  • We've been looking forward to visiting Ningaloo Reef for years! We've finally made it to one of the best coral reefs in the world.
    Join us as we explore Cape Range National Park, and all that Ningaloo has to offer.
    Ningaloo is the largest fringing coral reef in the world which means easy access for snorkelling, diving and fishing. Stretching 260kms along the Western Australian coastline, Ningaloo Reef contains 50% of all coral in the Indian Ocean and is home to over 1500 marine species.
    We based ourselves at Osprey Campground for our stay, only metres from the beach and easy access to some of the best snorkelling in the region.
    From here, we could day trip to some other highlights in the area, including Oyster Stacks and Turquoise Bay. Join us for an underwater adventure exploring one of our favourite places in the country!

    What an amazing episode. I have never seen this as up close and as real as you guys have filmed it. Your film work is exceptional as a family unit.

    What a ripper looking spot……agree that it has to be on the list and will plan an extended stay. Simon’s excitement about the turtle and Harrison was so chilled…….classic kids ! 😂😂😂

    I learnt something the other day. When corals are bright vivid colors, it means they are under environmental stress. These corals look healthy. Lots of happy fish chilling.

    Great footage! I recently found your channel from your weights video, and sitting back with a cuppa watching this video is so relaxing. We’ve been so uptight comparing caravans, going through all the pre-purchase comparisons, weight calculations etc and I think tonight I’m going to re-watch this with hubby and kick back instead. What an amazing spot 👌

      Thanks, Lee. Glad you enjoyed it. You get what you pay for when it comes to masks and snorkels. How much you spend depends a bit on how much you'll use it. Don't get the cheapies, they're not great.

    Did you do the drift at Torquoise (to the left when you drive in)? Looks like you just do the bay. A lot more marine life and coral around there. Great vid 👍

    • @TheLifestylePioneers

      We gave the drift a miss because it was a little tricky with the kids but we heard it was amazing. Cheers

      Yeah. Really easy. I would have just put a jacket on the kids and a tether. Sweeps along swiftly anda few good things to see. One of my highlights.

    QLD vs Ningaloo?

    • @TheLifestylePioneers
      @TheLifestylePioneers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's hard to beat Ningaloo for access. No crocs, snorkelling straight off the beach 👍

    • @stuartkent383
      @stuartkent383 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheLifestylePioneers I'm in Mackay at the moment. Sand Flies, nasty jellyfish, snappy handbags, 5mt tides so usually 300mt walk on sand flats to get to waist deep silt water, no snorkeling without a big boat trip. Not whinging, just saying Ningaloo has everything and accessable to anyone. Hands Down. So homesick.
