    Sick ball. I love mine. I'll try and film some more this evening at league.

    My Storm Lock was my favorite ball and it cracked. I was wondering if this ball can potentially be a good replacement for the Lock it the surface was taken to 3000 or 4000. If not is there anything similar to the original Lock you can recommend? Thanks!

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually yeah, take it to 3000 and I think you're there. It really reminds me of a super shiny Sure Lock, so I think that will work.

      Have you tried adding surface to this ball yet? Just curious...I haven’t seen any videos with a surface change so I was curious

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No but that's probably a good idea. It can be kind of over/under sometimes with that shine on it. 3000 feels like it could be a sweet spot, but it already needs a lot of oil . .

    • @gr8slickg356
      @gr8slickg356 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Luke Rosdahl thanks! Yeah I don’t get along too well with 1500 polished due to over/under in general. The only 1500 polished balls I can throw as is are Code black and hy-road (also honey badger). I really miss my lock and am about 99% sure this will be my hopeful replacement for it. I’m planning to just have them surface it right away to 3000 right out of the box and not mess around

    Do you think the Hyper Cell Fused is a good ball for a fresh typical house shot? I'm a right handed bowler, speed is 15-16mph, rev dominant release.

    Hey Luke what’s going on great videos I just want to suggest something, maybe show a pic of the layout on the bowling ball just because some people like myself don’t really know numbers to well when it comes to layouts. Also I had a snap lock which was and is my favorite ball how would a snap lock compare to something like this on a house shot?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      James Stoveken I intentionally don’t show pictures because they don’t mean anything. It all depends on where your axis point is. Where my fingers are at could make the ball do something totally different for you if you have a significantly different axis point. So basically where the fingers are at on a ball doesn’t mean anything if you don’t have the same axis point they do, so if I show a picture, all I’m doing is contributing to the misinformation that’s still too prevalent in the bowling industry.
      Go back and watch my video Tech Talk 3, it explains everything I’m talking about, it should help you understand!

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      James Stoveken Also this ball isn’t terribly different from the Snap Lock, they both do a lot of similar things

  • @lovewinson3
    @lovewinson3 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    hcf vs P3? very similar in shape? or room in the arsenal for both?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      lovewinson3 Definitely room, I actually just drilled a new Fused to compare to the Nuclear, and the Fused is several boards stronger than the P3 and shapes differently too.

    Hey Luke, I've recently won a gift certificate for a Storm/ Roto ball, having trouble figuring out which one to get. I throw a VG nano, timeless,and iq fusion. Looking to fill the void. Any suggestions? P.S. love the vids. Keep them coming.

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it's ANY Storm/Roto ball, probably go for the high end. I know you've got the VG, but might think about something like the Code X or Idol. If you're looking to fill voids though, I could see a Son!Q on the high end, and a Hustle Ink on the low end.

    Hey Luke where would this ball fit between the sure lock, drive and timeless? Trying to get a decent arsenal created for a two handed-full roller with high speed and high rev. Any advice would help.

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nick Pearson Right up under the Sure Lock, above Drive, which is above Timeless

    • @nickpearson2505

      Luke Rosdahl For the higher rev players would the timeless and drive be more of a medium oil ball?

  • @TheStangMan68
    @TheStangMan68 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Luke, appreciate what you do with the videos! I love my Codes, but sometimes I need something a little stronger & snappier when i have to move towards the puddle in the middle. Looking between this, the Intense & NRP. If you had to pick one, which way would you lean? Thanks!

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doug Smith Tough decision. Intense cuts through stuff the best, Fused is the sharpest, NRP is definitely out. I’d almost go Intense, Fused can get a little more wiggly on carrydown

    Is there room in the bag for a fused/skid/code red/SonIQ/Marvel?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you're going on shape, maybe, if you're going on hook potential, there's overlap all over the place there. Fused is a stronger Skid, Code Red is a slightly stronger Marvel Pearl, Son!Q looking to be a slightly sharper Marvel Pearl. I wouldn't carry all those around and I'm bigger on shape differences than hook differences, so if I wouldn't carry them all around, there's probably no reason to.

