You wash your bunker rack we have a really old toro bunker rack and it hasn't ever been washed.
Its winter here in Pennsylvania, and I work at a golf course. We are a more poor course, but watching your videos about your average day makes me smile and want to grab my club car carryall and just go work! Yes I use my own carryall because we don't have the equipment, its my choice to do it, plus it makes it more fun! Thank you for sharing and please, keep up that amazing looking course!
but doesn't show himself doing anything.... just saying ima do it and its done...... slight disappointment
John! Where Are you? Miss your videos! Hope for a new season soon. L&R from Norway
Useless......never saw you cut a single blade of grass....on to the good videos.....that are useful....
It's not that easy, it depends on the course you work for. Some courses offer salary buts that's high end private courses they want people that will stay. Pay can be anywhere from minimum wage to 40K or 50K a year. It's definitely a job that should pay more. It also depends on job title. I get paid over 100K as a superintendent on a private course with other perks included. Some Superintendents struggle to earn 50K, just depends on the course and budget. Generally for cutting grass $15 and less.
You are probably the type of dude that slacks hard AF and then blames everyone else for the problems on the course. You didn’t do much out there, maybe you have a big enough crew to where it doesn’t matter, and maybe i am wrong.
Hey John. Hope all is well. JUST found your channel. Thank you for them. I’m a 53 year old about to retire from my job in Chicago after 27 years of service. Moving to Puerto Rico soon & was researching Golf Courses for jobs. I play Golf but I’m not a “golfer” per se. Never got out as much as I wanted. At my age, what Golf Course job do you recommend I apply for? Thanks again.
Shout out ser too your next video😊😊
New subscriber❤❤❤ i iexpirience 14 years in the golf course, but only my dreams is to aply work in other country❤😊
Hope you're well john miss the viddos
Cow pasture pool 😊
Love your videos John. Thanks
Why aren't you using the buckets ? Lots of thatch
Would have saved alot of money if you just make your own Gatorade.
Kinda wild to see so many weeds on the course
I hope you’re able to continue videos at some point in the future. I really enjoyed finding this channel
Thanks for the video. Could you share your thoughts on the best shoes/boots to wear for this type of work?
Thank you sir I feel the hardest part about the new job will be waking up at 4am
Can you make a decent living doing this? All the job postings I’m seeing are like $10-$15 an hour.
Do these get mowed every day
Youneeded to talk more about the golf job and the duties and various responsibilities, not talking about unrelated side jobs as a waiter, Uber driver, etc.
I searched your videos specifically to find out what kind of shoes you recommend, you had me all excited when you were showing off your outfit and then...🤣 I started grounds crew a few months ago and have worn out my tennis shoes, what do the pros wear?
I've been on my course since 07. Pay was mid until I got promoted to supervisor. Hard work, man. Now that I'm the mechanic without training and dude who aerates, it's often times a real chore. We mostly employ elders to work part time to mow, so my equipment operating time is almost nill. But, I love my course.
you are so lucky your course has the gators with the roofs mine doesnt
Nice videos…🤙
I’m about to try to get another golf course job
I worked at a golf chorus and I’m 16 but ngl it’s soooo fun!!
how do you get away cutting without baskets?
Beautiful! Do you use walk behinds to mow the greens or triplex? Assume the triplex is too heavy?
Dude I was just thinking in my head I think that’s St. Petersburg when you were going over the bridge I was there last year on vacation! That’s so sick I absolutely love it there. What course are you working at?
Yooo where you been dawg!
Somebody hired a 65 year old guy to mow fairways (me). I like the big machine. I love the sunrise. I love the wildlife. No a fan of my alarm clock going off at 5 am, but small price to pay.
I totally I agree. I worked at a golf course for 3 seasons. It was the best job I ever had.
Hope all is well brother!
I wish our golf course shut down while we worked on it
You are well ahead of the curve doing these videos it's a shame to see you stop. Finding a club and super thats willing to let you record behind the scenes I imagine is not easy, especially while still trying to progress you're career and position. Most clubs want to hide behind the scenes I'd imagine. Shame to see you stop posting though.
Just need to find a progressive club who uderstand the value of doing that. Aslong as you stay working and keep a bodycam on or something, so long as you're working hard it should be good. The industry has a shortage of labour and people interested from what I've been told so what you're doing and how you're impacting your audience is invaluable to golf and greenkeeping imo.
Are you still greenkeeping?
Rolling greens and spinning bunkers are my favorite things to do. Probably because they're the easiest 😂
Did you ever use a fairway mower
What's the differentiation for using the walk-behind greens cutter and the riding mower?
Better cut
I'm currently working at Timberstone Golf Course in rural Caldwell, Idaho. It's the 9th course I've been employed at in the vocation ( unofficial) of golf course maint. Fairway John does a good job of showing a typical day in the life of a g.c.m. worker. Going back to what I implied by saying ' unofficial ' vocation, to explain I'll say I've never found any official listing in any governmental registry as regards this type of work. You know, plumbers, electricians, etc. Veddy interesting.😮
It seems like it aint just mowing if you can do all tasks. I love grass. Weed that is. 😂
Many landscaping companies have female crews that weed and do spot chem treatment. I call them flower power
I never work with music unless I'm just walking. Machinery is dangerous, and music is a distraction
