ICE FISHING Mississippi River for JUMBO Perch!

On today’s episode of Wisconsin fisherman I headed South to find good ice! Jordan had the fan boat ready and the fish wanted to eat! Most perch came on the tip-Downs which was really fun! I was jigging with a Pro Grade Tungsten Acme #3 along with a Kastmaster DR 3/32 on the jawjacker.

Great video reminds me of fishing Munuscong Bay on the St. Mary's river. Setting up just off the pencil reeds you can still see sticking through first ice.

It’s not as bad as you’d think it will only break though 4” or less and that stuff refreezes pretty quick

How does that Engel bait cooler work in the cold temps? Does it freeze?

It freezes yes but you can put some grease around the seal and that helps the freezing
