Working on Leila’s team sounds like heaven 😂 at my job I have to be tactical as an employee to subtly implant more efficient processes into the leaderships mind cus there’s a bit of “be quiet, you’re the employee” energy
Of all of the productivity videos I have ever seen, this was by far the most valuable. I have been trying to master the art of this for years and your tips were invaluable. Thank you.

SOOOO many software development teams need the advice in this video. Probably the most commonly committed sin is that most dev teams start off the morning with a "Standup" (status meeting), which means the managers are mollified but all of the developers (creatives) are now drained of energy they needed to get started on their work.
This video really got me thinking about how I manage and track my time and called my self out for falling short of what I need to do. I heard this video last week and this past Sunday I sat down thought out what I needed to do, what was most important, when it made most sense to do it, and color-code my events based on work and life activities to quickly see what am I doing mostly during the week, work or personal. Gamechanger for me. Thank you, Leila! God bless you.
I know you probably won’t see this but I really appreciate you sharing your calendars and really being open and authentic! Thank you for such valuable stuff
Leila, I can sit here and listen to you talk about managing time all day long!!! it is so good and it is the number one thing I need to get a wrap on. Awesome video! Thank you so much for sharing
Layla, I really appreciate this video. This is something I’ve struggled with in my role and I didn’t know how to articulate it to the owners. I have been in this company since we were 5. Now we’re over 60 so I’ve spent time trying to balance hiring, building systems, training, strategizing, marketing, managing and maintenance. I never say no to my bosses and they don’t realize how much I do quietly which is totally my fault. Thanks for the wealth of advice and thoughts in this video. Definitely watching your videos from now on. Great value.
This video came to me as a suggestion on my home page. I am not disappointed. I've been using and trying to use a few individual concepts mentioned, but to hear it all in a complete package like this tailored to individual working styles is amazing.
I'm glad you and Alex are speaking on this. As a maker I used to get so frustrated that I was stuck in so many meetings discussing the work I just wanted to execute.
Thanks! As a maker preparing indeed is everything! Not preparing ruins my flow. Loved all your motivation video's especially not believing all your emotions or thoughts. 💕
Haven’t seen a video go so in depth on productivity. So much helpful information in just under 30 min. I immediately started taking down notes. Thank you so much.
Brilliant! Makes so much sense! I am a maker and am constantly interrupted with little needs and meetings! I am fantastic when I can do one thing at a time in large blocks.

You know what Leila, before you said you can't be a ceo and the talent at the same time, but you can be hybrid of a maker and a manager, what you say helps a lot because I didn't hear that before and knowing that make us learn quickly
I’m working solo, so I still do both, maker and manager work. I’ve heard Alex talk about it before, and I actually added a tag to my asana tasks this week. Where I can label a task maker, manager or learning time. This video had some great takes on how I better can decide how to tackle the week. Thanks Leila!
Phenomenal. I love the way you explained this. I came to the realization that I’ve really been struggling to divide the maker/manager activities and doing so will absolutely increase my productivity. And I have had a few realizations about friction pop into my head during this top that I definitely address right away. Thanks for this one!
thank you this really helped me understand how to be the most productive and I always wondered why I had to have so much time and struggle with meetings when doing things. I always scheduled a big block of time for focus needs and hated when classes, meeting, etc were in the middle and it completely messed up my focus/productivity. Changing my calendar right now
Scheduling from the bottom up is brilliant. I’m a maker and I start early. But if someone wants to meet at 10am it kills my entire day. I can’t get back into flow and I create crap.
Brilliant. This maker-manager-hybrid balance is such an amazing concept that we need to master in order to do exceptional work as a leader in this day and age.
This was a great video! The concrete examples of schedules & sharing the time blocks (4 hours blocks/15 min meetings, etc) was so helpful! Currently a Hybrid who struggles with how to prioritize the different aspects of my job & how to manage my time; this definitely gives me some direction to move in. Thanks!
Excellent tips, especially the one about removing friction being better than relying on sheer will power or determination. It's far easier to go with the grain than against it.
THIS is exactly what I have been looking for - just what I needed right now!! I can't even describe the amount of value in this video - Wow, Thank you so much!!❤ Really helps, I have so much respect for you! #rolemodel #buffertime #preparation - attack the week with violence, Love it!🫶🏼😂👌🏼
