G'day Simon. I noticed a quick glimpse of the portable water filtration case in your video that I had dropped off to you and Liz (we all stayed at the Subscribers Hipcamp at Hervey Bay a little while ago) as requested by 'Bob' from The Thirsty Nomad. How well did it work? Having had a quick look at the system when I Bob dropped it off at my place and reading through the instructions that came with it, I think I know the answer to that but I'm keen to hear your thoughts. Before seeing Bob's device, I was thinking of making a similar portable water filtration system myself using my Bluetti (AC200Max) to power the pump. The device I was thinking of building would only work for filtering freshwater from a river or creek and definitely not saltwater unlike your desal system and I most likely wouldn't drink the water unless I absolutely had to (would still boil and sterilise it if so).
Hi, just a thought ! We have a Portabote . It folds , no bigger than a large surf board really. We love ours. Enjoy your Sunday videos even if we travel (full time )very differently to you guys. Anyway stay safe and we always look forward to your Sunday videos.
It's working but not really practical to make enough water for two families for 2 weeks. We kept the de-sal water for drinking and the ground water for everything else.
Do Bec and Wade have a TH-cam channel? I was looking for "Our beautiful chaos". Would love to follow some of your camper friends if they have channels 😁

Enjoyed your latest video. Just please note that it is not good practice to clip the front seat belt to avoid the sensor going off and not wear the belt correctly especially when you are sending this video out in the public domain. Seat belts save lives and it could save yours.☹
Pretty special place in the World alright, great snorkelling too. Have a great week everyone. Cheers
Thanks, you too!
Woot a place … added to da To Do List 🤙🍻
Have fun!

Hey! Yeah, it's pretty good. It works well. We haven't tested the water scientifically at all but we're happy with it's performance.
Cheers for another video. We appreciate the water spot. Hopefully it's still clean and running next year when we're there.
I hope so too!
Have to check out that old whaling station.
It's a great spot to explore!

Sounds great! Thanks so much
Epic content thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
Looking very chill guys.
How good is it to be able to step out of your home and straight into the reef 🪸 I mean - does not get better than that 🤙🏼
Thanks, guys. It's a special experience, that's for sure.
What a magic place
Cheers, it really is!
Looks awesome there! Just wondering though is the de sal system in the van not working?

They are on instagram (@ourbeautifulkaos) but they don't do TH-cam.
What an awesome Video and camp spot too! Are the wetsuits and rashies for the stingers or more sun protection? I imagine the water temp is perfect 🤙🏻
Thanks so much. Yeah, the wetsuits were for the stingers as there'd been Irukandji in the area. Bonus is sun protections as well.
Simon, please clean that dust spot off your sensor 😊😊
Thanks for the tip.
Dont ya have a magic De-Sal plant on ya van ??

What where the GPS coordinates of the good water hole?
There's a Google Maps link in the video description 👍
What was that water pump and case setup. Custom or a ready made kit?
It's a ready made kit, but they don't make them anymore.

Cheers.. It's a bad habit, I agree.
Good stuff guys ( who was it caught the tuna )
😆 Cheers!
Another TH-camr who thinks seat belts are not needed offroad. It must be a W.A. thing cause a lot more over there are doing now.
