobility means i can usually run away from swarms i couldnt otherwise deal with, and because its an smg i can carry objectives without being screwed over

    My preferred high difficulty loadout is 500kg, Orbital Airburst, Rail Gun, and Shield Backpack. The airburst is really nice because is hits 3 times per call in, has a short cooldown, and deals a ton of damage. Have had situations where multiple chargers, with broken armor, ran into the airburst I had called on the little bugs and were wiped out

    the impact grenades are just a straight upgrade from the G12 grenades
    - they 1 shot bile/acid spitters on any difficulty
    - their range is technically *more* effective, as it wont be blocked by small debris on the ground nearly as much
    - no need to worry about fuse time for emergencies
    - infinite grenade "cook" time
    - able to use it to hurt bile titans if you hit their underside

      @@Hazzel22 You can, but it is a little bit tricky, You have to make sure that the arc of the throw is on the way down when it enters the exhaust. It is easier to do if you are aiming slightly lower than the exhaust. It does take some trial and error though.

    I really like the orbital laser when going up against heavy automaton outposts, if placed correctly you can usually take out both turrets, at least 2 fabricators and sometimes even a heavy armored enemy before it’s done

    There is this armor called the juggernaut. And the description says that is fully tested on a full grown charger. I tested it out yesterday and i got charged three times by that beast. And there was just a small 10 percent gone of my health.

    I happened across another mortar user just yesterday so we both always summoned our mortars simultaneously vs automatons. It was SO fun to just sit back and constantly hear the sound of noob toobs going off in rhythm as they effectively spawn camped drop ships.

      Yesterday my friend and me went to a large bot outpost and there were like 4 hulks in there and we were NOT equipped to deal with that (We're like level 12 or so). So We just went behind the walls, I put down my mortar and we just waited a few minutes and the hulks were gone.

    Pro tip to one shot bile Titans: There is a moment when the bile titan rears their head to spray, a green orb appears near their mouth that you can shoot with a rail gun one shot them with
    Personal kit-
    Light medic armor, utilizing extra stims for covering distance/pre healing after first damage event to cheat death from bug swarms
    Breaker, machine pistol, impact grenades
    Stratagems
    Grenade launcher, personal shield, orbital laser, & the 500kg
    I’m there to close objectives while my teammates fight the larger chunks of the horde, I come in with the GL to clear smaller to mid size mobs. Def recommend for a group running your build.

    I like to use the EMS strike as well if someone else is already running eagle airstrike, it really helps lock down enemies to prevent you from getting swarmed.
    Extremely useful to throw ems down into a bug breach to hold titans or chargers still for 500 kg or eagle air strikes, or completely shut down enemies while you retreat and move on to next objective.

    I love this build. I run the same stratagems, the only difference I would make is that I prefer the jar-5 to the shotgun against Automatons and the incendiary shotgun for bugs (for obvious reasons.) Also, don’t sleep on the revolver. It puts in decent work and is excellent for metering out democracy one round at a time. Lastly, I run the trench medic armor which is a light armor that makes stims last 2 seconds longer and allows you to carry 2 extra stims. It is invaluable imho.

    Don’t sleep on that detection -30%. It is legitimately insane how much of an impact that actually makes. I have been in spitting distance of patrols and not been spotted.

    You can also run the light armour that give the xtra 2 seconds duration to stims + shield generator pack. When the shield gets the depleted, use a stim, and by the time the stim effect goes away the shield is back up and charged. GOATED

    Armor-wise the stim passive is ridiculously good - it doubles the duration of your stims, which is nuts considering stims make you almost unkillable by small enemies and grant infinite stamina.
    Strategem-wise, once you completely upgrade your hangar, Eagle stratagems can give you similar power to the Orbitals on a much lower CD. IMO the Rocket Pods are super underrated and a serious competitor to the Orbital Railcannon - they do massive single target damage, are pretty easy to aim, and can be used quite liberally with 3 uses per rearm. I've been using the Rocket Pods or 500kg Bomb for single-target damage, along with Airstrike or Cluster Bombs depending on if I need more crowd clearing or the ability to blow up structures, and I've found that the high uptime on Eagle stratagems feels a lot stronger than the Orbitals. This is especially true in missions like Blitz where you might not even get to use your 2nd or 3rd Orbital Laser.

