This made me cry. Him saying " where your going has gotta be better than where you been." If apollo never gave rocky that title shot he could have ended up like spider rico.

powerful scene. and i'm glad it was posted and I got to see it. I don't agree with it being taken out, but I kind of understand why - many viewers would not have seen the earlier movies and/or may not remember who spider was. this scene thrown in might derail the tone and direction of the movie a bit for those viewers.
The fact that Rocky no matter what remembers spider rico and the fact that he’s a no namer shows you that no matter what all the fame all the glory rocky at heart is still human....
yeah he basically took care of Rico in Rocky 6. Rocky knew he had nowhere to go so he just allowed him to work in the restaurant. At first he didnt even want Spider to pay and wants him to eat for free because he is Rocky's guest, but Spider is honorable enough to help ihe restaurant. Father Carmine also died of old age, so Spider took the role of the one blessing Rocky before his last fight.
I like the restaurant scenes with Spider in Rocky Balboa. " Oh Spider Rico can hit" - Rocky says, when girl working there states he does not look like a fighter ( Sorry girl, but actor playing Spider was boxer in real life). And Then Spider goes to work in kitchen because he wants to do something.I knew some people like him- needing help, and wanting to repay in some way, often they were afraid to ask for anything.

Shame this scene had to be cut. Spider was a much loved minor character from the Rocky universe. The scene also gave insight of the the humanity of the Rocky story timeline that appeals to generations of fans from the 1970's to present day. A mistake to leave out this scene.
My guess is that it was cut because of runtime or because it takes away the focus of Adonis' plot and his fight with Drago's son. It feels like it belongs to a Rocky movie but Rocky has now the mentor role like Mick did.
Sure as hell was a mistake. I couldn't care less if this was Michael B. Jordan's movie. You don't have Stallone delivering an emotional speech like this and then say in the editing room "ahhh y'know what? I don't think we need this. This is about Adonis." Like what the fuck Ryan Coogler?
" in the ring you got rules.... outside in the street.... You got nothing..." People will never know how hard those words hit me... Thank you for these incredible films Sly 😔
In the age of reboots, very few roles can never be duplicated. Stallone is Rocky Balboa. When he does that character, it’s like we all know him, not as a movie character but as someone we know from the neighborhood. This scene is a fantastic example of how Stallone just gives us iconic lines without even trying. How many great thought provoking lines has this franchise given us?
We're getting old guys. Beautiful and sad all at the same time. New ppl enter your lives while some who u knew since day one pass away. Stay humble. Love unconditionally
Stallone can really act when he wants to. Feels like he is really channeling the Rocky we know from the early movies, in his voice movements and attitude. As much as he lost a friend I think Rocky realizes that he could be up here in the box with nobody knowing who he was and no friends if things had not gone the way they did with his fights.
Before rocky even said it I also thought, man spider rico was the last one still around from the old days and even hes gone now. Poor rocky outlived em all. Almost makes me wonder if its better to die a little earlier and still be surrounded by your friends and family than to outlive them all and die alone.
I don't know, you don't really appreciate what is like to be alive until you are about to go. But I don't have any friends to understand that feeling of wanting to die earlier to not see all the people you knew gone until you are the last one.
Man almost every deleted scenes from Creed are so emotional and deserve recognition. This has to be in the top, especially for Rocky fans since we remember Spider very well despite how little he was in the show.
I'm from Philly, now living in Phoenix. BUT, I return home twice a year, my folks and a lot of my family still lives in Philly and close by. My mother 86, my dad is 92. I must be the only 65 year old with both parents alive, yet somewhat fragile. These movies all have heart, I dare say even Rocky V does. I watch these movies and they always bring me home even when I am in Phoenix. And, I do have to say, that these movies, and perhaps having lived in Philadelphia, has kept me in the shape I am. I have always worked out and even at 65 years old I am still in shape. Health and emotional connection to where you were born, who you are, and who others are and why we should care about them is so important. Cheers.
Rock is truly one of a kind... There will never be another. All the characters from this franchise are so freakin legendary... Adrian, Apollo, Paulie, Mickey, Drago, Tony (who is underrated actually, he was like Apollo's conscience as his trainer, but then was like Apollo's heart and soul as Rocky's trainer), and even Spider... What a legacy. Makes ever scene like this feel so gigantically impactful. Legend and Icon are almost not big enough words for Sly.
