I love how close George and Ringo were. I remember a story where Ringo temporarily left The Beatles and when he came back George decorated his drum kit with flowers.
Yeah thats when he had tonsillitis or bronchitis and Jimmy Nicol filled in for Ringo on the first American tour. Think he decorated his kit and put banners on the ceiling over his kit as well. Good people man
+Ellie Louise It was actually during the "White Album" sessions. Ring got pissed at all the bad vibes and left.He came back to Hari's floral welcome.:)
+Ellie Louise That was Paul. Paul had taken over the drums to show Ringo "how to do it". Ringo walked out and Paul coaxed him back and covered the drums with flowers.
Yes of course it was that incident yeah. And Ringo went off to Sardinia and wrote the main of Octopus Garden. Right? I definitely know it was George who decorated though,I remember Ringo saying (well that's what Ringo said anyway, but seems to be whole swathes of memory him and Paul are missing. LOL). But who knows. I disagree 100% John loved living in New York and not being made a big deal of. He just wanted to be like everyone else. And Paul (I think the smartest Beatle) is not enamored in himself. Just because him and John had more fame than Ringo and George doesn't mean they let fame get too their heads or are in love with themselves!

God bless you Ringo. We all knew George, though not as well as you. You are special to share your thoughts. Let us keep ours and continue to honor him, as you do.
George and Ringo always had a very special bond. Let's not forget it was George that suggested Ringo in the first place. Also George took a black eye for Ringo in the very early day's when people wouldn't accept him as the new drummer. And of course, the forgiveness on Ringo's part over the affair George had with his wife. They remained very close up to the very end. They used each other's talents on albums, etc. Ringo's tribute song, Never Without You, is a real tearjerker. And fantastic song.
Heaven keep you -- always, Ringo. I pray your kids (especially your daughter) are doing great. RIP George and John. Until we all meet again on a far better day.

I think Jacky Stewart summed up George's passing the best, he said I knew him and I've lost many close friends but none of them touched me as much as George's passing I can only imagine how his close friend must feel and when I read the comments of people who never even met him show how much he was loved.

yet its easy to see that below the surface his basic humanity and humility is totally intact, kinda wierd
i know guys who are nobodys whos egos are out of control.
there are street bums who are living in an ego bubble bigger than this guys got
The fact that he is like this, makes him so cool. I have so much respect for him because of that. He seems like he would be such a cool person to have a chat with.
It’ll be even harder to see another one of them go
George to Ringo : Do you want me to come with you! Kind hearted George
God bless you Ringo. We all knew George, though not as well as you. You are special to share your thoughts. Let us keep ours and continue to honor him, as you do.
What a wonderful piece of film. Lovely and uplifting. Thanks for posting
I liked listening they music since I was 9 years I still think that group is the best after all these years
Well maybe but I think that music you can get to listen all the instruments thank you
Love Ringo. Great guy and great drummer, unique style
Starr, still funny in this moment of deep sadness..
Heaven keep you -- always, Ringo. I pray your kids (especially your daughter) are doing great. RIP George and John. Until we all meet again on a far better day.
i love you ringo!
I love you too, ringo.
Such a sweet guy remembering a lovely man . . Oh my, over 50 years since I first saw them 💞
So sad when a good soul departs. Until we meet again...
I love both of these lads so much and George being my fav Beatle and Ringo being his closest friend talking about him made me cry... RIP George
Ringo is a lovely man.. hes strong person, and all the rest of beatles members
God Bless you always Ringo! You were truly a part of something extraordinarily special and you guys still rock!!! =)
Yes its sad even today. .the loss of George Harrison. .he was a beautiful warm hearted God loving Man..
MY SWEET LORD
AND AT TIMES GEORGE EVEN LOOKED LIKE JESUS TWIN BROTHER. .AMEN? AMEN!
George Will never be forgotten. .
can't imagine Ringo's sadness - love all these guys so much
Ringo is the best. The Beatles will live forever.
I watched this months ago and cried, and here I stumbled on it again with the same results.
ringo is so real.
Aww..best mates. The Beatles are / were the best band in my world and the work...🙏🏻🇬🇧
I think Jacky Stewart summed up George's passing the best, he said I knew him and I've lost many close friends but none of them touched me as much as George's passing I can only imagine how his close friend must feel and when I read the comments of people who never even met him show how much he was loved.
ya he really is the sweetest he just has the sweetest heart :)
I think George was making a joke but also saying he wanted to go away.
It was a joke, yeah, but I think it was also his way of telling Ringo he loved him.
Who's chopping onions in here?
It's that ole Beatles humor that's still there. Even in saddest times.
The world needs much much more of it.
God bless.
So sad to loose people who was like your brothers and spent most of your life with..
Even worse to lose them.
grief is a terrible thing. I lost my best mate a couple of years ago. still not got over it :(
The “ohhhhh god” so sad.they will be together again in heaven some day
Same here....Ringo is a gentle spirit...love him....we saw Saw him at The Greek Theater finale' performance this year, July 21st and what an awesum show it was...he gives so much back to the music industry....and to those who love him.....he just rocks!!!!!
That Barbara thing was funny
This made me cry...a grown man! So very touching. Luv Ringo.
George and Ringo were very close. Dhani calls him “Uncle Ringo”
A lot of us cried that day, myself included. Not ashamed of it in the least, he was always my favorite Beatle, with Ringo right behind him.
I never heard Ringo swear before .____.
Watch Beatles Anthology--he swears quite a bit, haha. But he just says it like it is and doesn't mince words.
Ringo was the peacemaker in the Band. A lovely man. This tears me up.
"Do ya want me to come with ya?" lool
Ringo was the glue that held the Beatles together.
nicely said ringo, george was great and so were the beatles. thanks and cheers.
So glad i had a chance to see you Ringo live in concert..Such an honor and one hell of a party.. Peace and love Ringo.
george-ringo friendship is much underrated than john-paul friendship
It is heartrenching that a bunch of humble musicians who made our lives so very special and happy as children yet two of them have left us too soon.
Great people John Paul George and Ringo...
Ringo was very close to George. When Ringo wrote Octopus’s Garden, guess who helped him? George. George voluntarily sat down with Ringo on the piano and helped him construct the song. What a good friend...
Good old Ringo still making a room of people laugh even when talking about his best friend, basically brothers death. It will be sad when Paul dies but when Ringo dies OH GOD my heart will miss a few beats that day.
No puedo pensarlo. Demasiado dolor.
as painful as it is for all of us...these guys changed history and to see the human side of them is joyful and at the same time crushing
