Great video Gene! Thanks for the tour and the valuable insight! Looks like it’s gonna be a great yak. Can’t wait to see how the new camera setup works for you!
Nice yak!I heard the other day you were coming down to the bayou man! Pretty stoked. Love watching the videos. You are one of the ones who inspired me to kayak fish and document the journey. Im gonna be truck camping there for 3 days. Hopefully we can pop a top and tell some lies...
Look into the rail blaza G hold to hold paddle. You can just sit paddle down really quick and quiet. I️ used to use to yak attack roto grip and the G hold is awesome for quick paddle sit down and stay quiet and also has little rubber straps to hold paddle down if need to. I️ actually leave paddle in them for transport on truck.
How do you keep all the wires from contacting water. My Mayfly always gets some water around the foot area from the scupper holes. Also when you add your fish finder battery under your foot pad how do you keep water out?
I live in Brazil and I fish with kayak. here this modality is just beginning and we have few accessories. very cool your channel and I would like you to enjoy mine. a big hug
Ryan Garrett I️ know this question is for gene but the diablo paddlesports are probably most stable kayaks you can get. And the Diablo Amigo comes at a much lower price than a lot of the jacksons
If that thing flip. I wouldn't come home to my wife and explain why I lost 8 grand(I'm guessing the total cost of that kayak and its equipment) of stuff in a single day hahahaha
Just a tip 50 lb braid is crazy overkill for inshore fishing. I use 15 -20 lb braid. You get longer casts, more sensitivity, and and more line so you don’t get spooled on a bull red or a jack.
Great behind the scenes look at what goes into bringing your high quality videos to us. Thanks

Will have to look into that battery box!!!!

Good looking rig.
*Catching Bass for Cash*
Wish i could go out and get a kayak like that.
Doesn't the black box get very hot on sunny summer days? In Nashville, the black surfaces of my boat get too hot to touch!
Where do you put your fish when you catch them and how do you haul around your kayaks?
Awesome setup
Fluke, Are you not fishing out of your hobie anymore? if not. why? Do you think the mayfly is better???
How do you have room to fish with all those cameras?
What do you have your Kayak setting on? I could use those in my garage, would storing the yak on those be okay? have the cuda 12 hd
Is this the same mayfly that you had earlier this year?

How 'bout them Bulldogs?? Roll Tide!!! I'm kidding. Nice yak. I may have missed it in the video, but what's the weight of it the way it's setup?
Base weight of the Mayfly is 89lbs. I'm not sure after it's loaded.
Good video. I figured you would of been sporting a New bonafide kayak.
What is the amperage of your battery and how long it lasts with the cameras on? Where did you get that box that's the battery in?
Marcio Chinês he literally explained who made the box and everything as he showed it
I've been waiting!
how do you like the 2018 seat, vs. the seat that was in the 2017?
Gene what's the best and most stable kayak for only bass fishing in fairly calm water
Most fishing kayaks are stable. The most stable ones that I've been in are the BigRig and the Mayfly.
Ryan Garrett I️ know this question is for gene but the diablo paddlesports are probably most stable kayaks you can get. And the Diablo Amigo comes at a much lower price than a lot of the jacksons
Would you recommend this or the SS127 for fly fishing?
About the same. The 127 is more stable though
Flukemaster Thanks! Is one more maneuverable in or out of the water than the other?
Gene i dig it, what size battery ah is in the box? lithium? Also get you a pedal yak you will lose that gut lol jk, tight lines bro
It's one of those small sealed cell 12V batteries that they use to run wild game feeders.
man wish I could get free and wet a line with ya...ya gonna have an awesome time
Sweet
Nice
Just a quick question.... and if u flip?
You don't flip in this kayak. You may fall out but the boat won't flip.
Flukemaster OMG U RESPONDED
If that thing flip. I wouldn't come home to my wife and explain why I lost 8 grand(I'm guessing the total cost of that kayak and its equipment) of stuff in a single day hahahaha

+Salty Sniper I use it for castability the larger diameter casts better on baitcasters.
Tough loss last night Gene