I feel like there is genuine emotion in his words to Spider. As though he's (Stallone, not Rocky) speaking about an era of his own life that has come and gone, leaving only the memories to sort through as the people he knew become less and less abundant on this Earth. The pain in his face is real, and it's one that any of us who live long enough will experience.
Its only one franchise where i have seen continuity of life right from Rocky 1973 till present....One of the most life moving stories....this will be remembered always....what beautiful charcters right from the beginnign...Adrian, Rocky, Paulie, Appllo, coach
“Life hits you with these cheap shots and low blows you take them and move on, but we feel sorry for ourselves and say yeah yeah but we didn’t do that.” Damn, Stallone with another great quote!
The worst part about being young and seeing icons in their prime when you're a little kid is that wow factor never disappears when you grow up. You still remember Rocky, Spider and Apollo when your parents and your aunts and uncles and grandparents are telling you all about these characters they loved since before you were born. That magic doesn't disappear even when the actors who brought that magic to life get old and sometimes they can't bring that same magic anymore before they disappear. It hurts a lot more when they still do have that power up until the bitter end. Thanks for everything, Carl. Rest in power.
Rocky was the only one who went and paid his respects. He never forgotten. What a genuine soul Rocky is. When I die someday, I wish one person can say something like that about me. Rocky you have a heart of gold🥇
Spider was also shown working in the kitchen of Adrian's in Rocky Balboa (2006) Rock took care of spider all his adult life, thats a real friend, and it all started with a underground boxing match in the 70's.
I teared up watching this scene. What a shame it was not included in the movie. This is why I believe Rocky is the greatest cinematic character ever and its scenes like this that make us love and never tire of him.
On one hand, I get why it was cut, since the name of the movie is "Creed", but anyone who's made this journey of nearly fifty years with Rocky Balboa should see this scene.
this always makes me tear up because Rocky has tried so hard tokeep his emotions buried. it shows how human he is. I never saw my father cry once until grandpa and grandma passed on from old age, he broke down during his speech at grandmas funeral service and the first time seeing him cry? He tried so hard to mask his emotional pain but he stepped down and my mom finished his speech for him. Dad introduced me to the rocky movies when I was a kid, little did i know back then that he struggled with alcohol, he never was abusive or lashed out in anger when having a few beers. but i still remember to this day when i got into drinking, and a friend and i were watching the rocky movies in my room and we were socially drinking(way before the rocky balboa movie of course or the creed movies. and i was drunk and my dad came in my room because he heard we were watching rocky 2 and he went on and on as we were watching... and i told him to shut up that we were trying to watch the movie and i still remember to this day how rejected his face was.... then my drinking progressed to the point of downing straight vodka, and mom and dad tried hard to have hope... Dad and I went to see Rocky Balboa in theaters, his treat, to try and show me there was more in life then booze, i remember when we both were cheering when rocky was beating the crap out dixon the current champ, everyone was in the theater lol. But I loved how rocky did not win due to split decision but he was able to walk away with his pride knowing even though he lost, he still had heart to fight one more time. now? i watch rocky when drinking and i can see how my dad was huge into the rocky movies. i hope someone i can ask his and moms forgiveness for my recklessness when i was blacked out drunk and attacked dad.... so if anyone reads this? please pray for me to seek forgiveness because i have not seen my parents since 2016, they moved away, mom made sure i was not able to message her on facebook, so i pray for help before.... they pass away.... my other grandma passed away while i was not around back in 2019. Found out she died from cancer and i was so distraught because i was hoping to see her again someday, but then... in the afterlife I will see her again.
The Fact That Rocky Came To a Funeral of a man who Mostly Hated him,as only one there Schowed that Rocky Balboa was and (Maybe when he is not dead in creed 3) IS The True Champ Who Always Fighting with his heart
There are so many deleted scenes throughout this series I wish would’ve made it into the final movies… this scene here would’ve meant a lot to us long time fans!
How Stallone didn’t win an Oscar for Creed, man. The way he inhabits Rocky so completely as a character, agigng him the same as he himself has aged in real life - a master class in acting. I hope he gets an Oscar before his career comes to an end. Such a class-A actor. Rocky is deservedly one of the greatest characters of cinematic history.
Great scene, but the background music was too loud imo. I get that it adds to the mood/atmosphere of the sadness, but I think it is trying to oversell something that doesn’t need oversold.
