Jamie mindlessly thinking he was told to flip over a glass filled with liquid followed by Ben calmly and quickly correcting him , then followed by everyone not saying anything and moving on from it is the embodiment of the group's dynamic. Hilarious

The idea of Christmas flavored potato chips is so British and so fun! We don’t have that concept really in the US. Our chips stay the same year round. However, popcorn for Christmas is a big thing! Stores sell giant tins covered in cheesy Christmas scenes filled with butter, cheese, or caramel popcorn (or often compartments with each) that people will give to friends or bring to parties. As the child of a teacher, we would sometimes end up with multiple tins of popcorn in the house every year because it was a popular gift for teachers. (My mom also has a massive collection of Christmas mugs and teacher themed ornaments for the same reason.) Now, it’s getting to be a little old-fashioned, but I think making the flavors more creative could make it more popular again. I think we’re all a bit over neon orange colored cheese popcorn.

I wish my American markets had Christmas food offerings this interesting and apparently tasty. We do get some Christmas specialties, but I've not seen anything I'd like to try as a couple of these. Also, it used to be that Trader Joe's had Christmas liqueur cakes in several flavors that were really nice (and reasonably priced) but they haven't had them for several years. I miss those.

Love the three bird turkey replacement. Guinea fowl is our chosen Xmas lunch, usually in saffron and ginger sauce, with a (small) amount of boiled potatoes and some special rice (varies from year to year). I never found the recipe: bizarrely, I dreamed it: I do that sort of thing from time to time... This way, you don't end up with kilos of turkey that you get sick of after a few days. Oh, and just to stir up a bit of controversy: I love Brussels sprouts!

As a single person I buy a turkey tenderloin. The package contains two, a pound each (2.2 kg), already marinated. The second can be frozen for later, they are delicious and cook quickly.

An alternative Christmas meal is something my family has done for years. Our tradition is to do surf and turf (typically scallops and steak) on Christmas.

Would love to see more vegan/vegetarian/pescatarian Christmas dishes!!! I’ve been making salmon each year and as delicious it is, I need a change. Plus most of my family is vegetarian/vegan, so we’ve never been able to share the main dish, which is a shame.

I’m loving the PJs. Have to admit they just look like gorgeous Asian-style PJs, and I can’t see the ‘Christmas’ in the pattern, but I love them. V stylish. And Ben definitely wins the ‘manly Chef chest hair’ badge over the Normals, who look like they all wax… ;)

Those crisps weren't just Iceland, those were Mackie's crisps. A very popular brand in Scotland that make some wild and amazing flavours.

The chips/crisps would be great as part of Christmas prank - someone could invite people over and then say they didn't know how to cook Christmas dinner, so the whole meal is all sorts of flavoured chips.

Fun fact, in Turkey, there are many different flavours of Turkish delight. The rosewater flavour is more popular in the foreign market than in Turkey.
