What are your thoughts on Bruce’s Beach history? This is a beautiful home on a beach with a heartbreaking past. While the Bruce family was never made whole, the gesture is definitely one I respect.
Manhatran beach homes are nice but for 10mil u need bigger lot size not like 2500sqft land. In Manhattan hermosa beach 7mil 8mil 10mil houses are on tiny "2.500"sqft lot i know with ocean views close to the beach. But i can't even think of living in a house on 2.500sqft lot after paying 10mil on a house. This 4.000sqft home with nice ocean views close to the beach is on 2.500sqft lot too😅
I totally understand where you’re coming from. Especially if you have a large family this would be too small for comfort. I’m a single guy so for me the beach lifestyle is more important than space. When you can afford a $10M beach house, you likely have other properties that are larger in other areas and that’s my ultimate goal. One day with hard work and God’s Blessings, all of our dreams can come true! 🙏🏽🙌🏽
This is a very well thought out house. They made a great use of space. Heart breaking to hear this history. An attempt by the Bruce’s family to create some dignity for their own community, was ruthlessly crushed because of the sickness of racism. On top of that, it took a century to acknowledge the crime.
I’m glad you enjoyed the house, I agree for beach houses the layout is ideal. Yes, truly heartbreaking! The black community historically has been held back from wealth building opportunities and in the Bruce’s Beach example simply had them taken away when acquired. I’m glad Manhattan Beach as a small city decided to do something like this, it definitely doesn’t make the Bruce family whole but it’s a powerful gesture that I respect.
Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed the video, house and Bruce’s Beach story. I took a chance sharing it but it’s a neighborhood that I truly love so I felt it important to share. I appreciate your support and will do my best to tour 1395 N Doheny for you!🍾🥂