      Stim passive with the supply backpack is better than the shield backpack against bugs imo. You’ll get 24 stims before you need to re-up. Most of the time on hell dive I’m dying to chargers which one hit regardless of shield .

      Cluster suffers from not being able to harm buildings or heavy enemies. It does clear a much wider area than Airstrike, but once you're in to the levels where heavy armor spawns constantly the Airstrike becomes god-like.

    I used the medic stim armor. Slugger shot gun cuz that description is completely accurate. It does punch holes through enemies like nothing. Also I run impact nades. Don’t have time to cook stuff when Im running. Then for sidearm I use the revolver. Yeah the machine pistol is probably better but I can’t get enough of the revolver one shotting the weaker robots. Seeing a drop ship drop a bunch of the regular robots and just going in with my revolver and one shotting each one like it’s target practice. Shooting glass bottles. It’s cool. For stratagems. I use the rail cannon strike. For the bail Titians and tanks. Then railgun for just anti armor. Then I grab the supply back pack. It’s one hell of a underrated stratagem. Y’all gotta understand that you’re carrying a supply drop on your back. It restores stims nades and ammo. And ontop of that. The medic armor that gives more stims and makes stims last longer? And ontop of that. You can always call down a regular supply drop. And ONTOP OF THAT. You almost always live long enough without using up all of the backpack. But when you eventually do. The you can call down another back pack right away. Instant resupply. Do it right and you got infinite supplies. AND ONTOP OF THAT. It actually helps your teammates. Something the shield backpack could never do. I see my teammates running and getting stunlocked by those jumping bugs and they’re running low on stims? I run over and hand them a supply. A single supply box restored 3-2 stims btw. I forgot the exact number but it’s a noticeable amount. It also gives max ammo. When I used the breaker it refilled all the way to 7/7. Overall the backpack is just perfect for me. Shield generator seems selfish to me. But lastly, my last stratagem is the eagle strike rockets. It gives a wall of explosions with a fast cool down. If you place it right. It can easily take out bases with two factories.

    Priestley I like using the Orbital rail, gun, strike, and the laser gun strike as if you don’t know against the robots, it will target their outpost maker robot things. It’s also very good for dealing with massive swarms of bugs

    One tip a lot of people don't know is that your orbital and eagle strategems can be thrown to your teammates, who will automatically catch it and can then throw at an enemy without having to type the code.
    It's a game changer. See one of your team mates struggling while being chased by 50 bugs? Throw them a Orbital strike!

    Also the scout helmet has a hidden buff atm. It gives you 6 extra movespeed but 6 less armor. However, since armor doesn't work right now, it's just a buff.

    In random matches, when I see 2 railgun users, I opt for a different support weapon. While the railgun is very strong against armored targets, autocannons and other crowd control support weapons will help stem the tide of small and medium sized enemies. This I think will help your team in general as your team mates with railguns can concentrate their effort in taking out the larger enemies. Spitters are easy to kill with a well placed shot on the head from a rail, I agree, but it gets difficult when you have to charge your shot and there are dozens of other critters nipping at your heels.
    The game spawns in more hordes the longer you take on the mission, with that in mind, if you have friends playing with you, you can opt for a single support equipment drop and 3 offensive/deterrent gems. Like your call in is a railgun and your friend's call in is a shield. In a few minutes time, both gems will cool down and you'll have each other's support equipment. This frees up a gem slot for the both of you to add in another gem effectively increasing your combat potency.

      The only issue I have run into is that the other rail gun users either don’t know or miss their targets and I still get rampaged. I have seen a RG user sit and shoot hive guards while I’m duck dip diving out of the way of a charger with an AC on my back.

