A very high quality company called Mountain Rose Herbs has lovely bulk leaf tea and blends on it. I feel like you would like the herb Motherwort. It is a great herbal tea to blend with chamomile and rose.
Raspberry leaf tea is GREAT for menopause. I never thought of combining camomile with lemon balm. What a great idea! I use everything youv'e shown, plus mugwort. It's wonderful for digestion and sleep. 🥰
I think it depends on your existing hormones whether Raspberry Leaf tea will help or harm you. I’m going through menopause and Raspberry Leaf was horrible for me, it caused a horrendous down mood that was very unpleasant to endure.
@@wtfhappenedtome We know everyone's body is different. It must have been awful for you to have that mood drop. I hope you found something that works for you. ♥
@@RoseCottageColleen hi thanks for responding - what has helped me unexpectedly is a very small amount of testosterone gel applied to my skin every day, and staying away from any estrogenic foods like soy, garbanzo beans, etc. Yes you’re right we all have very different hormonal balance. The testosterone was my gynecologists idea, it was an amazing improvement in mood, energy, etc. She told me it can especially help women during perimenopause or menopause who’ve had endometriosis. I don’t usually use medications or any chemicals, but I’m making an exception for this one!
@@wtfhappenedtome I have found staying away from those estrogenic foods to be beneficial as well, even in terms of overall health. I'm so happy for you that you found something that worked ❤
I love drinking nettle tea. Also mullein leaf tea is a great support for lung issues and can deal with gram positive and gram negative bacteria. Thank you for the reminder about red raspberries nutritive value. I’m 64 and kind of thought that was for younger women’s support. Love my herbal infusions!
I took red raspberry tablets twice a day all during my pregnancy had natural child birth very easy hardly any pain. Only took 6 hours start to finish birth. Pushed 4 about 15 minutes
In Melbourne, Australia I was looking at the frozen berries I like to buy. The raspberries are more expensive than blueberries and blackberries. In Winter here, fresh are way too expensive. The same sounds right for raspberry tea being so good for you. I haven’t done many combinations but will watch you now for good tips,
I drink hibiscus tea for high blood pressure. I keep a 1/2 gal made at a time to drink cold from the refrigerator and I enjoy tai basil just for taste.
I love peppermint so much that I put 2 bags in my teacup. Also love the Eurphoria tea from the Euphoric Herbals Apothecary, the Extra Sleepytime tea for night time, and the Organic's detox.
Marisa your baby is so cute 🥰 - question - how long do you think it’s ok to leave tea steeping? And then how long is it ok to keep tea around after it’s made? For context, I make hibiscus tea every day because it successfully keeps my blood pressure down. I use the same “organic” brand you have there, 1 tbsp to a pot, and let steep for 30 mins or so. Then I pour the tea into a glass quart jar and add it to my water all day. But I never know how long it’s safe to do this before maybe bacteria could start to grow.
Thank you! I leave it to steep around 15 minutes, and then if I want to keep it longer than a couple hours or so, store it in the fridge for a few days :)
Thanks for the nice video. I use a lot of tea bag "herbal infusion" teas. The republic of tea and traditional medicines bagged teas do very well on keeping the bags safe and paper not plastic. I want to start using loose herbal teas though. I use a lot of chamomile and lemon balm teas. They help me calm down and actually help me deal with hyperthyroidism. Hopefully with gaps this will resolve too over time
That throat coat tea is AWESOME!! My favorite is spearmint tea and the hubby likes lemon tea (made from real lemon, not tea bags.) The red rasberry leaf tea gives me headaches because my hormones are out of wack. Is there a specific time of the month I should avoid it?
I'm guessing the raspberry is triggering some liver detox, which could cause the headache. I would figure out the timing by journaling. Hope this helps!
Thank you for doing this video. Would you mind sharing where you purchase your teas in bulk. I drink tons of tea daily and have been looking to purchase in bulk. I appreciate your generosity in helping me. Thank you
Hi Marisa! I would love to hear about your gaps coach training and studies - unless you already discuss it in some video (I just couldnt find any). It'd be super interesting! How was it, how long did it take etc. Wishing you and your family all the best from Finland!
Ps. Please do share about your kefir routine! I was able to buy kefir and the scoby after a long time of waiting, but now proceding with gaps and detoxing I just find it overwhelming with everything and on top of kefir routine lol. Would love to hear your tips - which are always so helpful!
What i always wonder, is if not almost all raspberry leaf tea red? As raspberries are generally red, only some special cultivars are white or other colours? Anyway im drinking 'forest raspberry leaf tea' for my pregnancy as red leaf raspberry tea needs to be imported from far...
Have been drinking different teas for over 50 years. Learned today from my doctor today I have to quit drinking it. For some reason it causes me to have seizures.
I would like to correct one thing you said at the start of your video: you said that you actually make a infusion when making a tea - thats not correct. When you make a tea, you pour boiled water over some herbs, let it sit for some minutes, take the herbs out and drink the tea. When you do an infusion, you put herbs in a jar or bottle, fill it up with cold or boiled water, close the jar or bottle and let it sit for minimum 4 hours to maximum 12 hours. Then drain and drink it over one or two days. With tea as well always put a lit or the saucer on top of the cup so that the volatile oils dont get lost while the tea sits for some minutes. Best wishes, WH
Hi Marrisa, I know it's not about tea but I need your help. I am on Gaps stage 2 and my Autistic boy is now eating as much as before. He can have two bowls of Carrot soup🙆🙆, he used to eat carbs only before. Is this normal?. He is eating too much.
Your son might be craving carrots because they are a high carb veggie and feeding yeast. The yeast wants to be fed, it creates cravings, which are always a sign.
@@wtfhappenedtome is that so??. So what should I do?. Which veggies do I prepare for him?. Even pumpkin soup he loves such and then I discovered that he becomes hyper, so I changed to carrots
Carrots should be okay on stage 2, and he probably likes them for the carbs. They will feed yeast to some degree, but that's also okay to some degree. I would try to expand the variety as you can to more vegetables. Also, as long as he's having the carrot soup, add as many good things as you can to it! Egg yolks, kefir cream, animal fat, etc. Those nutrients will help progress be made :) Feel free to message me if you have questions!
@@bumblebeeapothecary thank you. I have been trying to mix with peas, greans beans, mince meat and all sorts of green vegetables that are available. He also likes Carrot-Ginger soup. Thank you

Which herb or combination of herbs is best for ice tea in the heat of the summer? I'd like specific proportional recipes for teas too.
I really like either peppermint or red raspberry leaf as iced tea - both are delicious! I actually prefer the raspberry cold :)
Ive heard chamomile shouldnt be had during pregnancy.. do you know if thats true?
My midwife said it was fine - I'd ask your healthcare provider :)
