- How good is a beachfront campsite? This is one of the best beachfront camping locations in Australia, it is absolutely incredible.
We set off from Cape Range NP and set off south in search of this magical place we'd heard so much about. First, we needed to cross the tidal Yardie Creek. We knew we were in for a soft crossing but we didn't expect to get stuck on the way down to the water! The soft sand caught us out and we put the shovel and Maxtrax to work, and not for the only time that day!
After making it across the creek we meandered down the coast for a couple of hours until we arrived at the Winderbandi campsite. We checked in with the camp host and he warned us to prepare for extremely soft sand to make it to our campsite. Once again, despite our best efforts we got stuck in the sand and the shovel and Maxtrax were out again.
It was worth every minute as our beachfront campsite was revealed at the end of the access track. We found absolute paradise! And this was our home for the next 5 days!

Great episode guys looks like a top place to visit. The thing I like about your channel is it is a little bit more real than others in that at you leave in from time to time the kids melt down moments which to me says that kids are kids and if you are travelling with them you have to take the good times with the bad times that some of the other channels out there don't show you. We have sat on the north side of Yardie Creek many times and watched 4wd vehicles attempt the crossing with many left sitting in the incoming tide . Applaud your taking the caravan through to Ningaloo Station that way . PS love following your travels .

We didn't make it up there this time Stuart. The kids weren't at their best the day we were there so we left it for next time.
