Rocky Balboa Deleted Scene - Being Uncomfortable (2006) - Sylvester Stallone Movie HD
Rocky Balboa comes out of retirement to step into the ring for the last time and face the heavyweight champ Mason 'The Line' Dixon.
Even the deleted scenes are full of gold
You're absolutely right.
It's always nice to remember how actually great of a character Rocky is.
You know a movie is good when even the deleted scenes are great!
gigel008 even making up scene with the material of this movie in my mind is great
Why they delete this it’s a good scene
Would be better without the fight scene xD
Absolutely right!
that movie was great. I recorded the whole speech from Rocky to Robert in my head.
"I'm kind of a joke that backfired" great line.
What does that mean?
Darius Coman the first movie the fight between him and Apollo was supposed to be a joke fight, but of course Rocky practically won the fight so it backfired on Apollo.
Also like to think that rocky saw his life a sa joke, his nickname as a joke, he was seen as a joke and they gave this joke a platform, a shot and the joke backfired on them because he turned out to be no joke
im gonna use that line.
@@dariuscoman9621 Did you even watch ROCKY before asking that question?
You know Rocky really shows how to deal with emotional teens and brothers and sister. He respected that kid through out the whole conversation and never lost his cool
Yeah but if you followed the series that’s generally the characters personality, simple minded if you will but Very good natured and forgiving sort of guy,, not a lot bothered him.. in this film it kept that going.. and he shows that he is wiser as he aged.
So rocky taught himself to be comfortable with being uncomfortable
Jeff cavalier ripped that off
This is the first time in the entire series when Rocky even acknowledges his father, they should have left this in.
He is mentioned 3 times in the movies
Once in Rocky during the ice rink scene
Once in Rocky V during dinner with Tommy Gunn
And this deletes scene
"You like dogs?"
"Dogs?"
*Does handsign like a mouth* "Dogs"
I love Rocky
Dogs
Stallone should have kept this scene in the movie. I've seen all the Rocky movies countless times, but the way he spoke about his past here and HOW he spoke about it was really special.
That’s why people love Rocky. The humility and honesty most real people don’t have. ‘Freak luck’ and ‘A joke that backfired.’ Not many movies have deleted scenes that will stay with you.
Rock handled that epicly just ignore the pointless rebellion lol
Rocky always had patient.
Rocky is such a humble, good soul. He is always looking out for others, it’s never about him.
They try to make out Rocky isn't very clever (can't read etc) but all the advice he gives is genius. Such a fantastic character.
A life of hard lessons has a way of imparting wisdom, as it leaves you knowing what paths NOT to take.
Being clever and being wise are two different things.
Rocky has always been a street poet. This scene encapsulates that perfectly, and also foreshadows Rocky's relationship with Adonis. Hopeful for an extended cut that includes this.
Who’s Adonis ?
@@toosweet6046 Adonis Creed, son of Apollo Creed. Watch Creed and Creed 2, you'll get it.
@@rickylyon3846 so I was told can’t believe I never heard of this... I’ll be watching this weekend
@@toosweet6046 Aw, bro, Im excited for you!
Should've kept this in. Really good acting by both, and it gives insight into how the two connected.
In the new movie Creed, they show Rocky moving onions and boxes from that same van into his restaurant's basement with the help of Adonis. So I thought that was nice.
Chr!s David v
what happened to his new girlfriend in rocky balboa in creed ?...thanks
Wayne Doyle Marie wasn’t his girlfriend, just a friend. She became the hostess at his restaurant in Balboa. In Creed she’s alluded to when he says to Adonis “the girl says you wanna talk to me?”
tennisdude52278 she wasn’t in Creed II, but yea I don’t think a relationship ever came out of that
@@tennisdude52278 The girl is the hostess who was in this movie and Creed II
It's scenes like this that really bring another level of endearment & poignancy to the character of Rocky Balboa, bringing another element of heartwarming appreciation, admiration & empathy to a person who was already filled with compassion, understanding, patience, forgiveness & humanity. And Stallone played Rocky to perfection as no one else could have, capturing the pathos, regret, hope, sentimentality & various heartfelt reflections of that beloved fictional icon in such an amazingly compelling & captivating fashion. Rocky is immortal, & Stallone gets all the credit. Legendary!
Man,I love Sly! You can see his heart beating throughout these movies, the 1st and Balboa especially!
So far, of all the deleted scenes in this movie that I've seen, none of them should have been cut, in my opinion. Not a single one contained any waste, and really added to the story. Especially the extended version of his conversation with Paulie, behind the restaurant, after the meat packing company let him go. That was such a vital scene. And now I'm seeing this one, and it totally adds a missing element to their relationship. I'd love to see a director's cut with these scenes added back in,
I keep reading about how some scenes shouldn't have been cut. But the reality of it is that a movie must fit within a certain time format. Otherwise, it would've easily lasted three hours.
@@ADAPTATION7 Yep, all Rocky movies tend to be about hour and fifty minutes to about two hours and ten minutes.
