But after some research, considering that the store bought pit barrel cooker/smoker is cheaper than the kit.....and I don't have to in through all the steps of finding a food safe barrel, cleaning it, sanding it, painting it, etc etc etc.....I think I will just buy one.
Yeah I’ve heard good things about those. I just don’t like the intakes in those pit barrel cookers. Also I’ve seen a few people say the bottoms burn out faster than a normal barrel. Something to consider. I love the intake pipes on the one I built because you aren’t bending over every time you need to adjust the temp.
Dorothy, definitely Dorothy!
That seems to be the top one so far
Awesome
What brand of paint do you use for the lid? And what do you use to clear coat the body with? Im building this in the UK so has to be weather proof
So the black paint on top was Rustoleum high temp black. And the clear coat on the drum was Rustoleum high temp clear coat. Got both off of Amazon
@@BBBarbecueandPits do you clear coat the inside
@@benormond5441 no you have to burn the liner off then I just spray the inside walls with cooking oil
