The rules for canopies and umbrellas are put in place BY THE COUNTY, not the city, so make sure you get mad at the right people if it bothers you.

What was the first restaurant that you hit up when you got there?
Best thing to know is how to drive on by. Head south past the airport and it gets so much better.

It's in Little River SC May 18 - 19.
Favorite time to visit has to be September. A lot of those restrictions are lifted, especially the ones restricting dogs. Our two go everywhere with us. We have a special puppy stroller for them even. It's just more convenient to take them along instead of keeping them cooped up in the RV. We know when they're getting hot and keep with us a water mister to cool them down. And plenty of chilled puppy water too.
September and October are our favorite months here! Less crowded and great weather unless there's a hurricane.

Never knew there were so many rules. Especially the digging ones. Many years ago when my sons were teenagers they dug out a jacuzzi. Definitely deeper than 2 feet. 😬
It's a more recent rule. People were getting hurt and the city's equipment (trucks etc) was getting damaged by holes not filled in. I've also read it's bad for sea turtles during nesting season which is May - Oct.

the rules are long enough to choke on lol for sure. still in need of beach goers restroom facilities. they are almost nonexistant in the boardwalk area. be nice if they were put in. since the grand pavilion was torn down. there is little or none. nice video and pretty day on the beach carmen. thank you. Larry
If they are going to add shops like market common, I would hope there would be some restrooms. Market common has several public restrooms.
I bought a neces Flappy cover thing that is secured by the sand and only two poles in the front, but all four corners are filled with sand, extremely safe shelter from the sun. We saw a bunch of these last year down at Curry Beach. It seemed that everybody was going to these because they were safer and easier to put up and take down quickly.
Are these allowed there? There are absolutely no sharp edges of any kind in any of the pieces of equipment. Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks.

Hi there, Are there any rules about sheashelling in Myrtle Beach?
I'm not aware of any but that doesn't mean there aren't some. You're not supposed to pick up live sand dollars but if they're already dead it's OK.

As u know, I am moving to Carolina Forest tomorrow. Would it be easier to just Uber to the beach versus driving down and looking all over for a parling space and then paying for it? How much more expensive do you think it would be to Uber down versus paying for parking?
If you plan to go to the beach often, you should look into getting a nonresident Myrtle Beach parking pass. I think it runs about $100 for the year. And then you can park as much as you want. Ubers are unreliable in this area so it's hard to depend on them to get around.

Carmen and Brian, the tent cover is called Neso tent cover. I bought it on Amazon last year. Is this allowed? It is extremely safe. All four corners have bags and you fill them with sand the beach sand and that's what stabilizes it. It only has two poles on the front which are have no sharp edges. Everyone seem to have went with those last year at Curry Beach, they were all over the beach. Please let me know as soon as possible if these are acceptable in Myrtle Beach and where they have to be placed as far as the lifeguard area thank you.
We mentioned every single rule the city of Myrtle Beach has in the video regarding shading devices. Anything that is not the umbrella that is the measurements described would not be allowed during the dates mentioned. In the off-season it might be allowed but it would have to be further back as mentioned in the video. That said, we can only convey the rules, we have no idea how strictly they enforce them. Is smoking allowed on the beach, amother thing only canvas rafts with cord all the way around allowed in ocean
I think surfside beach is the only one with a law against smoking on the beach. In Myrtle Beach and Horry County they can cite you for dropping a cigarette butt however. Thanks for sharing about the rafts. Makes sense, anything else would deflate. We only use body boards for that reason.

I was at Myrtle beach last week. The rule about thong type bathing suits is not enforced and would be very difficult to monitor. I have never seen so many but cheeks. Lots of barely covered boob's. One lady was all but naked. Saw some burnt buts as well.
You are right - it's not enforced, at least not consistently.
Can you have a nicotine vape on the beach. I know its a wierd question but i half to ask
I can't say for sure - smoking is prohibited and usually where it is prohibited so is vaping. But I don't see vaping specifically listed.
