      we simply dont know exactly which genes cause it - and there could very well be MANY. we have pinpointed a few possibilities, but we cant just turn them off - because many genes control multiple other things and it's important to know exactly what all those things are before we mess around with them

      5 years ago when I started losing hair, I was searching internet for hairloss. I found 50 years old dude who said that 20 years ago scienetsts were takling about "cure" for baldness being close. Imagine, 20 years later there is nothing close to "cure", the only thing out there is finasteride which can only maintain your hair. That's sad.

    i dont get the norwood scale. my hairline is fine. My crown is quite thin though. There's also some thinning up towards the hairline, but my hairline is unaffected. I heard the A variants are rare only about 3% of population will get this type, and when they do it happens young like 16 to 17. But it's also the best candidate for HT because after 5A the balding stops and you'll never loose your hair again. My advice to you is to save up and get a hair transplant and be done with it.

    I was already kind of 1.5 then (but on the right side it is slightly more so maybe like a 1.6) after puberty but until now it does not change at all with mid 40 (and still not grey as same as the beard) so i hope it goes well into the 70s until i fully enter scale 2.0.
    I also grew my hair long first time when i was 40+ and i wish i have done that in my 20s or 30s.
    However, everyone grows a full beard and whatever but i must say that long (or at the moment medium long hair) stands really out at my age. But you really have to take care. I might be lucky with really thick and wavy/curly hair but it gets really dry and frizzy if you not take care.
    But i will let them grow now really long as long as i have so much hair. I really like it and women too ;)
    Guess i will see. I think indeed that a good diet also plays a big part, especially if you get older.
    In my family hair is really mostly good but not for all men, so it also is a bit of a lucky game from which part you get your dominating genes.

      I hope I can keep mine as strong as yours because at 19 I was a 1.5, now Im 26 and since I have started taking care of it more I am maybe 1.3 or 1.4
      I want to keep my hair during my 20s and 30s, if I start losing by 40s I wouldnt mind much because I'd definitely look older and thats more akin to the age, but having the hair loss of a 40 year old on my mid 20s is nightmare inducing literally

      @cinebient5343 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@adrianrenard1262 Late answer but however....maybe you have luck.
      I wish i had the hairline like Ronald Reagan since my hair is now shoulder length and it would add a good amount of volume for sure.
      But i think it still looks very thick and dense and i still let it grow. I hope at least i can get them healthy down to my breast.
      If they will get grey by that time i go for the witcher look :)
      Science say you might should look for your grandfather from mothers side.
      Sadly i never met mine since he died to early because of second world war.
      I mean it is just hair but it feels really good to have that long still healthy hair at my age.

    been on finasteride for almost 6 months now i had lots of shedding honestly seeing my scalp more though few baby hairs are coming more so in the vertex, i can tell, my hair is nipple height, so new hairs very obvious in comparison gotta wait 4 years for them to catch up, i also added duatstride 1x/wk 3 weeks ago, i feel without it no way ill be NW1 or 0 but now at least a small chance i'll see dutasteride 6 months in after maybe minoxidil a bit but that's more shedding