    Personally I've been using Orbital Rail Cannon, Eagle Airstrike, 110 Rocket Pods OR Orbital Airburst, and then Autocannon. When it comes to solo it does change, but when you have a team, even randoms, they always balance you out. The autocannon is fun to use, has tons of ammo, takes out bile spewers very quickly and can take out a chargers butt fairly quickly. Biggest downside is having to completely stop to reload, but if you have a team you just retreat behind them and it reloads pretty quick compared to recoiless.
    Also, arguement against recoiless- if you use this, I highly suggest switching to expendibles. You get 2 every call in and you get them back every 70 seconds. You dont have to worry about reloading and instead just need smart rotations. Its incredibly better imo than wasting a backpack slot just to have a terribly long reload.

    I really like the Rover Laser Guard Dog for helping against bugs. It has some friendly fire potential but it just melts away the small stuff so you only have to care about the big ones.

    I've seen a build with automatons that basically works very well under team play (until you get blasted by a DH Rocket) Armor is light with blast protection 50% primary is the SMG 2ndary pistol SMG Stratagem is Orbital laser, Ballistics Shield, Rail Gun, Eagle Airstrike. Boost is Hearty boost to prevent injury. the goal is to stealth a good chunk of the fights and if you get shot at (which will happen a lot) you can push forward while shooting and keep your shield up as you switch between the primary and 2ndary. and if you run into devastators or hulks you can swap after taking cover to the Rail gun to opt them out from a safe spot without suffering too much damage. As for bugs, the change I'd swap would be the Air strike for Cluster bombs since a lot of the bugs seem to hate separating and prefer to swarm together. and i would switch the orbital laser for the EKG500 since it has sticky properties on its stratagem orb to remove bigger targets with ease. And swap the Ballistics shield for the shield generator since bugs swing too wide and just hit around the shield itself. i've done this build on helldive with a few friends who bring in similar builds and or a nade launcher with supp pack/ recoilless supp pack (with someone carrying the ammo to team reload as the supp pack resupplies their ammo) and it's been consistent enough to bring light into talking about it.

    I have a similar loadout to you but I replace the railgun for the grenade launcher and change around more orbitals. My idea is that if one brings the grenade launcher swarms become less of an issue, you can take out factories and bug nests from a far, it is very reliable when you have stratagems on cooldowns, and whatever of the heavy enemies remain the orbitals or railgun players should take them out. The downside is it is pretty bad at taking down heavy enemies and its splash radius can kill you and your teammates if not careful

    even though it takes up both your heavy weapon and backpack slots i've been loving the Recoilless Rifle Rocket Launcher, if aimed well it can one shot anything in the game, and even when aimed poorly it still shatters a huge hole in the enemies armor, and cripples thier health

    For my loadout I go with the Breaker, Redeemer, G12. My goto stratagems are Orbital Precision Strike, Eagle Airstrike, GL support weapon, and then a toss up between the Gatling turret and the Autocannon turret

    Something for folks to really take note of, use the first person ADS function for the Railgun in Unsafe Mode and you'll see the charge gauge which will prevent you from potential unforeseen overcharge based explosive accidents. Stay safe and fight on Divers!

    If you want a cookie cutter "team build" going rail,rail strike, laser, shield, is a solid "Assassination" build that allows enhanced elite killing goodness. I like 2 ppl running that, and 2 with more "horde clear". Especially when you're trying to hit most/all of the 40min mission map objectives. The assassination folks hit the big targets/elites, and horde clear run backup and get the 250-400 kills while you do all the things.

    The only thing id switch out would be the mortar cannon. When dealing with large encampments the sheer number of explosions and the damage they can put out alongside the range allows you to drop it behind cover and watch it rack up kills better then anything else in the game. With the 50% ammo buff its probably the best way to clear enemies without a doubt, especially in solo content.

    Glad to see, that at roughly 85 hours myself, I use the same build. My light armor gives me a 30% increase in throw distance and 50% bonus limb health which helps in survivability and the throw distance helps prevent engagements. I especially love it for bot missions when I can chuck an airstrike WELL away from an outpost and watch it blow up as I'm already moving for the next obj. I can understand if the Railgun gets nerfed, because it really IS that good, but I hope it doesn't. Hopped down to early diffs to help out some new players and they literally TK'd me several times to steal my railgun off my corpse LOL

