👉 Curtains bought at Yaba at the plaza described in the video.
Before going to the market, you need to know how many windows you will cover, which ones are single, 2-in-1 and 3-in-1 windows, the measurements of the windows that is the width and the length of the curtains.
Walk into the plaza and go from shop to shop to look for what you would like.Tailors are there to sew the curtains for you and you will pick them up on a later date when they are done. The tailors will tell you curtain sewing accessories to buy depending on the style you are going for.

👉 Dark brown sofa, the beds, centre table, side stools, TV console were made by the lady my husband found on Jiji. She is in Lagos and we later transported everything to the East.
My reviews of the Jiji lady’s work:
Sofa: The sofa is well done. We are happy with it.
Beds: finishing for the brown beds: 70% because a dark colour hides irregularities. For my white bed 65%. I have seen better finishing before. The poor finishing is so obvious. The only bed she did not make is the white bed in the visitor’s room.
Side stools: Looks ok from a distance, but upclose, no.
Centre table: Excellent but I must add that I sent the measurements to them.
TV console: mmh, this one I don’t know what to say about the finishing.
They hurried some of the jobs last minute.

👉 Duvets and Bedsheets: Any market where they sell bedsheet fabrics. I do not have the number of any specific vendor.

Love the lights on the stairs. Don't see that a lot in Nigerian homes. Also like the tile colours in all the toilet/ bathrooms very neutral and beautiful. Lovely and detailed house. 👌

Congratulations Flo! You have good taste and did a marvellous job supervising the finishing. Who would have thought that the incomplete house will look like this when done.
Something I observed in the finishing of Nigerian houses is the splatter of paint on doors and uneven paint work on the door frames! It appears they don't use masking tape 🤔
That is my biggest pet peeve with Nigerian painters. But you did not see that in this video though? 😂 Because our painter knows I hate that.

Your house is beautiful love the design. Grandma prayers blessed my soul, such a powerful woman of God. I had the opportunity to visit Aba and purchased cloth for daughters junior brides maid. I was in awe by the large quantities of beautiful cloth that was there. I would love to visit again and hopefully will get to visit a village

It's not too a big house which is exactly what I really want as Uzonna has given me. Am in Australia which is far from 9ja but I have planned my self by HIS grace, I know how to go around it. You put in your all and it definitely paid off. How long did you take to build it? You are so thorough and your attention to detail is commendable. I am now motivated to perhaps build back home in the future. I realised there were no air conditioning units, is the temperature in the village slightly cool?
We have not installed the air conditioning units yet. We have fans for now.
