This video really eased my fears about leaving home. My husband got a new job, and we're moving soon. I feel so happy and thriving in our current home, so it will really be painful to leave our community. Thank you for sharing your experiences and your beautiful perspectives on change and growth ❤❤

I don’t know about the part about if you’re not moving then you’re coasting and “what kind of life is that”. Some people are just happy to live a little life. I personally don’t like travelling. I love my grounded life. I don’t think constantly striving is always a good thing. I’d hate to be constantly moving.
It’s good you’ve identified that about yourself and are living life on your own terms. She’s doing the same, it just looks different than your life. Some of us aren’t designed to stay in one place forever. It’s not about striving. There’s joy in freedom and exploration. Others find joy and freedom in setting down permanent roots. We’re all meant to discover what works for us.

I think she meant just as a general term not letting fear of the next thing cause you to coast. She was using it for fear of getting attached if you’re gonna be moving and fear of falling in love if your heart is gonna be broken also. Like if you’re content then I don’t think it’s applicable to what she is talking about. If I understand correctly I think she meant when you let the what ifs or the worrying about the future stop you from doing what you want to do.
I agree. Sometimes simple life is the best life 😊❤ and home well you have to find home within yourself
agree. also, and this is why this youtuber is so ANNOYING, she did not leave maui for all that long. Left for one year, swanning around being an expat tourist at best at VERY popular expat hangout Portugal. Not innovative of her at all. More fashion victim behavior at best. Also, and this is what irks me the most, as i have gotten older ive found that the most important thing maybe you can do with your life, IS HELPING OTHERS. what is her touristing around portugal achieving helping others? what is she doing for the worlld? nothing in other words. It's all about me me me and I. All the time. She's a so called minimalist yet lives like a millionaire with a condo on maui. Good for her for being a millionaire with a condo on maui but it ain't minimalism. NOT subscribing to this narcissist.

Have you ever thought of doing van or rv life? Its simple living and you could literally wake up to where ever you want to be. A different scenery all the time!!! 😊
I'm from Scandinavia and it has been a dream of mine ever since I was a child to visit Hawaii one day (started when I watched Lilo and Stitch haha) and it is still a dream of mine to visit but I have yet never been outside of Europe. I like your videos not only because of minimalism, being inspirational and calming but also because of the small clips of Hawaii that you show!

I've moved many a times in a short amount of time because I struggle with the idea of settling or feeling as though I'm somewhere forever, though that is never the case. I believe there's too much of the world to see and explore and if you have the opportunity to live elsewhere, to take it. We're somewhere for a couple years before flying to the other side of the world; I cannot wait for the adventure! Wishing you all the best with your next big move. Im a veteran now military wife and ive moved to Georgia, Oahu, Colorado, South Carolina and now Germany since 2014. I live in eternal homesickness but I am always grateful to live a life not everyone can live, I am grateful to be able to see so many new places and travel the world and being used to change has come in handy in some many other areas of my life, i dont realise how resilient it has made me until I see others move or go through big changes. Good luck in Maui! We love it there so much and miss Hawaii every day ❤

This video definitely resonates with me. I moved overseas a few years ago, but only temporarily. Each year has felt like the ‘last’ but somehow I keep staying on. I’ve moved a number of times in all of this and have got my ‘minimalist lifestyle’ down to just one car’s worth of stuff, including furniture. It’s hard because I don’t know where I’ll be next year, and buying then selling furniture and items has been so costly for me. I want to settle, but I also want to continue to travel. It’s a constant struggle.

Soooo glad that you're back on Maui even if it's for the meantime. I lived on Oahu for 6 years and all over California for 4 years and no place beats Maui. Boston and Oklahoma City comes pretty close, IMO, but Maui is where my heart will always be. I pray that you come back and visit home to Maui when you move again.

I changed countries every 6 months for a few years. Awesome memories but also incredibly draining and destabilizing for some people. As long as one feels happy and healthy with frequent change, then go for it. Best of luck! I have a feeling they're going back to Portugal. ❤

But one thing I know is that, your family, your friends, your husbandand dogs, that’s it. All I need is my husband, my kids and dog and I can go anywhere. Been on Oahu for over 3 years now. My little family will be moving back to the mainland in a few weeks. I can’t wait to visit in the future when my baby is older and can enjoy it as much as we have.
