Me and my brother tried to get my mom into Breaking Bad, but my mom hated Skyler SO MUCH that she dropped the show entirely.
Meh, can't say I blame her, I tried to watch the show with my dad but he got so offended because of one s*x sence right at the beginning of the show (but it was covered with the blanket) and he got mad at me for watching the show.

@@long_dennis It was both per say, but I did manage finish the entire series without him knowing, including El Camino. Except for Better Call Saul I know it's popular and people say It's way better than Breaking Bad but I decided to ignore it because I didn't felt like going through all of the effort to binge watch it, besides it's a prequel so I don't think it's necessary to watch it.
Honestly I seen people hate on Skyler but the actress really did her acting job really well and that’s what made people hate her so much
Absolutely. The actress herself shouldn’t get hate (although she does from weirdos) but the character is meant to be hated. She did really really well at it and it made skylar the way she is. Skylar a bitch and props to the actress for doing so well xD
It’s the same thing with the actress who portrayed Lori Grimes in The Walking Dead. She knew how much her character was hated, and acted the part.
only her affair should be why she is hated. i cant see any reason you would hate her other than that. walter is so fucking lucky she didnt just rat him out and left with ted. she almost did but kept walter’s secret from their son and from the DEA

@@jameslough6329 she didnt leave mostly because of walter jr whos handicapped and would be sad if skyler were to leave walter. she understood this and stayed through with walter and stopped going with ted. she redeemed herself by the end when we look at what bullets she caught for walter.

It's annoying with Eve's dad cuz there are times you kinda get his point or feelings (cuz they tie back to caring for his wife and Eve) but he's just *butterfingers* with how he drops the ball

Because she isn't a Virgin anymore (Rex took her first) and the way he talks about it makes it sound like he really devalues her like for it as if she isn't pure anymore because of it and makes it out to sound like Mark is gracious to be with her despite that. Then he talks about how eves mom was a Virgin during their first time and how its important for a man for the woman to be one Then ending the conversation my putting his hand on Mark's shoulder saying that he's glad he understands. Then you see the next panel of Mark standing there frozen with a WTF look on his face. Pretty creepy discussion to be talking about your own daughter in that way so I wonder if they will keep it in the show. I'm writing this based off memory alone so maybe search for the original source in case.

I don't support Eve's dad but I get where he's coming from. He probably grew up superstitious and wanted to live a completely normal life and now his daughter has powers that could uproot everything he grew up to learn and all he lives by. He doesn't hate Eve's or her powers, he's scared of what they mean to him.
Honestly to me he's kind of a pussy. Haven't super heroes been around for like decades. He can't be stupid like this. His daughter is literally one of the strongest on earth but he's scared because he can't be the macho man bread winner for her

Nah he thought his baby died at birth and that Eve survived by some miracle yet treats her like dirty for being a bit odd. He was honestly a dick when he thought she didn't have powers.
He does everything wrong and is a piece of c*ap, but honestly, I wouldn´t take that gold apple either.
I´d be too afraid someone was gonna question where I got it. When poor/struggling people suddenly get a very expensive item to sell, your first thought isn´t superpowers (that would be bad in an entirely different way), but that they stole it. Besides, creating gold, you´re just a step away from basically printing your own money, and who knows what the government would do with that.
I can´t quite say Eve is mad with power, but she is definitely getting used to solving everything with a wave of her hand/snap of her fingers. (And it did bite her this last episode. And the one before...)
I could get that when she was younger but she just graduated high school and it is still the same shitty ass parent that doesn’t give a damn about Eve. He hasn’t changed at all

There is nothing to believe. There is too much evidence to deny that he was originally planned to be written as a Sith Lord. It's one of those few examples where the writers should have ignored the backlash of the fanbase.

Honestly, Qui-Gon was right, the ability to speak doesn’t make anyone intelligent; Jar Jar is stupid as hell and him being able to speak doesn’t make him smart.
Eve's parents aren't worth the pixels they're animated on. I never wanted to fight a cartoon mom and dad so badly, especially after seeing her back story. They should see her as a survivor, dang it!

The thing about eves dad is that he has valid reasoning, he’s just being shitty about it. He’s letting his own pride and values control his life, which is bad and good. He’s right in certain aspects when it comes to eve’s powers, her just throwing a golden apple in his face doesn’t solve anything, if anything it creates more issues; which she never thinks about. It’s becoming a recurring thing where she refuses to listen, uses her powers for something outside of the box, and it ends up backfiring because she didn’t actually think about that was outside the box.
Not to mention how creepy he is in the comics where to talks to Mark about her /her mom's virginity

Having rewatched breaking bad a couple times I cam to the realisation that Skyler (or whatever the spelling of her name is) actually wasn’t that bad and it’s fair enough for her to react in the way that she did and if anything Walter is the character that should be hated because every problem in the series stemmed from his ego
Oh from a detached and IRL point of view that's absolutely right but the show does 2 things very well simultaneously. It takes the mild mannered Walter and slowly turns him into a drug kingpin in a way that makes the viewer sympathise with him and believe he's justified (until you realise he never was and was always a bad guy deep down)
While giving the viewer the fantasy journey of living the gangster life and primarily viewing it through Walter's eyes. Skylar criticism and outrage is framed as being annoying and for the viewer she is spoiling our fun...its only around S4 that you start to see how clever the show has been it has literally been convincing us that a spiteful angry and petty man who has turned himself into a cold murderous and manipulative drug baron is the hero and is upset wife is the bitch...
We are supposed to be conned into loving Walt and hating Slylar for holding him back....when in truth she is absolutely correct and Walt is an absolute piece of shit lol
You forgot how Skyler Stupidly gave part of the money they needed to flee to Ted so that he wouldn’t lose the business knowing that he was actually doing mindless spending with it instead
It wasn’t stupid Ted refused to pay the irs which would’ve resulted in its agents looking at the business which could’ve resulted in them looking at Walt’s business as both were “cooking the books” if I remember correctly

Tara is an interesting pick. There are quite a few versions of her, from good to snake. I don´t remember Judas Contract that well, but yeah, I think that was the worst I´ve seen her.

I hated Skylar the first watch through of breaking bad. Second watch through, I actually felt bad for her and understood. Skylar put up with ALOT and most women would have left.
