@@brandonhall2904 Previously non-law abiding citizen here. They certainly are a thing, companies sell tech with see through plastic for sale in prisons. I still have a pair of skullcandy over-ear headphones I bought... at another time in my life. There are TVs, cassette players (which I still have as well), portable radios, typewriters, tablets, and more. The point of the see through plastic is to make it easier for guards to inspect them for contraband, both when they enter the facilities and during random searches. Most of the tech is quite low quality sadly.
@@brandonhall2904 They're clear so that they can't be used to smuggle stuff into the prisons. They're also the reason why you can still buy new cassette players, because CDs weren't allowed in prisons for a long time. So one manufacturer kept producing cassette players, and also sold them to different vendors who rebranded them and sold them outside of prisons. There's also a US prison tech laptop, some other youtube channels got their hands on a few of them and had to modify them quite a bit to get them running, because they're locket to a specific brand of SSD (that you can't get anywhere) and of course the prison removed the SSDs before selling them. I once sold a PS2 on ebay, the buyer was in prison and I had to give him the shipping number and a few other things in advance so he could tell the guards what was in the package. I basically sent him a photo of the shipping label. Everything worked out fine and he got his PS2. And yes, I am not from the US, so this obviously wasn't a US prison. Og's know for cheap brand-new tech, Walmart is the place to go. I remember when I was younger and whenever my mom wanted to buy video games for us, she always chose Walmart as her number one choice because of how cheap they were considering how much value they offered.
Walmart usually sells game like $5-$10 less than everywhere else. I'd normally buy games from Walmart because of it and they have a pretty good collection of clearance games sometimes for pretty cheap
I do Door Dash, Uber Eats and Instacart. Walmart in my area only delivers through Uber Eats and Spark. Target delivers through pretty much every delivery service there is except Spark, as Walmart owns that.
Walmart clearly wins out. Austin actually got Walmart branded products while Matt got name brand products for most of the items and if you think about the small Bluetooth speaker, Matt talked about using it at the beach and about it having low volume, well the beach and being outdoors does get a lot louder than inside, so that would not work.
As someone who has been employed by target for 12ish years, the tech has always been bad. Also target circle and circle 360 are different things. Circle is just coupons, 360 is the delivery service you have to pay a subscription just like Walmart plus
I have an old car with only a radio and cd player. I bought one of those fm transmitters for my phone and use it for 2 years now and can listen to spotify and google maps. It's cheap and works perfect.
what kind of car do you have? i also have an old car (2002 camry) and there are bluetooth boxes you can plug directly into the factory radio. your phone pairs to the box and audio gets played through the radio and speakers.
@@LChineze I drive an old Smart. But i will get a newer car soon. I didn't want to invest much, so the fm transmitter works fine right now. Thank you for the tip anyway. I keep that in mind for the future.

Walmart+ is a good deal overall. Streaming access, $0.05-$0.10 off per gallon of gas, free shipping (one day shipping normally) plus grocery delivery service all in one.
I’m an Uber eats delivery driver. They sent us Walmart deliveries. Plus DoorDash used to in the past, too. My opinion is to tip maybe $1/mile drive plus $1-$5. If you’re ordering several bags worth, and especially if you’re adding heavy things like 40pack waters (worst done when delivering to apartments and hotels) then consider that and be a little generous. I don’t necessarily encourage a 10% tip on your order for stuff (even more so with tech orders!) Delivery drivers just want fair. And if they are 1099 contractors, they won’t accept your orders if the pay doesn’t at least cover $1-2/mile unless they’re delivering. So just keep this in mind :) this goes for restaurant deliveries, too!
I just got a couple of those Onn 4k streaming boxes for my parents and I am fairly impressed by them. My sister has the Firestick and I don't particularly care for them because you can't cast to them like you can with Google TV. And it's only $20 for the 4k version, and it lets you remap the buttons so you're not stuck with the streaming services they get paid to say you should be shortcutting.
As someone who has shopped regularly at Walmart and Target I can tell you that Target would've lost the challenge if it was everyday household items. Walmart is less expensive than Target.
I used to have an Energizer branded FM adapter for my 2001 Ford Ranger (I upgraded from a wired cassette adapter) about a decade ago, and it was great. Then my truck got totaled and the 09 F-150 I got had an aux port built in, and I upgraded to a BT to aux adapter. Only thing is, the bluetooth added in lag, so if I was sitting in my truck before work or on lunch break, I couldn't watch TH-cam through my truck's speakers because the audio was out of sync with the video.
Ok, one weird tech thing I've actually used. I had a bluetooth to fm adaptor in my old 2005 truck for about 4 years before getting an after market double din. I think I broke... 3 or 4 from constant use and the adaptor in the truck is loose because it constantly sent electricity to the outlet, so I removed it every time I turned off the truck. Highly recommend if you don't want/ can't drop like $150 on an aftermarket double din w/o a screen
For context, it seems like they were using each places equivalent to grocery store delivery to deliver these items. These operate on a gig based Job system. similar to pizza delivery or doordash.
Walmart has a shipping option and a delivery option. One is the more traditional model of using FedEx. The other has a person go and pick it up from the store for you.
The onn streaming box is one of the best values for what you can do with it. I have mine kitted out with ethernet cable hook up, and many side loaded apps to get the perfect experience I want
I love my CRG9 at work but wanted a curved screen for home. Picked up a $199 34" onn display and had very low expectations but that thing actually is great!
You be surprised what you can find on clearance, especially at walmart. Scored 3 Cosair K55 keyboards for $13, 2 weeks later got 6 more for $5 each....all end up being used for work. Some here and there things balc in 2003 or 2004 I got a external DVD burner for $55 at another walmart, still using that bad boy.
Ive bought a handful of ONN branded products. Mice, cable adaptors, a gaming mouse mat, and a few other things. Honestly never had any issues with any of it, and I was honestly shocked with how good the mouse was (was like a $18 Bluetooth mouse and it is surprisingly good)... Not the best products but certainly usable and at a great price.

The thing about Onn stuff is in my experience it just deteriorates. Like it'll be fine for a week or two and then develop some weird issue like a keyboard randomly missing keystrokes on only the Spacebar, E, C and B keys.
I use Walmart+ as far as I know when you check out, it automatically put the tip at 10% or 15% so I think you paid a tip without noticing. Unless it was shipped (instead of delivered).
More expensive or not the motorola android auto adapter is awesome. I basically live in my car for work and its so much easier getting in and out without having to plug anything in. I use it with a wireless charging mag mount so all I have to do it place or grab my phone getting in and out. So much easier then seeing my coworkers fumble with their cords everytime. I've had it for 6 months and it's never given me an issue outside of one spot in Philly that android auto always stops working for about 30 seconds so there is some outside source there disrupting the signal but it reconnects automatically.

Please don’t set the expectation that we need to tip delivery drivers for stuff like Amazon, Walmart, or Target. I’m so tired of it.
The companies should pay them livable wages and not expect the consumer to tip.
I make it a point to not tip anywhere except for diners, tipping wasn't even a thing until people started doing it to get better service
@pAdude350 you don't tip the pizza guy?
Tipping in the United States came about because of the Great Depression.
Sounds like a problem for north america only :)