There are so many deleted scenes in this franchise, that they can make a movie out of these scenes.
interestingly enough, i think i am in the minority who enjoyed balboa more than Creed. Balboa for me revisited what made the 1st one so emotionally powerful. I could relate to the "demons in the closet" rocky still had, and his performance in the ring was so believable that it made say alright i could believe a 60 year old man can go toe to toe with the heavyweight champ lmao it really did. I guess the main difference was Balboa had me more emotionally invested bc we had 5 movies to fall in love with the character and oh my goodness the training montage in this movie gets you pumped! and it's so hilarious. "To beat this guy... You need speed, you don't have it LMAO.
Balboa: More memorable + emotional impactful for me. I will concede that Creed is the better well made movie
I thought Balboa was fantastic and a big part of it was because of the legacy it had built up -- we knew these characters, we were seeing them face new challenges, etc.. Creed, though connected to this world, is mostly new characters, and a relatively fresh start, so it has a lot less impact on me than Balboa, and it's why I'll always vote Balboa over Creed.
That said, Creed is still a fantastic movie, and tied for my favorite movie of 2015. So it's no slouch in any way.
I never watched previous movies of Rocky, but I enjoyed Rocky Balboa as much as others.
I liked Balboa more than Creed as well
all of the "relaxed" poses count.... you're not relaxed - you're flexing your entire body, or at least you should be if you're doing it correctly
THANK YOU! Creed was overrated
here you go the italian stallion. Apollo Creed vs the Italian Stallion. Sounds like a damn monster movie!!!!
Kinda wish this scene was in the movie, thought it was kinda off how they ended up at the dog shelter so quick
'Everybody got lumps, its a lumpy life' its so true sometimes we get lost in our own problems we forget everybody has them.
I want rocky live 1000 years and make more rocky series 😪
One of the most underrated actors of all time
Lol
This is a beautiful scene, and Stallone's acting here in particular reminds me a lot of how he portrayed Rocky in the first two films back in the 70's. This one should've been left in.
I could chat with Rocky all day. He's got that simple complexity about him. Someone who sees a misty ocean in a cup of coffee.
Well put, James...
I like this scene. a lot you can learn from it. They should've kept it.
I hope Rocky gets re:- released with all deleted scenes💪
Yes, ... THIS!
I could always see more Rocky 😀
“Mothers should be goof-proof”👍
Yet another great scene that ended up on the cutting room floor.
This movie could, and shouldm have had all scenes included with an additional 4 hrs added and the movie would still be too short.
This movie was so good had tons of heart and soul
Rocky 6 is my second favourite Rocky behind the original. Absolutely jam packed full of heart.
I loved Rocky Balboa it's one of my favourite Rocky's probably after IV , I never understood the criticism it got.
Mike Hunt 5? It totally sucked !
IV means 4.
Soap せっけん lol. ok four wasnt great either !
Daveyboy _ Why? (I know it's an opinion.)
Soap せっけん the whole movie was a montage . driving montage. and two training montages. then u get Bridgette Neison who couldnt act her way out of a paper bag. " u have this belief that we are so vewy vewy bad. and u . are so vewy vewy good " Jesus ! then u had the 5 mins with the robot . i saw it in the theatre in 85 the day it opened. I thought it was good then but i was 15 . Now Rocky Balboa and Creed were good films !
Very underrated aspect of this movie is how Rocky takes Steps under his wing. Especially given the fact that he and his own son's relationship is strained at this point.
This scene feels very relevant to me. I'm still waiting on that "freak luck"...
Quit waiting, go out and get it. I'm speaking to the both of us.
Been 5 years boys, so what did you go out and get?
@@danedgar1539
I have done nothing and deserve nothing.
_Yet, I have everything I could ever want~_
(Well, except for maybe a nice watch. Heh heh.)
This movie has the same guy that played Spider Rico in #1, but he didn't think Little Marie was pretty enough and substituted another actress in her role. I don't think that was right as the original character was really excited about playing the part again.
What an awesome scene! Why the hell was this deleted!??
I was going through a rough patch at the time n looking at it now this would have hit me like a sledgehammer!
Such an underrated movie. Stallone was very deserving of the best actor nomination.
And he should've won it. I mean Mark Rylance was good in Bridge of Spies but that really should've been Sly's award.
Love every deleted scene.
ROCKY is the best. For a man who took shots to the head for a living. He is a really smart and wise man.
We need an uncut version of all Rocky movies
I enjoyed this film. In my opinion this should have been the one that bowed the franchise.
Kid is a pretty good actor here.
I love the Rocky Movies
I loved the Rocky series, but, loved "Rocky Balboa" the best.
Rocky: Always the street poet.
salt of the earth
Rocky, always the street poet👍
this scene shouldnt have been deleted its a beautiful scene
Rocky represents All that’s Good about America..The character may of been fictional but what he represents is Real👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️👍👍👍👍That deleted scene was pure gold,Sly Stallone is a movie star but a very underrated actor👍👍
This scene would've been better if Rocky was talking too himself rather than rebellious nitwit
Perfect Philadelphia, he says going down into the concrete
Thanks to video joiner software, this scene is in my copy.
damn it, 8 years ago... time is running !!!