    Hi! over 100 hours played here, there are two different guns that are better than the breaker depending on if you're fighting bugs or bots. The slugger can penetrate the hive guard's armor, making it better for bugs than the breaker. Also! The Scorcher can penetrate the walker's armor making it better at dealing with bots and saving precious railgun ammo. Admittedly, these are end-game items. The Breaker is NOT the best weapon in the game, it's the most well rounded, and the easiest S Tier gun to acquire. As far as grenades go, the impact grenades are the best, you can deal with a swarm before they get to you, just watch your aim. Shield gen and railgun are in fact a must, he's pretty on the ball with the stratagems. my preference is 500kg and the rail cannon OR the orb laser. you can kill anything between that and the railgun, especially if your whole team runs it. On the topic of armor, I recommend the trailblazer scout, legionnaire, or a democracy protects set. That's either speed with camo/throw range or potentially cheating death with less speed, respectively. Great tips overall, keep it up.

    For the bugs if you're going to be the "dedicated" nest destroyer I like the laser guard dog and grenade launcher. I'll use the Eagle Airstrike to initiate contact killing most of the bugs already there then just dodge and weave through any bugs spawning as you destroy all of the nest with the grenade launcher. The laser guard dog does a good enough job on the unarmored enemies, especially those Hunters, and can put the armored shrimps into a "Hull Down" style position making it really easy to run up onto their side and finish them off. Also if you get good enough with the grenade launcher you can destroy and entire nest without needing to go into the middle.

    I would add that a huge downside to picking multiple airstrikes is that you throw away "ammo" if you recall the eagle early to refresh one of your stratagems, or you lose access to one if you wait to use them all.
    So YMMV for picking only one eagle in your build.
    You may like that it works that way, I don't like the complication.
    One orbital, one eagle.

    For anyone who may be struggling against bots, I’d recommended shield backpack, railgun, 110 rocket pods and the eagle airstrike. With all uprades in the ship mod you basically have ways to take out heavy encampments, with multiple tanks or hulks without even having to walk in inside and for almost the same cooldown as the orbital railgun

    Fun tip: The Eagle Smoke Strat can break outposts. Particularly effective for Bots as it can break the factories and provide cover.

    Honestly I feel that the Grade Launcher is grossly slept on. Useless against heavy armour but extremely effective at croud controlling regular swarms of baddies especially if you have at least 2 team mates rocking these. I regularly rock these with my mates which trivializes the insane ammout of swarms and patrols at very high difficulty. Made a gameplay video of us of an almost flawless run on hard with nade launchers. Not only that but the utility is great as it can close bug holes at a distance, destroy ammo depots, transmit towers and open doors to name a few. In testing we noticed it can two shot certain heavy enemies if you can manage to hit weak points. Creating a vid on nade launchers soon.

    I prefer the Spear as a replacement for the personal Railgun.
    Since I do use the Orbital Railgun for the Titans and Chargers in a pinch, the stand off ability with the spear is amazing tactical option, especially if you're with a team that just doesn't automatically run in and start aggro. 2 Spears for a charger at a distance where even solo reloads means you get both shots off before he gets to you is nice, and its usually 3 for the Titans, but most of the time I get away with an armor break for the first one and teammates finishing him off.
    Where the Spear really shines is taking out Automaton factories. You can easily lock onto the buildings from 80m, sometimes even further if you have a full profile on it, making it further than you can throw a strategem even with the boosted 30% throw distance armor. Makes taking down outposts stupid easy and takes some of the unit pressure off of your team having less to worry about.

      The issue with the Spear over the Railgun is that:
      1. The Railgun has MUCH more Ammo
      2. The Railgun doesn't need a backpack slot
      3. The Railgun doesn't need help reloading/doesn't stop you in your tracsk when reloading
      4. The Spear lock-on is wonky as hell and even when locked on it just sometimes goes SOMEWHERE instead of hitting the target.
      Point 4 alone makes the Spear more or less unusable right now. If they fix that it becomes a not terrible choice, but even then it needs more damage and maybe a few other buffs to be able to compete with the Railgun.