Everyone in Rocky's life has Died except his Son and Adonis Everyone he loved is gone his wife, his Best Friend Paulie, his old Friends Apollo and Tony and his Old Trainer Mickey and ev4en Spider Rico that's actually Really sad i feel bad for Rocky
I see some people saying that not having Stallone return as Rocky in Creed III is the right decision. And while I understand some points being made, I feel that it's a missed opportunity to give Rocky Balboa an ultimate send-off. Here's my pitch: "In Creed III, Rocky's health deteriorates and has a heart attack that leaves him bedridden in the hospital. Knowing he has little time left, Rocky decides to leave everything to his son, wishing for him to do with it as he sees fit and tells him that both he and his mother were the best parts of his life. Against the hospital's advice, Rocky signs out and gets Donnie to take him to the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art to make one final climb to the top, despite how difficult it is for him. There, both he and Donnie sit as the sun sets in the background. Rocky dies and Donnie mourns his passing, whispering that he will see him on the other side some day." You can place this kind of scene anywhere in the film. At the end, at the middle, or in the 3rd act before the big fight. But I feel that this is the last thing that the character of Rocky has to offer, 'his death'. After all, he's pretty much the last of the old school left to go.
Anything Sly does outside of Rocky and Rambo are like B-movies to me. I always thought the others are just paycheck, but I feel Mr. Stallone's heart and soul in rocky and Rambo. Thanks for the upload.
Even if you aren't a boxer or fighter, this is still sad for men, for humans in general. I'm still young, but I look forward to being old, just not the part where I see my mentors pass away in droves and my peers passing from health complications and accidents
the true Rocky series junkies truly appreciate this even the deleted footage . The fact they used the original guy from Rocky 1 in the Rocky Balboa movie was very cool. Those few folks that attended the funeral was art imitating life because many folks end up alone and those handful of people become your family.
Yeah he only had a small role in Rocky 1 and Rocky 6... I think he could have made an appearance in Rocky 3 as a sparring partner since Rocky was training for an aggressive Clubber Lang.
Very intense scene, especially when Rocky looks around and only sees a few people there, not many people showed up for Spiders funeral shows how many people Rocky seen come and go in his life
Man can this guy write. I mean it's like when Mickey was talking to him and says you know as we get older we start losing more and more of our friends and we keep losing. It's a privilege to have lived for as long as we can saying goodbye to friends is the hard part.

Having left this beautiful scene out of Creed II speaks to the fact that Stallone definitely lost control of the saga and that the stupid people who took control of ''Rocky'' gradually took away the essence of even Rocky himself. I can see why it was dropped as it's a fairly 'stand alone's scene they could lose to keep the pacing but it works well in isolation.
This deleted scene is so heartfelt; gotta give credit to whomever did/does the musical score for all of these sad and/or uplifting Rocky scenes.
I really wish Rocky was my friend, you can never find anyone like him 😢
that soundtrack...man...got me crying over here
Tough to watch
" in the ring you got rules.... outside in the street.... You got nothing..." People will never know how hard those words hit me... Thank you for these incredible films Sly 😔
Nice tribute to what was the first ever scene in a Rocky movie.
This would make a grown man cry ever since Mickey's death from Rocky 3. Such a helluva actor! Thank u Stallone! Rocky Rambo! Ur Over The Top! 💪 🏆
R.I.P Spider Rico💔: This Movie Scene Breaks My Heart Like Crazy With This Music In The Background 🙏😔😰
He is slowing his words while crying that made me cry too.
What about Thunderlips? Isn't he still alive?
I don't know, you don't really appreciate what is like to be alive until you are about to go. But I don't have any friends to understand that feeling of wanting to die earlier to not see all the people you knew gone until you are the last one.
Such a sad emotional scene especially with the sad music 🎶 in the background, this would make a grown man cry! 😭
The older you get the more you lose. Scenes like this are always so powerful.
This was beautifully written and delivered. Bravo.
The scene we never knew we needed . Thanks whoever posted this
Man almost every deleted scenes from Creed are so emotional and deserve recognition.
Test audiences said this scene was too depressing so they removed it from the final cut
Woke Kids 100%. Idiots.
Boo!!!!!!!! (to the test audiences)
Rock been through so much man, it surprises me how much spirit and love he has
Jesus I had actual tears coming out of my eyes.
Me too 😢😢
I feel like there is genuine emotion in his words to Spider.
I wish when you buy a Blu-ray you can pick an extended version where they add in these deleted scenes. This was powerful.