They always cut beautiful scenes from movies.
The way this is shot reminds me of the sopranos
This movie had all the characters set up for Rocky 7! Steps would have been the boxer with Rocky training and all the others forming the support team. i was suprised that this story line ended abruptly in Creed.
Sly ended it with this film. (so he thought) It was Ryan Coogers vision to do Creed with that storyline. He approached Sly and pitched him the idea.
Personally I thought there was a good amount of continuity between this film and Creed. Same restaurant, same house, etc. Rocky had more attention in Creed than Mick did in Rocky. Plus Rocky really needs to be all alone when Adonis turns up.
Definitely a lumpy life. Great scene.
Mother's should be goof proof.
People who made it didn’t wait around for freak luck, and freak luck didn’t bring them their success. They worked as hard, if not harder, than anyone else around, and when freak luck knocked on their door, they were ready. If you aren’t working hard, you aren’t ready to meet the challenge if and when freak luck pays you a visit.
I love the rocky series
Rocky must use a lot of onions
ROCKY BALBOA
love you rock
Old and dying lonely. Sad story of musashi miyamoto
Rocky Balboa original cut was like 2 hours and 20 minutes, they had to cut it down to 1 hour and 30 almost due to publishers and stuff
like sand fleas or fire ants at boot camp...being uncomfortable
If they make an anniversary, Blu-ray, all these things need to be put back into the film
Steps kinda seems like Adonis personality wise
Who is this Adonis I keep reading about ...
@@toosweet6046 Adonis "Creed" does that ring the bell to you?
Theory: his dad is also apollo creed. On one of his many trips to Philadelphia to see his friend and one-time rival rocky, he ran into Marie and one thing led to another and then he split.
So sorry
They should not cut these scenes out.. I wanna see all of these in the movie
This scene was good, Steps showed more of an attitude in this
I don't know why they would delete that scene. It gave a lot about Rocky's character.
With ROCKY and ROCKY 2 Sylvester Stallone built Us All up ! But from Rocky 3 on he tore Us all down !
Homie look crazy with that hair in the front
very good - If only not deleted...
rocky is my favorit moive
It's a lumpy life!
Woooow - The "Adrian's" need a lot of Onions!
A great scene I wish was in the movie. Why did they cut this? It would have been great right before they go to the shelter. Oh well maybe someday they can re release this with the cut scenes in it.
Love Rock!!
When the deleted scenes are better than the movies
Is there an uncut version of Rocky Balboa?
Probably the last time Sly looked normal. All before his botox and plastic surgery messed his face up.
did anybody else notice it says est. 1995 but Adrian died 2002, and that's when Rocky started the restaraunt?
Stallone has said that Adrian started the restaurant and Rocky continued it after her passing
Adrian and Rocky must have started the restaurant sometime after Rocky V but before she died. If you remember in V, the scene outside of Mickie's boxing club, where Tommy Gunn convince Rocky to manage him, Rocky invites him to dinner at his house and says Adrian is a really good cook ...but she can be vicious with the garlic..... I think this was somewhat the basis behind starting up the restaurant.
Lucian Foster yes Adrian was still alive when Rocky started it and kept it going after her death in her memory and keep himself busy
Little Marie isn't working at the restaurant in Creed, I wonder how long she worked there before getting a different job.
We don't know that. We just didn't see her.
Is this the only time we hear about Rocky's parents
why to many scenes were cut off in this movie
Freak luck ! "Waiting for freak luck is for suckers " should have kept this scene in the movie
This should have been included.
How about a Rocky Pregual
Seeing a young Rocky getting started into boxing. Watching him win his 1 st ever fight. Young Mikey training him. I would definitely love to watch it
This is the Gold standard. Screw the Dollar.
What happened to this kid and his mom in creed?
They are not in Creed or Creed 2. I wish they were at least for a cameo scene to show they are still around but there is like 10 years between Rocky Balboa and Creed.
Benny232 I have a feeling we’ll hear from them again in the next rocky movie
one thing lasts and lasts and lasts:
Rocky is cool. I'm assuming Sly is too.
Dam ,you said something that touched my insides, I'm like dam he talking straight to me ,I'll never be a man, man stays in a little boys strap
Hey, 'Steps' ... Rocky say that getting his break was 'freak luck' ~ and he's right !
Apollo originally had decided to give an unkown 'snow white' contender a shot for the title and sat, with his manager and his promotor, going through a book t h i s thick with unknown local fighters ...
No fighter in the book caught his attention ... neither did 'Rocky Balboa' ~ it was his nickname 'The Italian Stallion' that did the trick ...
Had 'Rocky Balboa' been presented in the book simply as 'Rocky Balboa' ... Apollo would have continued flipping throuh the book until he'd get fed up and just pick one ...
Freak luck, kiddo ... but you are no fighter, you're not gonna get any freak luck ... listen to 'Rocky' : "don't wait around for no freak luck !"