    The Stalwart LMG, Disposable Anti-Tank rocket launcher and grenade launcher are all fun choices. The defender + ballistic shield looks like it could be a sort of tank affair, but I've not tried it. Sure, the stuff you mention is for higher end gameplay. But, when you just want to run around and embrace your inner (movie) cap(sule) trooper from Starship Troopers the Stalwart on an easier level scratches that itch nicely.

    I have been running the arc thrower. You can snap out arcs quickly and infinitely. There’s no heat up/battery/mag. You can just fire infinitely and arc through crowds

    Eagle air strike destroys nest and factories. Has the best ship upgrades with 50 cooldown reduction. Final ship upgrade gives you 3 runs with it. Great for hit and run builds. Also either use scout with radar or get medium with better throws with stamina. Also rail gun with shield of course and the last is up to you. You can run this load out on missions that only allow 3 loadouts. If needed you can use the last for orbital laser for destroying titans, ships on destroy ship missions or use shield generators when extracting or trying to help teammates survive. Also practice trying to survive and using your envious for cover from enemy fire. If you got a good host they should understand if you go off by yourself you doing it to accomplish tasks and the main objective so hopefully you don’t get booted.

    110MM Rocket Pods are so slept on. It’s my favorite stratagem for deleting individual heavy targets, it can also blow up buildings if need be. 1 shots: Tanks, Turret Cannons, Chargers(takes a little finesse), Bile Titans(also takes finesse but not as much as Charger), sometimes Hulks but usually just significantly damages them. I’m level 50 with 140 hours, just thought I’d throw that in there 😂.

    Tend to get more value out of clusters for bugs, airstrike for bots. 5 uses lets you kill spore trees and clear patrols with it. Essentially, the cluster is a "i'd rather not spend 2 grenades and 2 breaker magazines to fix this problem" and the airstrike is for buildings and armor.

    I often run the 500kg with the eagle airstrike, but that combo definitely has its drawbacks. The Pro is that you can have upwards of 5 great strategum uses in a single fight, the downside being that while you're resupplying you get nothing at all.

    In regards to armor the suits that say "adds +2 grenades" those suits do give u the extra grenades(an personaly having 2 more grenades is awesome)

      All the armour abilities work, it's just the armour value itself that is bugged.

    I pretty much use that build, but people ever talk about synergies in a wider group. Also I am finding that sometimes when you get into that situation where you keep getting overrun, running with a railgun and a 6 minute CD is harder than running with an Expendable Anti-Tank, where you get 2 every minute. For example, for a charger the anti-tank does the same thing as a railgun, where you hit the leg twice and the armour pops off.
    I guess maybe the question here is what do you do to not get overrun so you don't wind up in that catch 22 where you lose your weapon, and then you struggle to pick it back up because there are too many mobs (a lot of which are armoured and now your railgun is gone), and you keep dying because mobs just add up. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it's a pain.

    A loadout that ive been preffering is the arc thower, backpack lazer drone, and then 500kg and railgun. The arc/lazer will take care of any problem that isnt a heavy/boss, and thats where the railgun and 500 come in. then the weapons/armor is just whatever i feel like using which is usually the light armor/defender. The only downside of the arc is that if your not careful, freindly fire is pretty common lol.

    My ship is fully upgrade, the autocannon turret is my go to. Throw it so it has an angle on the enemy to reduce team or self dmg. The placement is highly important and you must tell people to not be in melee range.

    Yeah the railgun really is a no brainer. I do hope it gets tweaked down a little bit. Personally I lean a little more to including the 110s over the Railcannon since you get 2-3 uses before they go on cooldown, it really helps when multiple bile titans are approaching. Though you could also just be the heavy killer and bring both to be the nightmare of every heavy enemy.
    The Slugger is actually really good against automotans. It's not exactly a railgun shot but it can stagger and punch through pretty much anything on the roster, sometimes even if you aren't hitting a weak point. Which is weird that it says 'light armor' since it's very much punching through medium. I feel like it's a pretty good swap out for the breaker though since it's effectively doing the same great damage but the single slug does mean you can hit at mid-range with full effectiveness. Though it does honestly feel inaccurate, can't tell if it's a red-dot issue or projectile speed.
    I have a hilariously effective core weapon loadout of the guard dog, laser canon and scythe. It's a ton of sustained DPS that can actually tear through a lot of light to medium targets pretty effectively. You main the canon and swap to the rifle before overheat to let it cooldown naturally while keeping the sustain up. Generally by the time the rifle is about to overheat you can swap back.

