I mow an HOA neighborhood with huge ponds an fields that have been rutted in with a 64, now we have 72's, and these dummies are following the old wheel marks and not making bigger stripes. I had to take over. Can't trust the whippers around the pond. I have slid in a couple times. It's so wet in ohio that the lawn moves under the wheels as I drive by. 😊
i am 16 and recently just started working as an irrigation technician on a course in Canada and even though i am in charge of 250+ sprinklers a quarter of them being manual sprinklers it is the most fun job i have ever had and i live just across from the course i envy your courses in Florida up here in Canada on the course i work on those sand traps are all yellow and have weeds growing through some worse than others but yours in Florida are amazing the white sand really makes the course pop and when i say this i am not just trying to be nice YOU DESERVE SO MANY MORE SUBSCRIBERS
Absolutely hated this job. Boss was horrible co workers snorted coke every morning. If you ever go to Warwick hills golf course in gran blanc Michigan don’t, worst people you will ever meet
Very diferent job in the uk no way could we close the course for 10 days looks amazing though iam a mechanic deputy head but you have 10 times the machinery we do in england
“I’ve seen many just duff it into there. Pretty funny.” Dammit! I knew the grounds crew was judging me and now I’m gonna be even MORE self-conscious! 🤣
9:03 was verticutting but you corrected it later. You guys top dress after punching it looks like? How are you guys removing the cores, blowers or machine? I'm just a homeowner with some low cut Bermuda but I really enjoy your vids and the course maintenance information.
Yup, you’re right. Meant to say verticutting there…! Usually they will drag the fairways…break up cores…blow them off. I’m not sure if we are dragging this time but I’ll film it when it happens. Thanks a lot for watching.
Do you do soil test, if yes how do you collect your soil samples? considering how big your land area is, the tee boxes, then fairways, and greens...curious to know how your soil sample collection is done.
Hi Samuel - the Assistant Super (or Super himself) will randomly pull cores to test soil conditions. I believe they pull about 5in plugs. I personally don’t do soil testing.
Do you know what kind of wetting agent the course uses? I was actually looking for one for my yard b/c it's really compact and has trouble absorbing water
Do you have any tips on making straight lines when there’s no dew on the ground I ve just started mowing tee boxes and I can’t see my lines and then when I’m done I look at it’s curvy any tips?
Hey Henry - thanks for watching. Try finding a reference point in the distance to start from then as you’re about to make your turn…try being aware where you exit the tee box so you can use that to make your next pass. It isn’t easy…trust me…so don’t think you’re not doing a good job. Main thing is to get the grass cut. 👊
Love the grass maintenance videos. I just aerated and top dressed my lawn, still needs more work though. Let me know if they ever want to get rid of one of those Greensmasters!
Verticutting fairways is what I saw. Not aerifying , they weren't pulling plugs.
Great content fairway john sir 👍🏻🔧
You still vlog with the phone?
Thanks for watching David. Yup, saving up for camera. Thanks for the comment.
We just aerated this week. Shit, I had had to walk for two days for greens and tees aerification
We aerate 2 months ago
This year will be my third year doing maintenance, and I love it! Nothing beats beibg outside and seeing the sunrise every morning

Don’t let one bad apple ruin the entire industry for you! I know how you feel, management can make or break a place.
it's crazy how fast golf course turf grows
I working in golf course 6year I no this all
Work I love this job
I love it. It is obvious it is well taken care off... Not only most necessary stuff but a lot of effort to make it better and nicer.
What course do you work on?
Glad to see that you are back I was beginning to wonder if the new course didn't want you filming anymore.
Yea…it was dicey for a minute there. Thanks a lot for taking the time to watch. Really appreciate it Andrew
Why is the grass cut 2 times that day. Also, how many times a week is the course mowed? Great video!
Ok should have watched the rest before my comment. Still like your tours
Hey John, it almost looks like they a vertical cutting with the debris coming out the back. Looks like fun
