I'd love to see how you routed the wire from under that flooring, into the pass-thru leading to the battery compartment. The pass-thru on mine is sealed all the way around. In the video, one second it's outside that pass-thru, and the next it's going through it.

Just ordered one, but my battery is in the back of a Teardrop Trailer. I'm thinking I can follow the process in this and your other video to install but run my own red/black wire from the battery to the hitch area, install Anderson connectors, and then use the rest of the parts that come with this kit to finish. Would be nice if you did a video of a travel trailer installation like this but realize you can't do a video for every use-case out there.

Between this and the solar charger (panels placed on the roof), is it possible to basically have power 100% of the time if you do vanlife, and drive every day to new park up spots? I'm trying to figure out whats more cost efficient, buying something like this, or doing the electrics myself and sorting it all with Victron parts.
I see that you give us 0.5V incremental on latest FW, do you plan to also add 0.1V incremental, because there are very different BMS in different cars, on power saving mode they stays at different voltage from 12.2-12.7V .... ? Thanks
Mine won’t work yet. The wiring is complete and was fairly simple. But it says it needs updates and connect. I hope this is a one time thing because it seems foolish to suggest us could work for adventures if Wi-Fi is needed
I have the Delta Pro with an extra battery and I have ordered the alternator charger. There was mention on another video about an adapter for plugging in the alternator charger to the delta pro. The delta pro has the infinity port and another extra battery port but no port that looks like the XT150. I can't find anything on the internet for an adapter that converts the 4 pin extra battery port to XT150. Am I missing something?
I just bought a DPU for my van. I saw that an additional connector is needed to use the alternator charger with the DPU but can't find the info on the EF website. Can you point me in the right direction?

It’s lots of other issues also: It can’t handle 24V. If you try to charge a battery from EcoFlow to car/battery/camper it will go in error mode and turn off. The setup for the 3 different modes is wrong. You have from car/battery/camper to the EcoFlow unit, 800w battery charge from EcoFlow to car…. And the last one maintenance charge @ 100w from EcoFlow to car……. Problem is that if you use maintenance mode it’s say @ website and documentation that the alternator charger with a EcoFlow unit will keep the car battery charged and ready. But the problem is when the car battery is charged is just turn off the maintenance mode and then the car battery can run to zero. Also the 800w car charging holds the 14V and never stops like it do in maintenance mode. It’s should be a choice on both modes but then we also have a dangerous situation. If you use the 800w car battery charging it will hold 14V forever and never go down to a safer state at approximately 13,6V that many chargers do. The problem is when a battery is hold @ 14V for a long time it can start to boil and explode. Also a battery charger should go to 14,4V before it goes down to maintenance voltage at 13,6V.

@@EcoFlowTech Hi. Already been thru support, changed the unit 3 times and last message from EcoFlow was that EcoFlow are aware of the issues but haven’t a fix for it yet. I got messages that it will be fixed in a firmware update later but they didn’t know when. So please use some resources to fix the product and issues that already sold before pushing out new models every week. Also get a firmware for the Alternator Charger some days ago but didn’t fixed any of the issues. Only a fix for connecting to Wave2.

However I would not recommend charging the delta from the house batteries while plugged into shore power. I would charge via ac plug. I would really only charge the delta via house batteries if you need the extra 120v power and maybe access solar. You can, however, keep your house batteries topped off with reverse charging. An isolator would be a great idea. Have a cable from the chassis battery with a shutoff of 13v for when the vehicle is turned off. And the other cable from the house batteries. Charge while driving. Keep house batteries topped off. If you connect an rv to a powerstaion's 120v. I always recommend turning off the converter since they are extremely inefficient. I believe the alternator charger in the reverse charging mode is the most efficient way to charge a house battery AND with solar. Hope this helps.

This product does not work. Many people have gotten it with firmware that is not compatible with even the unit that was shipped with it. Mine is not working, and EcoFlow is so far not fix my problem.

It took another two months to get a 50% refund. It’s made in China and customer service is in India. They can’t service their own products as they’re on the other side of the world. I had 15 interactions with them before I had to evolve the states attorney general. If you buy from them, expect the exact same treatment. Good luck to you with your energy independence.

The alternator is working it's ass off anyway when the batteries are already charged in a normal driving scenario. Now all that extra work will be put to good use.
