    Ron knew more about marbles than anyone I know of. He took a lot of that knowledge with him. God Bless Steven Bahr for these videos, they are worth more than I can imagine.

    Nice marbles shown! Enjoyed Ron’s sharing of information. It really takes a lot of study and skill to identify each type and even then it seems it can be difficult. Have a great day👍

    Stephen Bahr it would be great if you added the makers name to the marbles in this video when the video flips to a close up. I had my heatons as Ravenswood lol when Chuck is doing the red ravens side by side I got confused lol. I think it would be an easy edit and add greatly to the video as a whole. Just my .02. Which isn't worth much lol. Thanks so much for these videos though they are a wealth of knowledge. I post them to Facebook regularly on the different groups. I bought a nice size collection and they were all seperated nice and neat and of course I thought I wouldn't have much of a problem getting them back where they belong..... But, that has been way harder than I ever thought it'd be! Still to this day, I go in & change them out from time to time, especially after watching these videos! But I seem to Mix them up even worse (if possible) when I mess with them! They look so much alike it's not funny!

    To my knowledge, the early way to achieve yellow was to put gold into the molten clear glass.later on yellow was obtained through other means of mixing chemicals and different substances.thus making yellow glass was not cost effective until later unless a batch of yellow scrap was found.just based on a couple of glass books I have read.including the art of glass

      Hi Justin, cool - I’ll have to look to see if I can locate those. I have a borrowed and expansive dug Ravenswood collection that I am studying . I plan on zeroing in on several marbles that were not discussed here in a future video.

    • @justinberry3991

      @Stephen Bahr cool I've been looking to ID it to make sure it is a Ravenswood and not another. The ones yall went into detail about sound like it is but there is discrepancies. I'm still showering the webs on details of it but keep coming up short. I don't know what the deal is with them but everyone passes them up and no body wants to explain them lol. I think they look great the way the light blue bands turn to goldish as they get deeper into the very dark red base. Thank you for any help!

    • @stephenbahrmarbles
      @stephenbahrmarbles  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Corene, no the furnace marbles came in around 9/16” - 5/8” . I have seen one or two that came in a little larger but nothing near 3/4” or over. It’s likely that yours are still Champions as they made plenty of big marbles . For 1” swirls Jabo and Alley are by far the most common.

    • @stephenbahrmarbles

      Vacor De Mexico also made a lot of swirls at 1” diameter.

      One thing about the red rose vs raven : the base glass on the rose is a solid opaque glass. Ravens have more texture in the base, and have more swirl coverage in general
