You got the same colour as me!! I've had mine for nearly 3 weeks and to say I love it is an understatement! I initially wanted an Atto, but the interior was too quirky and too blue for my taste. The Dolphin is a little small on boot space but wow, she drives like a dream 🩵
But Dolphin doesn't have rear AC, it's very frustrating in tropical countries where typically around 35-37c. How about in your country? is rear passengers still okay in hot weather?
Yeah need a full review mate 😂 considering one soon.

The Atto 3 has the perfect size to replace our Mazda CX-5. The interior was the main reason why I rejected the Atto 3. It is less the styling than it is only available with many white surfaces which are not suitable wearing jeans and with kids. I then bought the Dolphin. It is smaller and lower but can still fulfil my needs. I am hoping that BYD will introduce a facelift of the Atto 3 or some a little bigger crossover.
The acceleration on the Atto 3 is better if you fit 235 tyres (something you cant do with the Dolphin. The Atto 3 has a different target market than the Dolphin, being bigger, and more expensive. Also, the boot space and rear seat space is way smaller on the Dolphin, there's no way my 72kg Dane will fit in the Dolphin unless I put the seats down. Also, the Atto3 has a more comfortable ride, it also has an opening Moon roof.
Who knows with China how long either will be around and availability of parts. Plus poor service in the Philippines at least. The Atto 3 is much better for ground clearance and flooding after monsoons. Dolphin has slower acceleration and poorer battery chemistry. However there both unknows with China.
Dolphin premium (Australia) has exactly same motor & battery size spec as atto 3 With lower weight thus all other channels said Dolphin premium is faster acceleration against atto 3 Some also timed Dolphin premium is faster
This a strange vid and I'm not sure why you posted it. I bought an Atto last week and I don't think the market for Atto is the same as Dolphin. I wouldn't even consider a Dolphin. Smaller and not an SUV. I've gone over a Seal and the Dolphin and I see they are part of a range for different purposes. If you want performance go for the Seal.

That were my some concerns. But I don't need an SUV and the Dolphin has a good ground clearance and the seating high is not too low. The Dolphin also has a lot of performance, compared to fossil cars in the segment. You really don't «need» more performance. The Seal is a very nice car. But it is also quite large (long) and the trunk is not very useful. The Seal with a large hatch (lift back) or even as a estate (shooting brake) would be great.
The software, though. Also the mg4 is more expensive @@TOTN17

@@TOTN17 I tried the MG4. I very like its style. But is too low for me and missing some (comfort) features. I also prefer BYD's battery technology. BYD Thailand seems also be better prepared. The local MG showroom seems not be very informed about EVs. I own a BYD Dolphin since more than 5 months (15,000 km). It is a very comfortable car and I very like it. The Yuan Up (Atto 2?) would give me a higher seating position and some more luggage space on a still compact size.

Exactly my situation. CX5 is superb except ICE.
Panoramic roof without rear AC vent killing rear passengers in my tropical country
look at the blind spot it's huge

That's interesting about the tyres. Have they reduced your range at all? What brand did you fit?
@@krossbolt4100 continental uc6 235s , I haven't noticed much change in range, but big change in grip (especially in the wet).
@@hartozThat sounds like a good compromise to lose a little range, should give a slightly firmer ride and corner a little better as well.
Does BYD app work with dolphin?
Yep perfectly except it has a picture of an atto 3 😅
Yes, mine has a picture of the Dolphin
I agree with you. Dolphin is better
My kids in crammed in the back: (yes this is betters!)
I think u forgot ventilated seat. the dolphin got it and atto not
Ohhh I didn't know that! 😲

To be honest, I think there is little chance of the largest selling EV company in the world disappearing......

@@thtupid ok. I think most people get SUVs for practical reasons such as the ride height, boot space, seat space
@@foxtrot762 Yeah I get that. But then again, those things (apart from the ride height) can be found in wagons. Which most SUVs are...raised wagons.