      This isn't Destiny, please stop asking for good stuf to be made bad, ask for the bad stuff to be made good. The Railgun is the only weapon in the game that is fine as it currently is, the rest needs sizeable buffs. It's complete bullshit that you need to pump 50% of your ammo capacity into a Charger with the Recoilless Rifle or that the Anti-Material Rifle doesn't actually Anti any Material. We should stop asking for nerfs, we should ask for buffs.

    Instead of the meta railgun and shield pack, I find the autocannon to be a great pick. It can deal with any nests or factories by shooting them (although you have to bounce the bullet off the hood vent for automatons) and makes quick work of anything so long as you hit the weak point, along with 50 rounds in the backpack. If you can hit your shots I highly recommend it. Also rocket pods is an underrated stratagem

    The Eagle Airstrike is genuinely the most versatile stratagem in the game. It's incredible how often you can absolutely nuke 15 or so enemies, or kill several spawners at once with it.
    It's also amazing against the robots, because it takes out the tanks consistently. Essentially the only targets it struggles with are the hulks, and the canon turrets, as it has a hard time hitting them with more than one bomb.
    It's not as good against the charger or the bile titan though. Against the bugs I tend to use the napalm instead, for the slowing effect, along with the ability to spawn kill the bugs.

    one backpack that a lot of people sleep on is the jump pack, if you are running stealth, it helps you run away from enemies, no engagement, no wasted time ...

    I like running the auto cannon, mortar, 500/laser, and the normal airstrike. The auto cannon has so much ammo and very versatile and has the capability to deal with any target but its tricky to deal with heavy armor as apposed to the railguns simplicity. The mortar is great for sieging larger outposts or serves as a good distraction when its not annihilating helldiver's

      I use the auto cannon as well, it has a ridiculous amount of ammo, to the point where I run it as a primary during Automaton missions. I then have orbital laser, Auto cannon turret and rocket turret to top it off. Pretty much everyone I run in to in quick play (even those rank 20+) make far more use of turrets than anything else.

    Orbital Laser, Railgun, Shield Generator Backpack, stratagem of choice depending on mission type. Sub orbital laser out for eagle smoke on civilian evac missions.
    Orbital Railcannom strike needs a buff so it actually takes out whatever it hits in 1 shot. If you can take a Bile Titan out with 1 Safe shot from a Railgun then the railcannon with a huge cooldown and 1 target should 100% kill it

    Biggest thing we’ve been doing is having one person break away from the group and trigger big breaches and bot drops to draw aggro, then kite and disengage, while the rest of the team hits objectives and points of interest.

    Honestly, the Breaker and Railgun don't need a nerf, the other weapons (primaries and anti heavy armor) need a buff. Playing diff 7+ you need the powerful stuff, but most weapons just suck, the top 2 primaries are probably Breaker and Scorcher (last unlock), thats it.
    I enjoy playing without shield backpack against bugs on diff 7+ (against bots I feel its almost mandatory, but its also doable without it), so I can use Recoiless or Spear launcher just for fun and variety, most find annoying to give up a backpack, but honestly, I don't mind that much, I just wish the reload of Recoilless and Spear was faster (I know they are trying to push ppl to parter up, but it doesn't really work with the high pace of the game, specially on 7+ with huge swarms). Also, the Spear is amazing, the only thing holding it back is the lock-on system that sometimes its janky (and the slow reload, as mentioned before).

      Idk man. Buffing guns like marksman to be on the level of breaker usefulness might break the game entirely. Breaker is just far too powerful even on helldive to the point of absurdity. My friend group all run it (pretty much identical to this video because it is practically required) and it is dumb how easily you can clear all trash; we basically just joke about it the whole time we play now due to how pigeonholed people are using the easy mode load outs.
      Sometimes they can't avoid nerfing certain mistakes, otherwise they make the game far too simple. Yea, they could just buff everything, and then the game becomes mainstream 'easy' like most game devs do now days.
