I love that ten says it was a long time ago - and to him it was, by many hundreds of years - but it was also only eight years previous according to earth kdjdkdkd
The invasion is actually meant to have happened in 2150. I'm guessing that Four said the year 2000 to try to prevent the Daleks from successfully averting their failure in that invasion.
Idk in what category this would fall into but at the end of the daleks master plan the doctor was the only one to survive the time destructor, he was weakened but compared to sara and everyone turning into dust he got off pretty well

The daleks in that particular story do tend to speak reeeally slowly and very much like robots, thankfully as the 60s went on they spoke faster and more like they do in general
Not to be confused with the other time it was moved (by the Time Lords), then renamed Ravolox.

That one is "Genesis of the Daleks", probably the best classic story. Highly recommended.
I'm so glad the daleks went into a detailed explanation of how they would dig down.

I believe that was the contributing factor leading to The First Doctor’s body ‘wearing a bit thin’ and led to his regeneration!

I don’t currently have access to Classic Doctor Who, so I especially appreciate these - Thanks!
It’s on Tubi for free but they don’t have a lot of the first and second doctors as they were missing episodes but all episodes of the other doctors
Convenient that the Daleks should explain their entire plan to themselves, just in case someone was eavesdropping
1:00 The penetration explosive lol
I bet the Daleks would have been surprised if they had got to the Earth's core and found out it was full of spiders 😄
@@matthewstarkie4254 That's an excellent point
Can I suggest the doctor walking or running in the wrong direction? Happens constantly in classic who & has callbacks in NuWho too

I definitely feel like I've seen Tom Baker do it, and I can think of one specific example where David Tennant did it.
The Daleks were hilarious... Talk about over acting lol
This was only their second appearance. It took time for the iconic Dalek scream to take shape.
You should really put the episode names in the description, so people can easily check out the full stories if they're interested by this video.

Some of the continuity in the early Dalek stories is kind of confusing