I really relate to the sentiment of what he said. That hit hard.
OMG… how was this cut? This is real life!!! Thank you for posting…
This is so heartbreakingly beautiful
Rocky was the only one who went and paid his respects. He never forgotten. What a genuine soul Rocky is. When I die someday, I wish one person can say something like that about me. Rocky you have a heart of gold🥇
Spider was also shown working in the kitchen of Adrian's in Rocky Balboa (2006) Rock took care of spider all his adult life, thats a real friend, and it all started with a underground boxing match in the 70's.
*70s
@@maazshaikh5996 many thanks, it has been fixed
I teared up watching this scene. What a shame it was not included in the movie. This is why I believe Rocky is the greatest cinematic character ever and its scenes like this that make us love and never tire of him.
For the life of me I will never understand why these type of scenes are cut from a movie.
It makes me sad that no one came to his funeral but no matter what Rocky was always there for him and in the first movie, RIP spider Rico
What sad scene. A scene many will experience as we get older and our friends and family pass on.
This deleted scene was on the extras of the Blu Ray but without the music. When you add the music it makes it even more powerful
Spider Rico in spirit: Remember Rocky, you got lucky.
On one hand, I get why it was cut, since the name of the movie is "Creed", but anyone who's made this journey of nearly fifty years with Rocky Balboa should see this scene.
Well said. Rocky’s been by my side since I was 8.
I can relate to this scene. I spoke at a funeral for a loved one, where there was hardly anyone there. This scene really hits hard for a lot of us.
The desert place Rocky talks about in this scene is where he took Adonis to train for the second fight against Drago.
The old school theme in the background hits my heart
Spider deserved so much better. Thank god Rocky was a good friend to him.
this always makes me tear up because Rocky has tried so hard tokeep his emotions buried. it shows how human he is.
There are so many deleted scenes throughout this series I wish would’ve made it into the final movies… this scene here would’ve meant a lot to us long time fans!
bro watching all his homies go one by one,i would have called it quit it if i didnt have a son like him
How Stallone didn’t win an Oscar for Creed, man.
Spider Rico was where it all began
Everyone in Rocky's life has Died except his Son and Adonis Everyone he loved is gone his wife, his Best Friend Paulie, his old Friends Apollo and Tony and his Old Trainer Mickey and ev4en Spider Rico that's actually Really sad i feel bad for Rocky
I see some people saying that not having Stallone return as Rocky in Creed III is the right decision. And while I understand some points being made, I feel that it's a missed opportunity to give Rocky Balboa an ultimate send-off.
Here's my pitch:
"In Creed III, Rocky's health deteriorates and has a heart attack that leaves him bedridden in the hospital. Rocky dies and Donnie mourns his passing, whispering that he will see him on the other side some day."
You can place this kind of scene anywhere in the film.
I think they cut this out because we never really got to know Spider that much
Plus it puts too much focus on Rocky, rather than Creed. This would have been perfect in a Rocky Seven (which is an idea being thrown around).
Rocky VII?? What would be the main point of that movie?
What a Beautiful feeling..Thank you so much Sweetheart..you are so Awesome and amazing..❤❤❤
Very emotional scene, for all of us Rocky fans.
I'll always remember spider threatening to whoop rocky when rocky wouldn't let him wash the dishes to repay the free meals he was given.
I don't think there has been an actor that can pull those heart strings like Stallone. What an amazing actor.
Spider Rico was a great friend and rival of Rocky's.
Scenes like this make me realize again and again what a fantastic actor Sly is.
The background music always take me back.
This probably would've made it into another Rocky movie. Good scene but I understand why they deleted this
Why? Why did they delete it?
Shampolie xx creed movie
AmazingContent ohhhhhhh
As a man who has buried a wife and child-you never forget the ones you loved most-you just learn to live without them.Life is a journey-you never know what will happen to change your course, but you have to move on-it’s what those you lost would want of you.👍
Rocky always showed his opponents the respect they deserved.
Thats the saddest part of getting old. You will see some of your friends gone before you.😢
Man that music kills me every time I hear it
Having left this beautiful scene out of Creed II speaks to the fact that Stallone definitely lost control of the saga and that the stupid people who took control of ''Rocky'' gradually took away the essence of even Rocky himself.
It's a real shame what the new generations are capable of doing wrong.
The Music is so emotional and always remind me to the beginning of the Rocky Movies 😢😢
