I'm 72 and I know that stretch and it's feeders intimately,,,,,,,, back in the day big browns were common (20-25"). Rainbow plants abound but browns and brookies are still around.
Maybe 20 years ago I participated in a shock survey with a TU chapter in the Lower. It was officially a river but a small one. 8-10 feet across, 2 ft deep with holes to 4ft? Most fish surveyed were 6-10" BUT... at two different times I saw a 20+" brown float to the surface after being shocked. I was stunned (pun intended). I would never have believed it had I not seen it with my own eyes. Two of them. It was crazy.
What a great spot! I will be around Boyne Mtn. area in early May and cant wait to give some of the local streams a shot. So beautiful around there. Great video!
I like the fishing, and the beautiful river, and the video quality is nice. I understand the music is yours, but I find the music a bit distracting and a bit harsh for the topic and surroundings. The gurgling of the water and the chirping of the birds is all you need. Save the music for walking down the road or driving the car down the two-tracks. Please take this as a good intentioned critique. I did enjoy the video. I wish you tight lines!

That sound awesome. I’m sure there’s still plenty of bigger fish. But was pretty happy with what I got that day. Beautiful stretch!
Probably one of the most beautiful rivers in lower mich.
So many good ones, but you could def make the case for Jordan!
Gorgeous river! Just so little production in my opinion. Been the quite a few times. An amazing place to just wander off the river bed though!
Ive kayaked the jorden down stream several times. Its a very cool river. Gets swift for alittle bit after this before it opens up and slows down.
Awesome video, that looks like paradise
It really is!
About how big do the brookies get?
I don’t know. But most the ones I catch there are 7-9 inches.
That culvert you hit is flooding with them at the right time. Just not not in season.

Yeah, I think that makes it a bit extra fun. Pulling out a fish that seems huge compared to its home. A nice surprise:)
I’ve fished the Jordan for over 35 years pulled some monster natives out of the cedars and below Graves Crossing
Beautiful location!
It really is!

It’s been a while and I don’t really remember. Just used google maps to hop around multiple spots.
@@andrewpotterphoto1 okay thank you
You should make more videos like this. I love the music that goes with fly fishing.
Thanks Bob! I plan to do 1 or 2 a year:)
Any relation to the Greg Potter of various Michigan Trout Unlimited chapters and work?
No. But you are not the first to ask. I’ll have to meet him someday.
Really like your videos--well done!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it.
Good video ❤
Thanks 😁

Wonderful area to fish. Lots of streams to explore:)
Where is the bridge you are by right in the beginning?
We’ll, it’s ground upon to give exact location. But I find most things on google maps.
