This channel is dedicated to fishing and guitar. Sometimes both.
I'm located in Michigan and prefer fly fishing but don't mind spinning gear, especially from the kayak.
My guitar playing is influenced by jazz, classical and contemporary music.

Blaze would like it.
@@tomasvalenzuela4044 I appreciate that:)
With the weather cooling down, would the fall be productive to fish?
@@Vi-Tai So, I think this stream closes at the end of September (check that). But it could work. My own experiences with this stream are limited to Spring and early summer. I’m usually targeting other species in fall. Good luck!
That culvert you hit is flooding with them at the right time. Just not not in season.
Gorgeous river! Just so little production in my opinion. Been the quite a few times. An amazing place to just wander off the river bed though!
danke, wunderschön👋
Danke!
wow, better than the original. Thank you Korey es regards from Ody Slim
Thanks so much!
What a beautiful voice. Regards from Ody Slim
Appreciate it!
where do you catch the most? creek chubs or trout, I want to catch some but I havent had luck
@@elijahmorelli7852 These are trout, though I have caught both there. Bring a thermometer and stick to water under 70 degrees in the spring.
@andrewpotterphoto1 I know they are trout, but creek chubs are more common there, where should I go?
@@elijahmorelli7852 Rochester Municipal Park
@@andrewpotterphoto1 thank you
which black river...michigan has two.
Lower Peninsula
Just curious what dry were you using in August?
I really love this version awesome job. ❤
Thanks so much!
Ive kayaked the jorden down stream several times. Its a very cool river. Gets swift for alittle bit after this before it opens up and slows down.
Lovely.
what part of mi areyou in like east jordan or elmira ?
It’s been a while and I don’t really remember. Just used google maps to hop around multiple spots.
@@andrewpotterphoto1 okay thank you
I love this stretch. I lost a 12 incher there a decade ago.
That would be a nice fish there!
Korey you really connect with the lyrics in a totally natural unforced way
Nicely done
Best song ever Rip Blaze foley
Beautiful, Clay Pigeons.
Love it. some great hatches...
Is this pigeon river up north or pigeon river in the thumb? If it’s in the thumb what camp ground is that at the beginning?
This is near the top of the mitten.
Haha! She can sing. A few yrs ago she was doing porn, now shes singing! Good for her!
I'm 72 and I know that stretch and it's feeders intimately,,,,,,,, back in the day big browns were common (20-25"). Rainbow plants abound but browns and brookies are still around.
That sound awesome. I’m sure there’s still plenty of bigger fish. But was pretty happy with what I got that day. Beautiful stretch!
Great job done! :-)
That first Brookie was kept out of the water way too long. Keep those fish wet and try to keep their stress down to a minimum.
tears
I think I have watched this 10 times, at least. Reminds me of a trip on Sullivan Creek in the UP a couple of years ago. No Brownies though.
So glad you like it!
May I ask where you were able to access this from? It is not easy to do! I live in ypsilanti
I should have watched the whole video! Different paint creek
Wonderful rendition of a beautiful song, great job. Thank you.
Thank You!
Where is the bridge you are by right in the beginning?
We’ll, it’s ground upon to give exact location. But I find most things on google maps.
Is there any good access without having to wade in the water? I am just getting started and don't have waders yet.
Probably, but I don’t know any. It’s often difficult to fly fish off the banks. On warm days you can go in with shorts;)
I love the South Branch! Caught my best brown trout there with guide Matt a few years ago. On a hackle stacker at dusk in June.
A virtuoso performance for a captivated audience. :P
What time of the year was this?
Unmentionable.....
Very Nice fishing!
About how big do the brookies get?
I don’t know. But most the ones I catch there are 7-9 inches.
amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks so much:)
Thank You!
John Prine is grinning' up above. 🙏🎸
Blaze Foley wrote it..Prine just covered it..and acknowledged that Blaze wrote it.
Wonderful cover! She nailed the essence of the song.
Shes great and beautiful
I like the fishing, and the beautiful river, and the video quality is nice. I understand the music is yours, but I find the music a bit distracting and a bit harsh for the topic and surroundings. The gurgling of the water and the chirping of the birds is all you need. Save the music for walking down the road or driving the car down the two-tracks. Please take this as a good intentioned critique. I did enjoy the video. I wish you tight lines!
John and Blaze had a way with words, like " build me a Castle with memories, just to have somewhere to go" Thats all of us, so lets make the best of life before its all just memories.
Love this version! Blaze Foley's lyrics were perfect for John Prine's voice comeback on Fair and Square. Prophetic . . . I miss him.
sweet. tusen takk. w
Thanks!
its hide the sorrow from the people I meet
change the words to the song..... and you sing it like prine very good