    Thanks for the video. Would this be a good ball to pair with the Son!Q?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think there's a little too much overlap personally, but if you took the Fused to 3000 (where it really is best at), then I think they're good compliments.

  • @xLordJonx
    @xLordJonx 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Luke, thinking of taking this ball placing some surface on it and attempt to replace some of my beat up solids with this and compliment it with the All Out. Curious on your thoughts.

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's really much too angular in my opinion, you'd have a better shot doing that with an Intense or a No Rules Pearl. All Out kind of acts like a polished solid already, so that one you definitely could go with, but the Hyper Cell Fused WANTS to go long and snap, so I don't think surface is going turn it into a different ball. At most I think you end up with an original Crux, which really isn't a bad thing at all, just not quite what I think you're after.

  • @andrewbentley9253

    How does it compare to marvel pearl? Columbia lit? I use lit, then marvel pearl after lanes break down

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      4ish boards stronger, much sharper on the backend. Probably pretty close to a Lit if the Lit was polished, but still cleaner and sharper on the backend.

    • @LukeRosdahl

      Add an arrow and a half and a lot sharper? Lol, there are 3 to 4 ball downs from the Fused to get to the All Out, very different balls.

    I have this and I like it! How would this compare to the Phaze3 and IDOL Pearl?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question . . Phaze 3 is longer and stronger, this one is 1-2 boards stronger, Idol Pearl is a bit rounder and 3-4 boards weaker. All great balls though.

    • @Lanners19
      @Lanners19 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like hyper cell F is pretty much right between these other two newer balls.
      thanks Luke! Love your videos. Keep up the good work.

    • @Lanners19
      @Lanners19 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Luke Rosdahl I had one more question for you. Being that the original Phaze is also pearl how would you compare the three to that ball. With all the buzz about the P2 and now P3 I am very curious about your opinions on that and comparisons to it. You mentioned that not many people really knew how to use it and consequently didn’t like it. Well maybe now with more Phazes out there the original might prove more useful/understandable to many bowlers?
      I never bowl on house shots or regular leagues (only tournament and sport / challenge patterns or even harder stuff in general) so I think the phaze might be a good addition for me. Thoughts?

    How would this compare with the hy-wire

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unknown Codez Not too different of a shape, this one is just at least a full arrow stronger

  • @adamatkins1466
    @adamatkins1466 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How does it compare to the code red

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't see any comparison at all, Code Red is really smooth all the way down the lane, like an asym Marvel Pearl, the Fused revs stronger and is much stronger on the backend.

    • @adamatkins1466
      @adamatkins1466 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Luke Rosdahl so which one would me morw useful on sport patterns

    How would this compare to the Hy-Road Nano?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Virtually as opposite as two ball reactions can be, and the Nano is probably two or 3 ball changes away. From Fused, I'd ball down to a No Rules Pearl, Marvel Pearl/Dare Devil Trick, then Nano would be there.

    • @stephenbanks9543
      @stephenbanks9543 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Luke Rosdahl Thanks, I’m looking to add a new ball to my arsenal seeing as I only have an Ebonite Champion and a spare ball. What would you recommend to add? Love the videos, keep up the work

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd go with something more middle of the road then, so Hyroad Nano might be more what you're after.

    What do you think out of ten for this ball

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a solid 9 to 9.5. The shine can make it a little wiggly sometimes on carrydown is my only issue, otherwise, really really happy with it.

  • @cleswag2419
    @cleswag2419 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    So you think this is stronger then the intense?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      CleSwag24 No, Intense is still stronger by a couple boards

  • @MrICURNVS
    @MrICURNVS 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    What layout did you use on the Fused?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      MrICURNVS The usual, 65 x 5.25 x 40

    • @MrICURNVS
      @MrICURNVS 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would really like to add this to the bag. A long and strong pearl is what I am missing. BUT the numbers are so different on 14# its almost like a completely different ball. Prob going to try an Intense instead as the the 14# numbers match up better....

  • @shaunstreeter3171

    Is this balls cover not as responsive as the NRP? Ive always liked the nucleus core motion. The cover doesn't look to respond to quickly as the core transitions. Appreciate the videos you do and the honest perspective.

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shaun Streeter Cover is sharper on friction but yeah it does get down the lane pretty easy for as much as that core is torquing.
