  • This video is a mix, or mashup, consisting of several variations on the battle music "Melody of Clarity" from the Fire Emblem series. It consists of soundtracks from the Nintendo Switch title known as Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
The song “Melody of Clarity” draws several parallels in order to divulge the true character and desires of the archbishop. It begins with an ostinato that closely resembles that of “Fódlan Winds.” Yet, the tone of the song is hauntingly mournful, almost crying out in remembrance of the peaceful days of calm winds. Thus, the melody of clarity first reveals a strong desire to return to the serenity of past times in spite of the pressing war. Next, within the melody, the leitmotif stemming from “The Edge of Dawn” can be heard shortly after. Like the desires of the lady of Hresvelg, the archbishop longs for change in the future of humanity, though such desired change varies between the two powers. The desires are the archbishop are clear, but her character is still concealed-until a new voice enters the melody. Throughout the battle music, the vocals of the archbishop resonate in the chaos of war. Just as the vocal-heavy piece “God-Shattering Star” is an indicator of the final battle, the “Melody of Clarity” likewise indicates the conclusion of a war. Not only does this stand as a reminder of the extent of decisiveness, but it also exposes the actual nature of the archbishop. Beyond similar vocal timbres between “God-Shattering Star” and “Melody of Clarity,” it is heavily implied that the vocalists of both pieces are no different as well. The King of Liberation was manipulative. The King of Liberation had much blood on his hands. The King of Liberation was simply pure evil. Is the archbishop any different? As “Melody of Clarity (Part II)” rings on the battlefield, the leitmotif of the “Song of the Nabateans” can be discerned, too. It is now unmistakable-the archbishop, or the Immaculate One, is a child of the goddess herself. From “Melody of Clarity” to “Melody of Clarity (Part II),” numerous revelations came to be, yet the battlefield is not the place to dwell on distracting thoughts. Within the battle music, a tune not unlike “The Apex of the World” once again stands as a reminder that the final battle is not upcoming-rather, it is here and now. The wishes of the archbishop are not unclear; the character of the enemy is no longer obscured. However, despite the newfound epiphanies, one thing is of utmost clarity-the war and its associated bloodshed undeniably need to end. On the field of beginnings, the end of the war begins with the death of the mystifying archbishop.

Your descriptions are always so amazing in how you weave thematic elements with the music's narrative. Makes me want to work out stories to warrant that kind of analysis.

Ironic that this plays in the route that hates Rhea the most.

You....definitely need to revisit the dictionary. "Irony" is not even a factor at this point.

@@optimaltt6070 I'll admit, I phrased that wrong, and what my current thoughts are might not coincide with what I wrote in my original comment.
What I would say today is, the attempts to make Rhea more sympathetic just makes her even more unsympathetic.

In the context of this song only playing on Golden Wildfire, the route where Claude goes just… off the rails and attacks the church almost unfoundedly, yeah that’s a comparable statement
