I don't understand some people in the chat going "nooo, why didn't Arle kill the kids". It was established way before this quest that she loves them in her own way. She is allowed to have feelings and still not be a good person. That's very human. I guess I find it baffling that people want a cartoonishly evil character with no depth, look at people saying they'll "quit" if Columbina isn't some unhinged psychopath with nothing else going for her. That's *not* how people work and Dottore already exists (for now). Arlecchino's story and character is a masterpiece in my opinion.

She has admitted to being willing to kill and betray for no other reason than convenience. Her desire to save Fontaine was only because it would inconvenience the House of the Hearth. The only reason she killed the Mother was because there was a smidge of irritation at her for forcing Arlecchino to let Clervie kill herself with her blade. We can assume it was because of friendship, but even Arlecchino herself seems somewhat doubtful. Had she not met Clervie and decided to pursue her wishes, Arlecchino would have run the House nearly the same way the Mother did.

If you want to say that any soldier being willing to kill and killing for their country is wrong, that’s fine. But most people are a lot more understanding and forgiving of wrongdoings done under military obligation than wrong stuff done under free will. You can read Arle’s hesitation to call it friendship as a “smidge of irritation” but a lot of other people are reading the romantic undertones of that. You’re welcome to read it however you want, but I don’t think she’s evil at all. She is a lot more human than some of the other villains we’ve faced.

Amazing quest, cutscenes, fight, music, everything! Hope the quality only goes up from here. I also wasn't invested in every story quest from start to finish the way I was with this one
you should know that Arlecchino did this because she experienced the horrifying things MOTHER did the old ways. Arlecchino felt it when she killed her own bestfriend. And she just doesnt want to be like MOTHER even shes on the wrong side she still have a sense of justice and love.

She has to be OP , she's probably a khaenriahn royalty and she's also the 4th of the fatui harbingeres , I'm happy they made us unable to even touch her , i mean , we couldn't even defeat the 6th fatui harbinger until we got a help from a God and did a more than 60 loop that we lost in all of them until we found the perfect chance to sneak up to him and defeat him , so there's absolutely no way we can defeat any harbinger above 6th , that would make no sense at all
Only one plot hole. Freminet knew about Arlecchino’s relationship with Clervi yet never mentioned any of it until after the whole quest. How did he know this entire time and not say a single word about it when we, as well as, lyney asked if anyone knew anything. There would’ve been no need for us to distract Arlecchino because there would be no point for lyney, Lynnette, and freminet to look for more details.
Dottore is not evil, his experiments resolve around attempts in making tear free kid shampoo, and most of the rumors are from failed attempts, and we know kids like to exaggerate. Even here, he helped making memory erasing potion to help kids get over the traumatic events of those experiments, he's a good guy.
